They also ran 240V into the garage for a possible EV charger. None of this was simple -- It required trenching between the house and the garage, and since our house is eighty years old, they had to do a lot of fiddling around old electric and telephone wires. My wife bought an all-electric vehicle two weeks ago and Paul advised me on which charger to buy, installed it two days ago and we love it! Along the way, Paul and his crew helped me understand the interplay between the street power, our solar production, and our generator. We decided not to have the 240V charger line backed up by the generator as the new 7kW demand could overload it. I really like working with Paul and his crew. This February I lost power but the generator ran for a few minutes and then shut down. They came out ( and I paid for the service since they said the generator needed yearly maintenance) and said it was a battery monitor that prevented it running. Also now 'monitoring it and said they fixed the WiFi. Two months later we lost our power again. Generator ran for a few minutes and then stopped. Wifi didn't function. Young electrical said they would come but started quoting fees. If I have to pay again, I think I'll hire a competent company!
