I went to botanical nails and spa for a nail filler. I asked if they had time and the man who attends said me yes, to just wait a few minutes, at the table where they were going to serve me. Another client walked in, I can only imagine she was most preferred and they took me off that table and told me to wait on the chair. I waited more than 45 minutes while 4 more customers walked in to do pedicures and got seated right away. Finally, another nail technician finished her task and went to another client, her co-worker told her to help me first and she replied NO! I don't speak Mandarin but body language is very easy to understand. I understand that they didn't want me to be a customer there, I got up and left, I had my 2 daughters waiting in the car! I was really happy with how my manicure looked initially, but unfortunately, I developed ingrown, infected nails afterward. This is something I've never experienced before, so it was pretty disappointing. While the aesthetic result was nice, the pain and discomfort afterward weren't worth it. I hope the salon takes steps to prevent this from happening to others. Also the guy doing my nails kept getting up every minute to either answer the phone or take more clients in of they can pay someone to do he should just stick to doing that. read more

I called ahead to see if they take walk ins, they do. I get there in less than five minutes and they take me pretty quickly. The 2 stars is because the pedicure was pretty nice. I reminded them 3 times I wanted gel nails and toes. Pedicure first. Then they seemed irritated I wanted a manicure. She took me to the table and started My nails are short but she kept using her own nails to clear the polish mess and when she would grip my finger her nails were digging in. I wish I could give this place a negative score. I had an appointment for 5:30 for two pedicures and manicures and arrived 15 minutes early. Called from the parking lot too make sure that I wouldn't just be sitting in this place due to COVID-19 and was told to give them 20 minutes. 45 minutes went by and not a call saying to come in for services but a few people did go into the nail shop and were turned around due to no appointment I'm assuming. Finally 54 minutes later two individuals walk out so, I'm assuming it's our turn to be in the chair. We walk in and not greeted for the first 10 minutes standing there at the front door on the rug awakes and the three workers including the male owner never looked up. All three staff personal were with other clients but we had an appointment and that's no excuse not to acknowledge paying clients. How rude right!! This is why we had stopped coming here in the beginning because it's always overbooked or let's say slow as hell which I don't mind but rudeness was an entirely different t conversation . Let me also include that I'm posting Yelp comment while sitting in a chair that Ive been in for over 2 hours now! I have not gotten a manicure and the second pedicure is just now getting started. We're not going to even add that a lady that came to the door while we were sitting in the parking lot without an appointment is now getting a pedicure and manicure from one of the staff that was previously doing another customers nails but finished her and now working on this lady that had no appointment. This staff member clearly should've come over to me and my guest and gave me my manicure before starting on a new client without an appointment. Right??? So now I'm sitting here with cold feet while the owner is now finish up with his client, watching him sweep the floor and chat with the older lady that has asked both of the so-called helpers to complete and start my manicure but of course that would be too professional so the older lady is upset that she now has to complete both manicures, bless her heart without any help at all. Doing this time with businesses closing down and with his business previously being shutdown two times and the. They could only work on the sidewalk you would think they would provide a service of a C and not a F-! So now I'm waiting for my guest to get a pedicure because both manicures at this point is completely out the door since I'm pissed right now and the place closes at 6 and it's now 7:45 but the other lady without a appointment is just as happy as can be receiving the services that she is paying for! My guest water is now freezing cold, toes wrinkled and the nail shop is cold now but the owner continues to never acknowledge that we have not received the services that we came i for or says hello not onetime. The older lady comes over to put the final clear coating on my polish which I really didn't care if it was on or off at this point and I walk over to the so-called floor heater for drying. The air was cold the surrounding floor was filthy and counter and I was now over the bad service from this hell hole. My guest was in disbelief and I was so embarrassed to have even driven here for this amateur service. My friend is texting me saying that this is the worst service that this is the worst service that he's ever experienced in life but the lady that had no help with completing both of our manicures did a great job under al of the pressure that she was under! My final thoughts lead me to believe that the other younger lady and owner felt as if they didn't want to help or provide services to my guest and i because we were black. What they didn't know is that my black earned money tips pretty damn good for great services. I had heard this rumor before and I should've listened back then. I can spend my money somewhere else and not feel disrespectful or unwanted. 3 hours later and no manicures I still tipped the lady $20.00 and told her thanks but I didn't tip my regular $40.00. Total for two pedicures $75.00 but this YELP is priceless but checkmate for the owner of the shop. I own 8 businesses and I know that Yelp and bad reviews can cost you thousands of customers.. Learn how too appreciate each and every customer that walks in your door for services that they pay for. read more

I called to book an appointment for a pedicure for 11:15 am. I specifically asked if I would be seen at that time and the girl who answered the phone said yes not to worry there is many of us. As she wouldn't give me a name of who would do my pedicure. I arrived on time to my appointment yet I had to wait 20 minutes before I was brought to the pedicure chair just to have to wait there even longer... after 15 more minutes one of the girls comes to tell me I will continue to wait because her next appointment has arrived. I used to come years ago and the service was good but I came in yesterday and end up with the little lesbian lady (only because she didn't introduce herself ) so this is by description only ..... It took 2 hrs for a set and mani , I had glue all over my hands , my acrylic is lumpy and my thumb nail broke the next day , I will not be going back ....very disappointed not to mention they are pricey, the service sucks and they are not friendly at all read more

