Fresh, homemade boba at Kaka'ako Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings in Honolulu, Hawaii...
I saw intriguing Instagram posts that described how the owners of a new business - BoTea - went to Taiwan to learn how to make boba. After about 3 months of perfecting their product, they set up their pop-up at Jefferson Elementary School.
Recently, they moved to Kaka'ako Farmer's Market... and also Pearlridge Farmer's Market. Both open-air locations are open on Saturday mornings.
One of the Instagram posts showed exactly where BoTea, Honolulu, is located... near the driveway on Ahui Street! It's an end stall!
Richard is the friendly, knowledgeable owner who answered all questions competently! His confidence in his boba is justified!
The boba is chewy-soft and flavorful!
It's NOT starchy and sticky like other bobas!
Try it!
I got the healthy green tea with Oatmilk. It came with a free topping: caramelized cream cheese foam cap. The crunchy sugar granuals are sprinkled on the top for a visually fun, added texture!
As a bonus, I was given a free, cute sticker and got a chance to pick a fortune!
Select a stick from the can and match the number to a drawer. Pull the drawer open and receive a good message!
Go to BoTea and have a happy day! read more
