Came here for Valentine's and was highly disappointed. My husband made a reservation for 8:15 we arrived at 7:50 was told it would be a 20 mins wait. We did not get seated until almost 9:30. Once seated we ordered immediately because we were so hungry. But again had to wait another hour for food. Appetizers were great but steak was completely burnt and flavorless. One of our random stops while visiting Suwanee Town Center. My gf's best friend's bf works here so she wanted to drop in and say hey. I was NOT expecting this place to be so nice on the inside. It sits at the far corner of town center at the bottom level of some condos above. I guess dining room opens at 5 or so, and we were early so we went to the bar. Very upscale all over this place, and the price reflects it. Expect to spend $35-$45 per person on the low end here. The seating at the bar was comfy and the bartender was very friendly. We also had a couple sit next to us that was awesome and helped with the entertainment value. Just perfect! We weren't hungry coming in, mainly just for a drink. However, we opted on the tuna tartar. It was very big and unique with the rice paper crisp on top for scooping. My girlfriend LOVED it. I wasn't the biggest fan of it ... mainly bc of the taste. However, the drinks were AMAZING. I opted for something I would normally never get: a chocolate martini. Wow! Talk about an adult chocolate milk! It was delicious, with some ice chips still on top and cocoa powder. I had two and could've chugged them. Both made the exact way both Times! My girlfriend had a cucumber gimlet, and geez, that damn thing smelled so fresh and so clean. Legit smelled healthy AF. Now I'm wishing I could tell you the lady who bartended for us bc she made amazing drinks. Blonde lady. Assuming all their drinks are that fabulous. A very pretty place, but the lounge - not the restaurant is where to go. Walking in - we were greeted with odors of old fish and acrid smoke. The staff were pleasant, but the food was flawed almost across the board. The steak was cooked to the right temperature - but the salad overdressed, sauces salty and seafood not fresh. We discovered the origin of the smoky scent was from the delightful firework treatment of dessert for special occasions. Very cool - but the lingering fragrance is off putting. Lovely, but an acoustic nightmare in the main dining space with overpriced and only fair food. Maybe the lounge is the real destination with more sound dampening and the smell of fresh coffee and live music. read more

My husband and I checked out Bottles and Bones for a date night and had a great time. We each had a cocktail- my husband's smoked old fashioned was impressive and my Lavender French 75 was lovely. We split the frito misto based on reviews I read- but even though it was tasty (the tomatoes were so good) it was not very impressive for $22 (the coating kept falling off the calamari and shrimp). The lobster bisque however was DIVINE with huge lumps of lobster in it. I wish we had gotten a bowl and not just a cup to share! My husband got the KC strip and I got a lobster ravioli special. Both were fantastic. We split the Mac n cheese and added lobster- it was really delicious although extremely expensive at like $35 for a side portion. He got a glass of wine and I finished dinner with a caramel espresso martini. Overall we spent $300 including tip to give you an idea on the kind of menu it is. Would definitely recommend for specialty dining or fancy occasion. FYI- The restaurant's dress code and "dining guide" on their website were a bit intimidating but they do not appear to enforce many of their rules (there were a couple young kids there on a Saturday evening, many people wearing trendy ripped jeans and cropped halter tops, etc). read more

