I came here for a high tea experience on a Sunday in February and it was delightful! The tables were already set as we walked in with cute unique teacups. We sat down and ordered the tea we liked. We each got to choose our own tea and was told we could try as many as we want. I liked the pacing; I was able to have a long conversation with my friend without feeling rushed and no interruptions. Everything that came out was delicious. The scone was a little too flaky, in my opinion, but was still very tasty. It didn't look like a lot of food, but we were both very satisfied. I am definitely going to bring my Mom back for this. Also, the mini cakes here (not included in high tea) are absolutely gorgeous. They are not too sweet, and remind me of what I used to get at cafes in Japan. My favorite that I've tried so far is the blueberry cake. I love them all though. Can't wait to try more! read more

Wife and I came for afternoon tea to celebrate valentine's day. We made reservations about a month in advance. It doesnt seem like they'll seat you early, so show up just a few minutes before your reservation. I think there is adequate parking out front as its in a shopping center. They brought out our tea first. We ordered the breakfast blend, which was a loose leafed tea. It was fine. It is all served in smaller tea cups, so fellas, pinkies out! There is a picture of the food we were served, and everything tasted really good! Even the stuff that didn't match our taste preferences. It looks like they have a different menu of food items each month. Note that they will not make substitutions to the food that is being served unless you have a food allergy. In addition to afternoon tea, they also have coffee, desserts, and gelato that can be purchased. We were so full that we didn't take any extra sweets home with us. Sophie was our server and was super friendly and offered to answer any questions we had. For the price, and the quality of food, I'd come back for the regular afternoon tea. read more

Joining the chorus here: this is a good example of "You get what you pay for", and if you're perfectly happy with store bought ice cream sandwiches, Sees Candy, or supermarket ice cream, then yeah, you're gonna find this way too expensive. Personally I wish I could afford to eat this kind of stuff more often. (Actually, the gelato is pretty affordable.) But if you appreciate high quality ingredients and desserts, by all means, come on in! I got to attend a high tea service for one of my friend's birthdays. It was such a precious time! Their little treats are so delicious and I loved the bottomless tea options. We have gone here a few times. We love it, but we do wish they have specials for other things. It seems to be more European style tea time. So its super cute and the snacks are delicious. I do wish we had more savory, but I get why its designed the way it is. The follow the tradition well. Either way they should keep doing it and also decorate for different themes. It would be nice see something different. We only have this place for high noon. Compared to other cities we have a good one with great quality. We had THE BEST time here for my birthday. Three girlfriends and I went there on a Saturday after we reserved a spot for High Tea at 130pm. A small, intimate setting of about 7 tables. We opted to do the 'Classic Tea' and chose the 'Sweater Weather' tea for our first pot. The details of the place! So magical. From the individualized tea sets, pots, and music. We also tried the 'Dream Boat' and a Strawberry Cocoa Pu'er. The sandwiches for the month were a cauliflower curry type deal, Arugala and roast beef, smoked salmon and a crostini with spinach and melted cheese. All of them were amazing. We were served pumpkin scones with jelly and coddled cream. And for dessert, mini cheesecakes, pies chocolate covered strawberries and a sample of one of their chocolate bonbons. We came here for the first time. Cute place with lots of chocolates too. There were 6 tables set up for our seating time. Plenty of tea options too. The food was good. However, our scones were a bit burnt on the bottom, the mini quiche was cold, and mini cake was dry. Otherwise the other items were fine. There was just one server. There were other staff, but they were probably putting the food towers together and/or other items. One staff was initially helping with getting the tea orders together. First time visit to Bouchėe, only tried 2 items, I happened to run across the Blackberry Mojito and just had to try it out. It's very good, tastes like an edible cocktail for sure, but it could be just ever so slightly sweeter for me. But of course everyone's sweet tooth is slightly different. Overall a fun little treat for mint lovers. Also tried the Strawberry Pistachio Mascarpone, thingy? This was ok, not much pistachio flavor in this really, but the strawberry glaze was nice and it was very moist. Overall I may have to come back and try some of the other stuff. I would have tried some of the handmade chocolates, but for their small size, 6 for $16 just seemed like a lot after already going with the 2 small cakes for $10 each. Came here for the high tea on Easter Sunday. They have a good selection of teas. The sandwiches, scones and all their little treats were good. I hear they change the menu monthly, good to know. One word. Yum! The truffles are delightful pops of flavor. I tried the passionfruit cheesecake gelato and it was rich, creamy and filled with all the tasty swirls and fruit flavor. I also noticed the fresh fruit flavor in the fruit flavored items that seems to be in so well. It's a small shop in a shopping center, good amount of parking. My favorite bite from the sweets was the gingerbread macron. Our favorite tea was the Ginger and Lemon tea and the Love tea. The tea is limitless. I am so very glad we have a high tea place in Reno. It is a wonderful little shop with a great place for friends to come together and enjoy what Swedes call Mys (enjoying the moment and the comfort, coziness, and contentment while spending time with people you love in a warm and welcoming environment. The ambiance was lovely, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. However, the price was a major downside--our light lunch and tea for three, including tax and tip, came to $180! While it was a fun and novel experience, I'm not sure I'd justify the cost again, especially when we could have had AYCE sushi or A five course dinner with drinks for the same price. I came to Bouchėe confections on June 19th. A friend and I wanted to try out a local place in Reno that sold desserts and coffee. A quick Yelp search popped up this place and we were excited to check it out because the photos online look beautiful. I will say that the pictures did live up to their aesthetic beauty. Unfortunately because they were so good I forgot to take my own pictures. I purchased the strawberry pistachio cake and a cafe au lait. The coffee itself was impeccable when it came to the flavors that came through from the coffee beans. It was ground fresh, brewed, and then the organic milk used was superb. It was one of the smoothest coffees I've had in a very long time. Also the strawberry pistachio cake was so soft, light, and airy. You could taste every distinct flavor of the cake itself and it was so scrumptious. Because I didn't want to leave without taking a little something home, I ended up buying the variety box of gourmet chocolates. I got help deciding which ones to take via the individual behind the counter. The chocolates were just as delicious as the cake and coffee. I attended High Tea with a friend and it was so enjoyable. The tables were set with an assortment of beautiful teacups and the tea was served in elegant teapots. As part of the High Tea, you were able to try an assortment of different teas. My favorite was the Apple Cider Roobis which tasted just like warm Apple cider. The menu for this High Tea was Asian themed and included an assortment of sandwiches, scones, and delicate chocolates. I enjoyed the cashew curry egg salad sandwich and the spring roll sandwich. This review is only for the desserts. We tried the chocolate chocolate chocolate, the carrot cake, the strawberry pistachio, the matcha tart, and the tropical. They were all excellent but the strawberry pistachio was hands down my favorite. The vanilla bean mousse inside was to die for. They were all extremely sweet though and I couldn't have more than about a bite of each. While they are pricy, I think it would be difficult for one person to eat an entire dessert in one sitting and I think they would be best split. Also, there are no other places in Reno (to my knowledge, anyways) that sell these kinds of desserts. I would really like to return here for high tea but will keep Bouchee in mind if I need fancy desserts again. read more

