Rent for something comparable in New york would be 6-8k a month easy.

I've tried various other companies, and Proforma has been, by far, the best out of all of them. They are definitely the go to design/building/contracting company in Boston.

Our project was not a major renovation, but we were never treated like the job was "too small." We had some flooring re-done in our basement, some custom shelving and a closet installed, and some minor touch up repairs done on the exterior of our house. From the day Eric was scheduled to come out for the estimate, we knew these guys were different. Not only did Eric show up on time for the estimate (when does THAT happen?), but he called about 5 minutes beforehand concerned that he might be late. We felt that after the meeting, the quote and pricing he offered were fair and put down a deposit. We never felt pressured to proceed, and we were provided all information we requested: evidence of proper licensing, insurance, a fully complete legal contract, etc. When the job began, the workers were as punctual as Eric was on day one, and were courteous. We also found the crew to be careful and detailed to do the job right. We never felt uncomfortable with them working in our home, and they were flexible on timing and agreed to some minor tweaks and changes to the project as the need arose. Thanks for doing a nice job!

Wayne came out, quoted me a price and let me know when he could work me into his schedule. He arrived when he said he would, cleaned up, and the work was completed with skill and attention to detail. He is pretty with it, but could not do mourning over zoom. We thought of using a tent in the backyard. One quick google search led me to Jim Mariano's "backyard tent rentals" business. From the minute I called him, when I was so recently bereaved, he was as helpful and caring as family. He guessed our request was for sitting shiva and offered chairs and table and tablecloth, and by the very next morning he had set up a 20x20 tent in my father's backyard, and even returned with a gift for him. I'll always be grateful to Jim for helping us out to sit shiva for my mother during these trying days of COVID-19, it has been an absolute blessing for our family, and I'm so glad we found his business and called him to rent that tent.

We went in with an idea of what we wanted and John guided us with suggestions. That said, he is very difficult. This last time we were tossed between 2 different frames. We chose one, gave a 50% deposit. When we arrived home and considered the space it was to be hung, we decided to go with the other choice. We immediately called John (we left his store only 30 minutes prior) to tell him we are changing to the other frame. He was nasty, said we were "grinding him" (not sure what that means since we were asking only for his opinions) and said he's too busy to deal with this and to come get our piece. We attempted to calm him down and in spite of his unprofessional demeanor told him we'd be in to look at the other frame. Upon further consideration I decided I did not want to work with someone so unprofessional. When I arrived I asked him what went wrong and he lost it again. Crazy! He the gave me our piece wrapped in paper, not in the tube he was given and when I asked him to put it in the tube for protection, he said "I already rolled it." We were completely horrified, disgusted and disappointed that it took almost one year for us to receive our product. This took us completely by surprise because our engagement session went well and had received our photos in a timely manner. I would never recommend nor would we utilize their services again. Punctuality, Organization, and Customer service is not a top priority for Scky Art studios. 07/15/2016-In light of the owners response below..... it is evident that this business does not take any accountability for their actions. I was extremely generous in my previous review and was trying to refrain from exposing various facts. Let me add, that our contract was 4,300.00 and was signed on November of 2014 for our wedding on August 2015. By the time that we were at our last two payments of our contract AFTER the photos had already been taken, I was informed that there was "mistake" on the contract . That when the contract was finalized the taxes had been "miscalculated" (1 year later) which was over 700.00. At that point we felt forced to either pay the taxes or downgrade our package.Since it was AFTER the wedding and our budget had already met. We felt we had no choice but to downgrade All of the upgrades( for example: a bigger album and 2 parent albums) that we had paid for in advance (700.00) to keep our payments as negotiated; to make up the money for "taxes " as the owner would not budge on THEIR MISTAKE. My husband and I were completely understanding with certain situations that the owner was dealing with. For Example: she had been out for some time due to unforeseen circumstances (which put us back two months) , a complete turn over of essential staff and not to mention we have over 70 emails in regards to edits that were not "received" and or other issues addressed to SckyArt. This vendor was the ONLY one that we had issues with in providing us with our final product. Even AFTER we had agreed that we would forfeit all upgrades to make right a mistake that was made by the company ; My husband and I had to physically go down to the studio to get our photos. Evidently, We are writing this review to notify any bride or customer that SkyArt exhibits unfavorable business practices. Bottom line: 1. This company DID receive full payment by us 2. We received our pictures extremely LATE (May/ 2016) 3. This company had no regard for us as customers following the wedding and receiving our payment 4. This company changed our contract through no fault of our own For any couple or company that is considering this company for any wedding, or high scale prestigious event; Please ensure that you establish suspense dates on when you will have your previews; dates on when to expect completed edits; and dates on when you will receive the final products. So if they only deliver high res photos of clients who pay in full? how can that be accomplished when the contract is changed? Question is what is SckyArts liability on honoring their contract?