TL;DR: If price isn't a factor, Bottle & Bones is a solid choice for a steakhouse without having to travel into the city. The atmosphere and staff are all accommodating and provided a pleasant experience. Bottle & Bones is located off Buford Hwy, next to Suwanee Town Center Park. The restaurant can easily be spotted from the road, if you're having difficulty just looking for the huge LOVE sign, it's directly across from it. The restaurant is sectioned off into 2; one for dining and the other area is more of a lounge/bar with live music. The dining area is beautifully decorated and dimly lit, perfect for those looking for a romantic night out or trying to leave a good impression. We made dinner reservations to celebrate my mom's birthday, and surprisingly the dining area was practically empty; granted it was very rainy on a weekday. The lounge area was seemingly a bit more busy. I personally think you can learn a lot about a steakhouse based on the steak knife they provide, and if this holds true, Bottle & Bones sets you up for a great experience. We ordered the Baked Artichoke & Olive Dip and Fritto Misto to start. Both dishes had a lot to offer and although we shared these two appetizers amongst 4 people, they were very filling on their own, I would suggest just grabbing one appetizer since the portion size is pretty generous. (pending on how much of an appetite you have or if you're a competitive eater disregard this comment, please [just kidding]). Shortly after our main entrees arrived. Mom: Butterflied 10oz Barrel Cut Filet - Medium Brother: 14oz New York Strip - Medium Rare Dad and I: 32oz Tomahawk Ribeye w/ 2 lobsters - Medium Sides: Sauteed wild mushrooms, Au Gratin Potatoes, Roasted Brussel Sprouts My mom's barrel cut filet came out a bit overcooked, but it wasn't to the extent that we would've asked for it to be remade, but it did make it a bit drier and tougher to chew that she would've liked. Had to request a side of steak sauce to balance it out. My brother said he enjoyed his strip and it looked to be cooked to perfection, so kudos here. We requested the Tomahawk Ribeye to be cooked medium because in our past experience, requesting for anything less came out to be undercooked due to the thickness of the meat. In this case, it was also a bit overcooked. Especially the cuts closer to the ends of the meat. No complaints though, just room for improvement :) Out of the sides, my family and I would recommend getting the brussel sprouts. This place is a nightmare disguised as a high end restaurant. Parts of our order wasn't placed and our server blamed the kitchen but was secretly telling the manager we were being impatient. We told the manager we didn't want the food anymore and we just wanted the check. He responded that it's a good idea that we leave. We were shocked. We approached him and asked what was going on and he pointed to the server and said we were being rude to her. Then the server said we were just being impatient. All the while the food never came. As the staff was pitting against each other the assistant manager Mr. Oakes threatened to call the police. At that point we realized why we hadn't eaten there for over a year. This visit went wrong in several important ways, so we chose to send a private message instead of telling the world all that had taken place. Update: Valentine 2025, we were on our way home from dinner and decided to give this place one more try. It was more insults to injury. We came here after dinner for cocktails. We sat at the bar and ordered a split of wine. We asked about appetizers and were told we had to purchase the Valentine's Dinner. I said no, we just just wanted a glass of wine. I was really excited to try this place, I really felt that because this was in Suwanee, surely it would be like the other upscale steakhouses in the immediate surrounding areas (i.e. Frankie's, The Oak, etc.).. that being said, the pricing is similar but the food and service here is lacking. I don't believe the quality (or size for that matter) is worth the price. Rundown of what we ordered: seafood tower for two (got 3 oysters, 3 shrimp, half lobster, tuna tartar, crab)--for two people I would at least expect 2 oysters/shrimp per person, tomahawk (this came with grilled lobster)--lobster was dry, had to ask for butter, sweet potato soufflé, sautéed mushrooms. Those sides were quite tasty! The ratio of bone to meat on the tomahawk was not what we were expecting and got very little meat, unfortunately. We ended with a Creme brûlée and that was so-so. I was also surprised that there was no bread service (not even for purchase). The atmosphere -- band, decor, etc is done nicely and does make for a nice outing with cocktails.. just not impressed with the full dinner experience.. especially compared to the other restaurants with same pricing but much better quality food. read more

