It's been eleven years, and I work nearby now, so I decided to bring a roll of e-100 over to them for processing only. The last time I was in there was 2015, according to the records there. They rang me up for processing and said "That'll be $17" Odd...I couldnt recall what my usual place offers, Lumentation, so I gave them a call. They charge $7. When I politely said to the older woman working there, "Not trying to be a jerk, just wanna let you know Lumentation charges $7. Why do you charge $17". She scoffs. "Well, I send it out to someone who does it for REAL." Super helpful, sis. I was pleased with Lumentation's results the last time I went, so I will just take the hike over there again. You guys can delete my account from your system...it's been 11 years since I gave you my business, and I don't plan on ending that streak.

Prints can be very expensive, however, especially if you're looking for a nonstandard set of dimensions. They've got such nice staff, and it was nice to read all the potential prices and extras that are made crystal clear on the chalkboard/wall behind the registers. The best part? It's extremely affordable! Not to mention the high quality scans and they were right on the money when they told me it would take 9-11 days (I'll take it). The camera store closer to me would take 4 weeks!! I have only gotten disposable camera film developed, but they have a wide range of film developing capabilities (as well as film options if you're looking to buy). The customer service is wonderful--they're so knowledgeable and very kind. They have helped me pick the best option for my needs, and the prices are reasonable! I will say that turnaround is looking more like ~2 weeks instead of the four days quoted by another reviewer. I can only assume that people are starting to take notice of Lumentation and that demand has skyrocketed. It took me 13 days to get my last two rolls of film developed and printed. I find that that's fairly reasonable, and I'm willing to accept a slightly longer turnaround for good service and prices. It's great that they send you a Google Drive link to developed pictures and that they keep your negatives (cut or uncut). Worth the trek into Somerville!

Moreover, they completed 3 unique projects: framing my grandfather's newspaper obituary, framing an array of heavy medallions from my grandfather's trophies and building a custom mirror for my living room. It was moving when my grandmother asked to meet Brian to personally thank him for their fine work in creating memories of her husband. To date, the old newspaper articles have held up well because of the UV glass and acid-free backings the team suggested. I have referred others to this business, most recently one purchased a framed Bruins newspaper article, and they too were very pleased with their overall experience.

It was wrinkled, uneven, and did not look presentable. The two signed large prints looked fine. We brought the jersey back to BFW, and were met with much hostility and rudeness. The gentleman rudely said to someone accompanying me, "Oh, are you a framer?", when they mentioned something about previously framed jerseys in the home .We presented him again the photos from before and that this wasn't what we paid for, and asked for it to be redone. He reluctantly agreed, but I should have asked for my money back as well. I recommend that you take your business elsewhere.

The biggest thing I would note here is that they have office hours (9-5, M-F); this is not a retail establishment. You'd likely need to get your item shipped to you which I'm not a fan of because you don't get to see it before you pay for it.

It seemed that none of them offer printer repair. Reluctant to just give up and buy a new one, I called Collins in Arlington. I couldn't be happier! My machine just needed a diagnosis and a new part. The newly repaired machine is producing sharp, clear copies. They also cleaned it--it looks like new. A very gratifying experience.

It took more than four weeks and it cost almost $300…read more One of the artworks had the wire on the back incorrectly installed and after five days of hanging on the wall, the frame fell down and was irreparably damaged. I sent an email to The Picture Store with images of what had happened and asked for a refund for the one artwork that was done incorrectly. I left a message a week later and now, after almost two weeks, I still have not heard back. Go someplace where the customers are treated respectfully after the work is finished.
