The woman helping us was very friendly and helpful. We walked from the President hotel and did two loads of laundry (brought our own detergent) for 8 pounds. Drying was 5 pounds. We were charged 2.50 for using a credit card and the attendant put the coins in the machine for us. The place is very clean, especially for the amount of traffic. There is a park nearby with a coffee/tea stand while you wait. The attendant is very aware of machines and who uses what. The laundry was safe when we stepped away. I highly recommend this place for your laundry day. read more

Class. 1.50 per soap. 8 to wash's 1 for like 300 sec (moves quick though...) I walked out with a small load for under 15 so I can't complain and it took less than an hour of my day. Significantly better than a hotel or to have them do it for you (unless you don't have the time as it's likely greater than 50 GBP) To top it off, I had a nice coffee in the nearby park. The owners are helpful and nice. Strong move for the leary traveler. read more

I'm so glad I found Boswell Laundrette after a couple of days of searching for a trustworthy place to do laundry near Strand. Dry cleaning in this area can be really expensive, and after trying Yelp, Google, Apple maps, and even asking hotel staff, this spot was the winner. The lady working there was super helpful and made the whole process easy. One big reason I chose this laundrette over others was the payment options -- no confusing cash exchange here. They accept both cash (euro) and card, and I was able to just tap to pay for the wash and detergent, which made it super convenient. I brought in a small suitcase of clothes and was in and out in about an hour. I'll definitely be back whenever I need laundry done in London! read more

We took a bus from Trafalgar Square to Boswell Laundry (12 mins). They were incredibly helpful making change for the machines and showing us which ones to use. We were in and out in just about an hour with clean clothes for a fraction of the price of the hotel. Great place to do your laundry read more

I had to go to Boswell Laundrette in a pinch after a different company completely negated my wash requests. I cannot say enough good things about the owners. They did as I asked, folded, and packaged all of my clothes. "Thank you" is not enough for what they did for me. read more

This is a wonderful laundrette which we used for washing and drying our own laundry. It's very economical, and the owners were very helpful in guiding us as to what to do (size machine, cost, etc.). They were also super nice. We highly recommend them! read more

My family recently spent a few weeks on vacation in the UK and by the time we got to London we needed to do a round of laundry for the rest of the trip. We stayed near the West End and took a short Uber / cab ride to Boswell Laundrette located at 23 Boswell St, London WC1N 3BW, United Kingdom. It was close to the Holcomb train station. I was greeted by staff members who were friendly and helpful, and assured us they would have the laundry delivered to our hotel the next day. 35 Pound minimum for free delivery (pound as in money, not 35 pounds of laundry) The facilities at Boswell Laundrette appeared to be well-maintained and in good working condition, and we found the the pricing to be reasonable. It was clear that Boswell Laundrette strives to provide value for money while maintaining high standards of service. The staff was transparent about the costs, ensuring there were no surprises at the end of the process. In terms of turnaround time, Boswell Laundrette excelled. I appreciated their attention to detail, ensuring that my clothes were handled with care and returned in excellent condition. Lastly, I must mention the customer service at Boswell Laundrette. The staff was attentive and professional, going above and beyond to meet my needs. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident, and it left a positive impression on me. In conclusion, my experience at Boswell Laundrette in London was highly positive. With its convenient location, well-maintained facilities, reasonable pricing, and excellent customer service, I would not hesitate to recommend this laundrette to others in need of reliable laundry services. After traveling Europe for a week in the summer, we realized we'd need to do laundry and this was our first stop in London! The staff was very helpful in getting us coins to operate the machine and even offering soap (which we had). The dryer probably needed two cycles instead of just one because some clothes were still a little damp. read more

If you happen to be in need of clean clothes in the middle of your vacation in London, and find out your hotel is charging you an enormous amount, then go to this very nice launderette. They are extremely kind and helpful. And it is handicap accessible. And that is very useful to know! read more

The laundry soap has a horrible scent. I am not sure how I will get it out of my clothes. It is awful.

Nice laundromat with friendly and helpful staff. They provided laundry detergent for the wash, too. The hours suggest they are open until 8pm, but I was told they closed at 6pm when I arrived at 5:45pm. They still let me wash and dry my laundry and stayed open late to accommodate me. read more

We are completely pleased with the Boswell Laundrette. We've used them twice while traveling and staying near Holborn. They do wash and fold same-day with no problem, high quality, reliably, and about a third of the hotel price. There's a nice clean s of serve laundromat there for further savings. Here's a photo of how ours turned out, right on time. read more

Boswell Laundrette - Our laundry was beautifully cleaned, folded, sorted and packaged. - Laundromat Near Me - London, XGL

The advertised price for the service wash is £17.50 per bag up to 4kg. I gave them a bag that was definitely under 4kg but was charged £24.50. I thought perhaps they had updated their prices so paid. But when I checked online it was still £17.50. On collection I asked about the price and the man said he used a medium not small machine for my wash and that it was based on him eyeballing the size of the load and not by weight. I felt this was not very honest and if this was the case I would have been better off using another laundry service that offered a pick up and drop off for £25 for a heavier load of up to 6kg (their minimum charge for this delivery service is £30). Included in the wash was a brand new black shirt and when I got home and lined it up against my other black shirts, the one that they washed was a shade lighter than even my own older ones. So do note that their commercial detergent might be a lot harsher. Also when I went they only took cash. Not recommended. read more

I was traveling throughout Europe for about a month in June 2019. While in London, I took my laundry to Boswell Laundrette for wash and fold service. I specifically asked that they wash the colors/jeans separately in cold water. Apparently, they did not because my white socks were light blue. I did not notice until I had already left London for Paris. In the last couple days in London, I used up the remaining clean clothes I had before opening the bags of laundry from Boswell. They must have known my white socks were light blue, but they did not say a word when I picked up my clothing. read more