Plenty of parking near the restaurant. It is located by Suwanee Town Center, where the apartments are. It was fairly busy for Sunday lunch time, luckily we had a reservation. It seems that there is also live music sometimes (there was a piano in the corner of the dining area). The inside was nice and felt upscale, yet still welcoming. Raw oysters: again, disclaimer I am not a huge oyster person but now I feel like I have eaten my fair share lately. It didn't taste as fresh and felt like there was less oyster. Mimosa flight: really like it! Only wished that the waitress had let us pour our own, because we could only sample two juices/mixtures before we ran out of the champagne. Pork chop: it wasn't on the brunch menu, but luckily the kitchen was able to accommodate it. Tasted really good, not fry and well seasoned. Crab cake Benedict: has a strong taste of lime, nice amount of crab meat. Really liked the potatoes, nicely seasoned. Overall enjoyed our experience! Went to this place for a date night. Let's just say, the ambience was great. Servers were excellent. The food was mediocre. The lobster Mac and cheese was a straight joke. The Mac and cheese tasted like it came out of a box. My wife and I pulled out our phones looking for the lobster. For 2 mins, we could not locate any lobster. Informed our waiter that it was just Mac and cheese and there was no lobster in it. He looked and confirmed there was no lobster in it. He took it back to the kitchen, came back with it packed to go. I told him I was not interested in taking Mac a cheese home. He then stated that say were able to find one piece of lobster. Literally, one piece for $24. I felt scammed out of $24. First time to this place on Saturday night... It was outstanding. Sat at a big bar at the table with another couple, they had live music and it was great. Not too loud... We started off with a cucumber mint martini. My new favorite beverage. Has been caught the shrimp cocktail, and it is a big order of massive shrimp. The food was great. The service was HORRIBLE!!! There were so many miscommunications about our reservation for a party of 8, the bill, and the length of time it took for our food to come out. They charge $200 to hold a table for a party of 8 and instead of equally splitting the bills, they took the entire $200 of my card then still split the bills though this was not discussed when speaking to the manager. Unfortunately because of this experience I'm reluctant to go back. It's probably ideal if you have a party if 4 and under but they cannot handle large parties gracefully. read more

Worst experience ever. Love great steak houses, this one had great cooks, great ambiance, all the way until I ordered a cocktail for dessert. A Mud Slide on the rocks. Was served blended, when Irequested it on the rocks. I asked kindly to have them fix it to make it right. Waited a few minutes watching my drink on the bar until I watched the waitress ask the bartender to fix it. He literally poured the same watered-down mixed drink into a glass full of ice. While funny to most, a tab of over $250 for 4 of us and 20% tips while waiting on the band to finish their next set, so I called it out. I asked for manager to make it right, and rather than choose to to do the right thing, he asked me and my party to leave. The bartender should be fired immediately for theft, the manager should be tossed for throwing out a well respected patron of the area who has never had this experience with any local establishment. I am guessing veterans and the Suwanee police department are not worthy of their money or patronage. The band, who we knew, and were there to enjoy, should reconsider doing business with them and if you need another booking, I am sure several other well respected establishments will be more than happy to entertain your customers. read more

My partner and I went to Bottles and Bones to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and it was amazing! We had a reservation and were immediately seated, the hostess was really sweet! We then got greeted by our servers (two people were taking care of us) and they took great care of us! The ambience was nice and there was a live band playing, perfect for date night! Server took our order quickly - but not rushed. Food came out hot and in a good amount of time. Hubby ordered chicken & waffles, which came with butter and syrup. He mentioned it was pretty standard as a dish - nothing new and exciting but good in flavor and texture. I ordered crab cake Benedict, which was served with a side of breakfast potatoes. Crab cakes were not full of filler, which was just what I was hoping for. Hollandaise was as expected, eggs perfectly poached, all on top of a small croissant. The croissant made it different from the standard you'd get somewhere else, which I enjoyed. Potatoes were a little bigger than bite sized, and lacked seasoning despite having a crunchy exterior. Surprised to see salt & pepper on table - both because this is rare in restaurants (with the idea they season already) and with COVID-19. Staff had masks on, but I did notice on my way to the restroom they became chin straps when not by guests. Not all guests had masks on either which also surprised me as they must not be mandatory. Had dinner with another couple and was celebrating a birthday. The appetizer was great, a charcuterie plate, even the pate was outstanding. From that point, it went down hill very quickly. Both my wife and my steaks were ordered medium, but they were brought to us well done. When you are about to pay $90 per entree I feel it's not too much to expect that your steak is cooked to your liking. We returned them back and were given a lobster bisque while waiting. Felt it was a nice gesture however the bisque tasted like a can of Campbell soup to which they added a few pieces of lobster. In other words, it was pretty bad from the texture to the taste with a pool of olive oil floating on the top. After a little while, our steaks came back. They went from well done to rare. I agreed to just deal with it but my wife had to send it back because she simply can't eat a rare piece of meat. Her steak came back within 5 minutes basically charred and un-eatable. We decided to leave it alone and basically didn't eat anything other than a salad. I am not even going to discuss the Brussels sprouts having no seasoning and the baked potato that arrived late because they forgot. Yes her steak was comped but the bill was over $700. The service was ok, the food quality is very good but they simply have people in the kitchen who have no idea what they are doing. The bar area is Vast and we'll decorated. We were seated in a booth in the main dining area and immediately went to town. Ordered the Caesar, New York strip, Brussel sprouts and mash potatoes. Everything was good. My steak was cooked perfectly medium and seasoned well. The service was impeccable. After ordering over $250 worth of food, we waited patiently for our missing entree. Towards the end of our meal, still missing our one entree, we asked for it to be taken off. Jennifer then informed Scott Oakes, the manager, that we were being rude the entire meal and blamed us. It was the best thing I had tonight. The best thing I had was "pretty good." I ordered a Delmonico medium with char and it just came medium with zero char. I'm not a send food back guy, so I just ate it, but it was missing "something," too (beyond the missing char). The mac & cheese we ordered came out lukewarm-to-cold and it was clumpy-hard (not gooey and rich), and the creamed spinach tasted and looked like it was made with frozen chopped spinach. This is an incredibly over-priced steakhouse with great ambiance and underwhelming food. I'm fine with a pricey dinner, but there are other, higher quality and not as expensive options in Gwinnett (Frankie's, Stoney River). If the pricing were more in line with the quality, I'd be able to give it a 3. Given the startlingly wide gap between the price and the quality, I have to go with a 2 and hope that the reviews help ownership and management make some changes, one way or the other (improve the quality to match the pricing or decrease the pricing to match the quality). read more

