I stopped in here to buy a little cracked corn for the chickens & ducks at Country Village. I was pleasantly surprised that I could also pick up dog food as well--saved me a trip to the pet store! Their selection of dog and rat food is good, but their customer service is legendary in how bad it is. I don't expect the moon when I shop. Paying without sales staff acting like customers are a distraction? Saying "Hi" back to me? Basic stuff, but the experts at Bothell Feed would rather compare their bad tattoos while you wait. Once they have time for you, check how they do everything possible to avoid eye contact while taking your money. It would be funny once or twice, but not every time I've shopped here. A friend tells me she's experienced the same treatment. We've laughed about it, but seriously, if you're buying food and supplies for your pets, you have lots of choices. It can't be the job, because every Mud Bay clerk I've met is been friendly and helpful. They even say hi to my dog. With 4 pets, I'm spending a fair amount, but not here. read more

I would give this place no starts, but it's not an option. This feed store is WAY overpriced, several of their staff are unfriendly and heaven forbid you go in there within a half hour of them closing because they make it very clear that they want you to get out. They hardly look up from the counter when you walk up and I had one of them tell me Purina Ultium was crap and that she would never feed her horses that after I had told her that it's what I feed. My boyfriend and I just went here to get some shots for my puppy. After looking around at several vets, and deciding it was way to expensive decided to just do it our selves. The staff here was very friendly, helped us with what we needed, and even found us some nose relief all natural medicine as our puppy had a cold. We shop here on a regular basis for bunny food/supplies. Most of the staff is very friendly, helpful, and willing to answer answer any questions. I would say 95% of the time its a really good experience. The other 5% is usually waiting on one of the younger staff members to finish up their personal conversations and decide to ring us up. read more

I have been shopping at Bothell Feed for about 8 years now and I could not be more satisfied. I love the staff at Bothell Feed. They are super knowledgable, friendly and they really get to know my family,two and four legged, feathered and furred. This way they are really able to help me figure out my pet care needs. Every time I shop at BFC they are eager to help and then carry my stuff out to the car. When my daughter was a newborn and asleep in the car, I would just call them and they would put my order together and even bring it out to the car with a credit card slip to sign. This is primarily a pet food store. Friendly staff but the location is awful. This store is located in the Thrashers Corner shopping center are. The problem is that the parking lot is small and narrow due to the pub next door. Avoid this shopping mall if you can. read more

I come here to get my straw for archery targets. The staff has always been friendly from the people behind the counter to the nice young men who load my bales. I do not understand where the bad comments on the CS are coming from because I have ever seen it. As a matter of fact I have called and pleased with the to give me a bit longer to get there because I was stuck in traffic and they store was open 5 minuets after closing to handle my needs. read more

I've been coming to this little shop for over 3 years picking up my dog food for my little Senshi (Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul), they are always very helpful and knowledgeable about all there products. prices are decent, maybe a little higher then the box stores, but service is way better. This is the place to go for me. I have cats, a rescue three-legged dog and a lot of chinchillas that I raise and show. Bothell Feed always lets me pick out my bale of hay. This hay is going to little animals and I want to make sure I can find the best. Everyone is so pleasant. Buddy, the certified therapy chinchilla in the picture has been fed by Bothell Feed for about a thousand years. Well, actually he's only 18, so I may have exaggerated. My rescue dog is a very picky dog. I get samples until I find out what she will eat. After a bag, she gets tired of it and we have to start out all over again. I just want to say that the people that run and on this place are the most knowledgeable and kind hearted people you'll ever meet. I made a somewhat poor review under bottlefeed although it wasn't directed toward the shop it was directed toward the place that they get their rabbits from PNW rabbits. To make a long story short I basically got played out of a bunny out of my money and out of a heartbreak. A cruel woman that was highly judgmental and harsh manipulated me out of giving over A rabbit I had purchased just a month earlier the only way that I could get the rabbit seen for simply not liking the food I was giving her was to agree to give the rabbit back without any refunds and no chance of adopting her back so I did and I posted a review and the owners management reached out with their sincerest apologies and understanding of what I had been through and have been so kind in their attempt to try to ease my pain. So I want it to be very clear that the feed store is a wonderful place with wonderful employees wonderful staff and wonderful management. I love this place! I have lived in my home for 16 years in this area, and they are always the store I go to 1st! They have cared and fed my birds, cats, dog, and guinea pig! Everyone has been there for a long time - turn over is very low, they are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. With some products, they have also have a holistic side of treating something - which is an option I want to know about and have the option. Not to mention they are local and small town business - which I love to support! I highly recommend them. read more

We bought a bale of Timothy hay yesterday and went to break off some for our goats this morning and found it moldy and full of earwigs! Called the feed center and they asked us to bring in some . It was a hassle as we worked all day and got there at closing. They gave us a new bale and no compensation for gas and time wasted plus we have a moldy bale of hay to get rid of!! read more

I've been coming here regularly for the last year to buy scratch for wild ducks that frequent the pond next to our house. The feed store is small in relation to the two big co-ops in Snohomish and Monroe, so the selection isn't as great. I spent some time there last week to seek more information about a gosling I will be getting in two weeks. It will be an indoor pet. The helper was very skeptical this is going to work out well for me, but she was able to answer some of my questions. They don't have waterfowl feed, but they do sell other kinds of feed that are supposed to be adequate for geese too. I don't know how knowledgeable they are since I lack feedstore knowledge myself, but the staff has always been polite and friendly. I agree with the other poster who said you need to speak up if you need something. If you're a shrinking violet, your needs will likely not be addressed on a busy day. read more

We are first time chicken owners and the staff has been extremely helpful and knowledgable every time we've been in to pick up misc. supplies. They let me know exactly what we need, and what we don't need based on how we are raising our chickens (free range). It's nice to get such great customer service, and I will keep going back because I know if I have a question, they can answer it! read more

This place is AWSOME!!!! I Love all the people that work here. They always know just what you need and walk you right to it or if they don't have it they tell you where you can get it. Never have they tried to sell me extra crap that I don't need. I agree with the person who said they are reall people, cause they are so down to earth. But just as reall people if you come in with an off attitude the reactions you get will probably reflect it. These people all go out of their way to make sure that I have a smile on my face by the time I leave if for some reason I did not come in with one! I have 5 children that sometimes come in with me, and my Great dane, all the staff take time to not only talk to me (and my dog) but they make great conversation with my kids. The prices are reasonable and products are great. They ALLWAYS load my car for me. I could go on and on about this place and the great people that work there, they really go above and beyond for everyone every time I have been there. They have on many occasions given me choices of other services in the Seattle area as pertaining to services that are available that meet certain requirements of one's personal situation. They have never spoken negative of other business and have always been available to give resources in the community that newcimers could have a hard time locating. Those of you who wrote a bad review on the Bothell Food Center must have gone in with a bad attitude. We have been going there for years and the staff is absolutely the best. Love the smell of a real feed store. If you think the prices are out of line, go to Fred Meyer or other "non qualified" pet food sellers. I am willing to pay a little more for our dog and for the wild bird food, knowing I am doing them good instead of food filled with garbage. Hey, if you don't like it, that is fine and you have options. Don't try to damage the reputation of a great place because of a poor attitude going in. read more

Great little store with a wonderful selection for your pets!

Although boutique pet food is pricey this place makes up for it with their way awesome customer service. They even offer to carry my dog food to the car for me which is great since I usually buy the 30 pounder! Also, they often have specials on some of the products and occasionally I've gotten really great deals. I totally recommend shopping here. I hope they stay in business forever. read more