I have been coming to Botanical for years, since I was a child and have always enjoyed the pampering I have received from the owner and his workers. The only issues I have had was at their other location ran by his wife, right beside Walmart in which my gel caused yellow toe nails that I had to cure. So it was for sure that I never went back there. I only stick to Botanical and have never had an issue until today. I came in for a gel color change for my pedicure along with manicure and was charged $20 more for something that I didn't even ask for both services. Something that would have been $70 was now $90. It was automatically placed on my skin (sugar scrub) and I genuinely assumed that it was a part of my pedi service since I have had this procedure done on me weeks before. I also came in for a manicure and although relaxing, I was immediately puzzled by the lack of cleanliness when it comes to liquid acetone. The acetone that was left over of my gel removal was not flushed down the sink but rather placed back inside of the bottle which happened to be displayed right in front of my chair. I saw when my nail lady inserted it back inside. So that means that everyone is getting the same dirty acetone for their nails which can bring by infections or worse. It was just a sloppy mess today and I am heavily disgusted. Time to look for a replacement salon that fits my budget. read more

Super disappointed so I'm going to rant a bit. Came in for a simple gel manicure and pedicure. The nail tech completely filed down my natural nails even though I asked for them to keep the length. Now my finger nails are all stubby. They didn't listen to my request at all. On top of that the shop is just incredibly disorganized and unsanitary looking; supplies stacked up near the sinks, dirty work stations, pedicure tools on the floor during the pedi. This shop has very limited color options as well. Also as I was sitting getting my pedicure the nail techs yelled across the shop constantly. This place is far from a "Botanical Spa". I've come here pretty often over the last few years and I'm not sure why I do because I always have a similar disappointing experience. I'm guessing since we don't have many options in Patterson, this shops feels as though they can run any kind of way and still get customers. We deserve a better experience when we're paying for a service. This is definitely my last time coming here. If you're desperate for a fill, call ahead and make sure Nam is there. My normal salon was not available but I needed my fill done ASAP. I was scared to try this salon because of the poor ratings but gave it a shot. My nails turned out pretty good so my 2 star rating is not because of that. I gave a 2 star rating because the seats to sit in while waiting were filthy and I felt like the whole place needed a good cleaning. There was no music or talking so the place was completely quiet leaving us customers scared to say anything. I've been here twice now and I've only gone color change to my toes both times. The salon is pretty dated and if your looking for a variety of colors , look elsewhere. They have dated colors and not many to choose from. However, when I went in on weekdays, they always took me promptly. They could work on customer service, adapt to welcoming customers and greeting . The ladies that did our pedicures did a great job! & although they didn't speak much they were very nice. The reason I'm giving only 3 stars is because although we enjoyed our pedicure & our toes look great, the man that works there who we think is the owner was very rude & seemed angry and wasn't very welcoming. & the way he yelled at my mother in law while she was trying to get down from the chair was rude, so we can't imagine how he speaks to his employees. After reading all the reviews I decided to give this salon a chance because I could not wait and it's one of the only options on a Sunday. My nails were absolutely trashed from a bad gel mani from another salon that only lasted a week and were poorly removed by a drill (not soaked off!) at said salon. DO NOT GET SERVICED HERE. I went in for a simple manicure pedicure and first off they had the water boiling for my foot soak and let me put my feet in. I got burnt but I let it go because I'm human, I understand we make accidents. But the lady was very rough and again I let it be. 5 days later I am extremely in pain with a bacterial infection. My Dr at UCSF concluded it is infected. I called for a refund and they're giving me the run around saying I need to go in person and PROVE it's infected. I live in SF. They don't deserve business. This is such a horrible place to get your nails done. Came in for a refill since I have a concert to go to and one of my nails was broken. The lady reshaped it with the acrylic powder instead of removing it, it looked good as she did but once it was done with polish on it looked horrible. She also cut my cuticles causing me to bleed. There are Hair articles in my nail polish and it looks like a mountain due to the amount of polish put on. Very unsanitary nail place. I used to do nails and I could do better than that. Waited over an hour and 15 minutes only to have the guy tell me he would have to take off my current nail set because the glitter wouldn't adhere. Guys I get my nails done every 3 weeks. I went in for a pedicure and a shellac manicure and workers were very loud and rude. The lady who did my manicure, painted my nails mediocre and missed many spots. I asked for squared nails and they were not straightly filed. I told the lady I was not satisfied with the outcome of my nails and she went off to talk to the other employees about me. I left the salon with a horrible manicure and had to go back two days later to have her fix my nails and had to argue for a refund which I never got due to my foot getting infected from the tools they used in my pedicure . My foot is bright red and I can barely walk on it and all they offered me was medicine. I was told many women come in with the same issue of a infected foot and that it is okay. I've heard so many stories of people developing some kind of infection after having services at this place that I'm surprised they're still in business. The staff is rude, they treat you like a number, not a paying customer so don't expect much from them. Want to get your nails removed? Forget it. You're better off buying 100% acetone at a beauty supply, soaking them for a while, & allowing the product to dissolve because these people will literally rip them off then drill off the rest of the product. Terrible! It's literally the worst pedicure I've ever had. Nail polish must have been diluted because I could see my nail in spots that the Polish didn't cover well. Person I got kept getting up to talk to other people so pedicure took forever which would be nice normally if they were actually tending to you but I was left sitting there. My nails felt sharp on the edges from where she/he clipped them after I asked not to. I don't recommend this place. Save your money. read more

I've learned which ladies do the best job & always choose them whenever possible. For $25, I am almost always guaranteed a nice hour long, relaxing pedi.
