Went for happy hour as a first timer and this place is pretty good. They offer free 3hr parking, and a decent HH. For me, the eggplant empanadas were bomb. They only give you one cut in half but I had at least 2 or 3 of them. Jordan the bartender was A1 and made the best drinks that night. Nice and strong. All HH items are $5 but be careful, it can add up quickly. I wasn't impressed with their quesadillas, unfortunately. For starters, the beans are inside of the quesadilla, not on the side with the rice. BLASPHEMY! Also, as you can see in the picture, not much holding it together. I'm not sure what this place is trying to be because it's like a mix between trendy Mexican food and sports bar. It was SO loud inside, I would not have stayed. Botica's redeeming quality is definitely the outdoor seating! Our waiter was friendly and helpful when we mentioned that we needed to leave by a certain time. The food was okay - the appetizers were not well plated for sharing. I got the Chicken Enchiladas with Verde and while the enchiladas were good, I was very disappointed by the rice. It looked like it would've been flavorful, but it was bland and even slightly weird tasting. Further, I feel like the meal should've come with both rice and beans. While I didn't have a bad experience, I'd definitely select my hole-in-the-wall, more authentic Mexican food before coming here. read more

A sports bar feel serving mexican cuisine in the Buckhead Atlanta area. They have a garage attached and will validate up to 3 hours of parking. Their menu items are a bit pricey compared to other great mexican places, and 20% gratuity is added to every bill...no matter the size of the party. I was a bit disappointed by how our large party was handled. The ordering process was chaotic and unorganized, and some orders came out incorrect. Giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was just an off night. Aside for that, I enjoyed my meal. My entree and soft drink came out to be $37, which is a little expensive in my opinion, but they gave a good birthday experience with free dessert & birthday shots!! I ABSOLUTELY loved my experience at Botica. I came here on a Sunday for my birthday celebration. We had 15 ppl at the table and the service was stellar. Jennifer was our server and she was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the mimosas (so delicious, go for the mango/pineapple), and a slew of appetizers and meals. I enjoyed the queso, salsa and guacamole (and I'm picky about my guac). All of our food came out perfectly with no mistakes, the brought out bday shots to celebrate, and bread pudding with a candle. Everyone truly enjoyed their food (I got the omelette and it was yummy). Brisket taco: the brisket was very flavorful and tender but I wished there was a dipping sauce of either cheese or salsa verde to go with it. You also pay $5 just for 1 taco. I had the most incredible brunch experience at Botica yesterday around 3pm! As someone who loves going out to eat, I appreciate a great experience. First off, the environment is very full of life, there is a huge round bar in the middle of the restaurant, a nice sunny patio area, and there's a pop of color everywhere you look! The music is fun and not too loud. There's a lot of Hispanic inspired decor and I love it! As far as food, my partner and I decided to try the chicken and waffles, steak and eggs and a mango mimosa. The mimosa was very delicious, it is such a good reliable drink. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection, I ordered my steak medium and my eggs scrambled, the potatoes were also a hit. The chicken and waffles were good as well! I love the way it was set up on the plate with pineapple and nice organization. As far as service, our server Merma was very attentive. We went during brunch time so we were worried it would be a bit too busy, but she did amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. She was excellent I definitely recommend asking for her. For the entree we split the seafood paella (which isn't on the menu but when we asked our server about it he mentioned it was an available special). The pictures looked amazing but honestly the taste was a bust :'( the moment we got the dish it was super fishy and didn't smell fresh. There's around 2 pieces of each seafood option too which was disappointing. Very fun place for Sunday brunch. We came here to celebrate my birthday with a party of 10 or so. Parking: Botica is in the heart of Lenox area so parking is limited. However you can park in the parking deck that is attached to the building. They do validate parking so take a picture of your plate if you park in the parking deck. Service: is average. Drinks did take some time and the place was averagely packed with patrons. However once we ordered food, it came out at a good time. Food/ Drink: I had the Que Padre, and overall is was good! A few of my colleagues and I decided to meet up for an early dinner and drinks. This was my second time visiting Botica, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant wasn't very busy, which is expected on a Monday at 5:30pm. All the staff, especially our server, was very attentive and nice. We each started off with a few drinks and appetizers. I got the Condesa, which is like a pineapple infused margarita. I also ordered the halibut ceviche with plantain chips. Both were delicious! For my entree, I ordered two tacos: shrimp and carne asada. Once again, both awesome choices. The table shared chips with queso and a small serving of plain nachos. Everything was fresh and came out quickly. In Atlanta, restaurants are judged by food, atmosphere, service, and PARKING! I can say Botica checked the box for all of these. There is a parking garage attached to the building where the restaurant will validate you for 3 hours. If you go a little over that time, it's fine as there's no ticket required to enter or exit the garage. They just need your license plate number. All in all, Botica got 5 stars across the board! Had the pleasure of being introduced to Chef Mimmo at the Gather Round Festival last month. He was one of three chefs doing food demos. He was very charismatic and food looked delicious. I had seen his restaurant before on Instagram. Botica is easy to find off Peachtree. Downtown so parking is always a question. There is a parking lot where you get 3 free hours. There is a machine by the hostess stand to enter your license plate for parking. Do NOT pay in the parking lot. There is a sign saying this as well. We had a reservation and seated immediately. Lunch time so the crowd was light. Loves the decor inside and outside the restaurant. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu. We both got sweet tea to start. Sweet tea was really good. I am a Southern girl and love my sweet tea. My friend got the steak quesadilla that came with Mexican rice and smidgen of sour cream. Waiter brought more upon request. I tried the tacos out. I got the Carne aside which was really good but juicy. Lol. Drain bit more of the juice from it. Meat was super tender. The beef Barbacoa taco was pretty good as well had a little spice to it. I love spice so no complaints from me. Jalapeño corn as my side. Corn was cut off the Cobb w seasoning and cheese. It was pretty good and little Jalapeño to taste. The menu does let you know all tabs include 20% gratuity. Tip already included but you can add more if you like. They off to go cocktails on some of their margaritas. I would try that next time. This is on a side of town where the hospital is and not a lot of restaurants so I'm surprised it was here to be honest but love that it's next to a breakfast joint and hello! They have a patio. First time at this spot. Great service. We didn't have a reservation but walked in for lunch. We were seated immediately and seated outside. The white sangria was great! Our server was awesome. I went here for dinner and drinks on Thursday night. The venue has an interesting setup. When you first walk in, there is a bar area that has a lounge feel because of the lighting. When you keep walking straight, that area looks like a restaurant because the lighting is brighter in that area. There is also outside seating. It took a while for us to be greeted once we sat down, and it wasn't very crowded. I ordered the drink special of the night, the $5 Skinny Rosita. The drink was delicious. I asked if the guacamole was made fresh. He said yes, but they don't add in any tomatoes or onions. I ordered the guacamole, crispy fish taco, lamb birria taco, and jalapeno corn. First, the place is really cute and there's a parking deck conveniently attached to the restaurant so points for that. Our table shared the Ceviche and an order of Nachos with chicken and WOW. The ceviche was nice and limey and did not have a fishy taste. The nachos were really well flavored and perfect to share. For my main course I got a grilled shrimp taco and carne asada taco with a side of jalapeño corn & 10/10, they were all good! And to top it off, the table got bread pudding and the churros for dessert. I would definitely say get the Bread Pudding!!! The ambiance is simple and they have a patio section with large tvs and heat lamps. The food was delicious. I had a beef barbacoa with wagu brisket taco, I could have inhaled 3 of them and they were generous with the meat portion for $5.75 per taco. I also had the grilled chicken BLT that was very flavorful with thick homemade seasoned fries and I finished it with a boozy iced Spanish Coffee. The drink almost tastes like an espresso martini but they throw in a citrus wedge and I will be ordering it again! Overall very satisfied with this meal and location. The staff was friendly. The only reason it's not 5/5 is because it did take a minute to get the food and some options are premade so you can't make alterations but honestly that's just nitpicking. Enjoy! read more

I've been stalking this place on IG for a while and finally decided to beat the crowds and go in for lunch. All I can say is that they didn't disappoint. The tuna cruda and grilled oysters were amazing appetizers and a great start. I had the chicken enchiladas with yellow rice and it was crazy delicious. The chicken was very moist and tasty not dry as I have experienced in other spots. The server was super nice and his recommendations were spot on. I had a good experience with the service & the food. I ordered the fajitas w/ shrimp, steak, & chicken as I did this last meal. There was more meat then & while it included ample veggies, the veggie to meat ratio was significantly higher 9/9. I liked the addition of the grilled squash & zucchini to theirs as I've not had those veggies added to fajita dishes at other restaurants. There were just too many veggies and not enough meat. The food was flavorful and cooked as ordered for my steak. The drinks were good 9/9; bartenders do make a difference however. My daughter and I both ordered the tropical crusher & made it into a margarita. I ordered & received mine maybe 20 minutes before she arrived. I thought I was picking 1 flavor, pineapple for this. Nope, it includes coconut, pineapple, & the pepper listed. Mine wasn't spicy, however. It was balanced & didn't have a kick to it at all. My daughter's was spicy! To the point her throat was scratchy. The server said the tropical crusher is made in batches and was confused about the different spice levels, but did offer to remake it for her. While it may be made in batches, making it into a margarita is where the bartender makes the difference so you may want to advise them of your spice comfort when you're ordering this. I started with the chicken adobo soup. It was flavorful but too salty for me. I had to send it back. My daughter ordered the lamb birria and said it was good. It could use a little more lamb on it. She ordered the churros, which she noted tasted like funnel cake, but not fried. It was good. We saw someone else order the croissant bread pudding and I ordered it since it looked so yummy! It was good; just could've been a tad more moist for me. 9/9 I walked in around 2:40 and was surprised to see half of the bar labeled as reserved. I assumed it was for happy hour. About an hour later the server informs us the bar area is now crowded because Kevin Hart will be guest bartending to promote his new tequila, Carmino. I didn't even know he had a tequila lol. They gave us samples and it's really smooth. We didn't bother making our way to the bar but saw & heard the commotion from the middle dining room lol. The bathroom has been clean the three times I've visited. The bar & restaurant areas are also maintained and are clean. I recommend this restaurant. The food is flavorful and the staff are friendly. ***Tip: they have a kiosk at the host stand to validate your parking for 3 hrs of free parking.