I have been here to try their chocolates before but have always wanted to come for one of their afternoon high teas. We were trying to think of something to do for my first Mother's Day this year and decided that high tea would be perfect! We made a reservation online a couple of weeks in advance for 1:30pm. They only have a few tables set up for high tea, so we were happy to get a reservation. We got there and were seated right away. They have the classic high tea for $47/person or you can upgrade to the bubbly tea for $58/person which includes a glass of brut rose sparkling wine. Each person can choose a loose leaf tea for their own teapot and they do bottomless refills! I went with the lavender vanilla tea and it was lovely. The tea sets themselves are beautiful. The teapots do not have a filter in them for the loose leaf tea, so you have to put a little filter over your teacup as you pour it. The afternoon high tea comes with a tower of finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. We were so impressed with everything we had! The sandwiches were all delicious, our favorite was the mini reuben. The lemon poppyseed scone came with housemade spreads to add on that made it even better. We enjoyed all the sweets, it even came with one of their chocolate bonbons that they make in-house. My husband is not usually a macaron fan but loved the lemon one we had here! The chocolate covered strawberry stayed together as I ate it more than they usually do, I'm used to having the chocolate all fall off as soon as I take a bite. I had a big job done making all of my religious books made into spiral binds so they lay flat when opened. The assistant manager of the print place told me his girlfriend LOVES the chocolates from Bouchée. I looked them up on Yelp and saw many great reviews and photos. So I stopped in to get a thank you box for the print shop and a small box for a friend I am seeing tonight. Natalie, the owner operator helped me with some pictures for Yelp and she was nice. Her shop is clean including the bathroom for customers only, that I need as an older guy. There is plenty of parking outside in the strip mall. She offers many things besides artfully crafted bon bons. There are many products to choose from the shelves on the walls like seasonal jams and jellies. She recently began offering a collection of jelato by the cup or go ahead a buy a pint for home. She offers tea in the quaint dining area and she also has teas for sale. We spend half our time between Pacific Grove and Beverly Hills....sorry, NEVER was charged $17 for a tea pot ...not ANYWHERE in BH...and actually not even at Shangri-la or the Ritz tea time in London! High tea here is amazing (offere Bon bons are unique and the seasonal ones are always a must try. The individual pastries make you feel like you're a judge on a baking show and it's a winner every single time.
