Memory Shop is a little a gem along Newbury Street! There are multiple innings covered by drapes, each with their own distinct colorful background so people have a ton of choices to take photo booth style pics. The staff is friendly and great at giving a run down of how everything works. The booths I chose were around $8.48 - I recall taking around 8 pics and having 90 seconds to choose which 4 pics I wanted printed on my final printed photo strip. Before you start taking pictures, you can choose the layout of your photo strip and if you want the pics printed on regular or film style paper. It's also worth noting that you can also grab and use any and as many props as you want. The props range from goofy shades, Pokémon hats, plushies shaped like bread or shrimp, etc. You'll also find a basket in every booth to place your props in them to clean up after yourselves once you're done taking pictures. While these types of businesses are geared towards couples or groups of friends, I had a lovely time going solo and getting about ~3 photo strips as a little birthday treat. My only regret is that I didn't opt to save the digital copies by inputting my email or using their QR codes. 10/10 wold recommend this place if you're doing a ton of walking and/or shopping on Newbury Street and need a light-lift photo opp as a break. This store has multiple photo booths and they provide you with lots of props to take photos! They have lots of options for the photo frame, photo dimensions, and layout. They also have a few creative photo booth rooms like the elevator room or the prison cell. It works just like a regular photo booth! They also have a station to decorate your photos after with markers or stickers. They ran out of a lot of stickers when we went so we didn't decorate ours. But I loved these photo booths because they had lots of filter options, frame options, beauty filter!!, and they allow you to edit or move your photos around before you print them. An innovative way to get a personalized keepsake while in Boston! This is a store where you get to step into a photo booth room and take photos with your friends or family! When you enter, you're greeted by the friendly staff however there weren't any clear instructions so it was a little chaotic. You first choose props to wear, if you want them, but everyone wears them so it seemed unsanitary. Then you choose a room, there's about 5 or 6 rooms with different color wall backgrounds. There's also one towards the back of the place with a higher angled camera near the elevator, this one seemed very popular. Once you enter the private room you begin the photo booth. You choose what layout style you want your photos, the basic and most popular package is 4 photos and two strips which costs $8. When you take your photos, it is timed, so it's a little rushed. Once you finish, you choose the border for your strips. At the end, your photos are printed and a QR code comes up with access to both a live and still digital copy. Few things to note that I wish I knew beforehand. Each room offers different borders. There are some Boston frames but only for the pink and blue rooms. Second, the rooms are tiny, so fitting 4 people was a challenge. Try to get all four faces as close to the camera as possible, because if not, your friends in the back will be out of focus. It only opened in September so it's obvious it's still a work in progress through the disorganization. The card readers are finicky and there's no real organization. It's very busy on weekends so be prepared to wait if you want a specific background. I'm hoping with time these minor things get sorted out. A cool thing they offer is a station where you can get a plastic sleeve for your photos and decorate your prints with stickers. This is free of charge! Despite it all, I would definitely come back here as I love this concept and it's a great way to capture your memories. read more

Memory Shop is a cute & fun spot if you're on Newbury with friends! The store is nicely decorated and has over five (?) different photobooths to choose from. My friends and I picked the regular pink booth. They also have a wide selection of fun props like headbands, giant hats, and old school phones to use in your pictures. It's $8 for two prints. The worker there was helpful since our photo got stuck in the machine, but she reprinted it for us without any issue. There's also a little station where you can add stickers and a protective sleeve to your photos. Overall, I definitely recommend checking it out with your friends when you're in the area! read more

This is such a cute spot for photo booth pictures on Newbury St! They have a lot of different booths, frames, styles, and backgrounds to choose from! My friend and I had a lot of fun doing a photo booth together, and we will definitely keep the strips forever. The only thing is is that the price is a bit misleading. They advertise $4 per strip, but we wanted to each get a strip so we selected 2 (to keep 1 each) and it cost us $10 each, but the machine printed 4 strips (to keep 2 each). Additionally, we took 8 photos but were only allowed to choose 4 for the strip. It would make more sense to print 2 of each, not 2 of the same for the price. read more

It was a really fun experience. They have a bunch of hats and glasses to try on. There are so many different booths. 5 regular ones, 2-3 scene booths, and a top down booth. You get 8 shots, and 5 seconds between each shot. You pick 4 out of 8 and you also get to download them on your phone. Everything is timed. One order is 2 prints. $8 = 2 prints. At the end, you get to decorate them with stickers, markers, and scissors. Enjoyed this a lot! I think 5 seconds is too fast if you want to change costumes. This is a Photo Booth shop. The staff is nice and welcoming. There are lots of cute props (headbands, hats, stuffed animals, glasses etc) available for you. Note that props are shared across all customers...so not sure how often these are cleaned/sanitized - if at all. Each booth is in a private room, with a specific color and theme. I believe there was a pink room, blue room, white room, cream room and then an elevator-themed room. It's a fun place to take pictures with family and friends. There are various photo packages. Cheapest is 2 columns of 4 photos each and that costs $8. That comes to $1 per photo. You're given the option to take several poses but it will make you choose a couple for the final print out. This is a great activity to do with friends, families or on a date! Its 8 dollars to get 2 strip. Theres a bunch of props and head accessories available to use. My biggest feedback is that as someone who is only 5'2 the camera angle very high for me. You basically just catch my head and thats it lol. There are some stools available, but it would be nice to have like a booth or two catered to people who are shorter.