We went for Happy hour which is on Wed from 4-7pm. Our waitress Jennifer was a gem. They have a live piano player that plays a variety of music and he's is really good. The overall vibe of the restaurants is stellar. They take reservations and also have a nice bar area with table top service as well. It sits right on the corner near a parking area in short walking distance and is not hard to find. This place has become a regular for us and is pretty much our go to for a girls night out. read more

Yesterday Friday was in Suwanee Ga. for work and a coworker recommended the place. Genuinely impressed, such a well managed establishment. Right from the time I entered, great ambiance and a fantastic restaurant. Edwin who is the manager greeted us at the door, I sat at the bar very impressed by their cocktail selections, Edwin had recommended the smoked old fashioned and it was on point. For an appetizer had the Beef carpaccio which was very good but it was the bartender and the manager who surprised me with their personalized service and attention. More people need to understand that dining out should be more than just throwing food on a plate and ice cubes in a glass, this restaurant gets it and I will definitely be back. This was the first Saturday after opening. Had reservations for 6 of us. Menu & 'recommended' drink menus were given. Server came by with an additional complete drink menu. Then back to take drink orders. Then back to take orders. Atmosphere is very nice. Beautiful bar area as well. Employees wear blue gingham and they were attentively keeping our waters filled, wine poured and dishes cleared. Food didn't all come out together. One of us had about a 5-minute wait for the entree and the mushrooms came out even later than that. Appetizers we tried were B & B meatball, baked artichoke & olive dip and charcuterie board for 5. The meatball and artichoke dip were the favorites. Not really enough grilled bread for the artichoke dip, was the downside. Meatballs were room temperature (not sure if that was intentional) but they were fantastic. We had several entrees at the table. I had the 8 oz filet cooked medium. First bite was heavenly, but as I continued to eat it was very undercooked. I ended up bringing the rest home as I wanted to cook it a bit more. Had the roasted Brussel sprouts and sautéed wild mushrooms and both were delicious. Tried sautéed spinach and French fries from others. Spinach was also great. Fries were ok. Desserts ordered: chocolate cake (a little dry), Carrot cake, ice cream and key lime pie. Key lime pie had a lemon layer and although it tasted ok, isn't traditional key lime and the consensus is it was disappointing. There is complimentary valet parking, but parking lot behind the Suwanee town center is close and convenient if there's room.
