The store had a plethora of new cameras to choose from. We used the old lens and strap so I did not have to buy a new one. As far as I could tell, the camera was reasonably priced. If I ever had a problem with my camera, I would return.

More recently, I needed their creative skills to design and print two plates, one a poster size photograph and a second plate with an accompanying poem on an intentionally clouded portion of the same photograph which are now on display in my office building. A special shoutout to Angela for her patience and design skills on this project. Now matter the frame or printing need I have, I take it to Kurt and his team at Frame it Waban. Without a doubt, Nancy captured the essence of our wedding day! She first came to our family home…read moreto shoot photos of me and my bridesmaids getting ready and then booked it to the church (an hour away) to get some candid shots of the groom and groomsmen before the ceremony. After the ceremony, we met up at a beautiful lookout point (at Nancy's great suggestion!) to do family and bridal party photos before heading to the beach and dock near our reception for more photos. She also photographed throughout our ceremony and reception. I mention all these different settings because in each one Nancy knew exactly how to go with the flow while still executing a well-thought out plan based on our phone conversations leading up to the Big Day. (We live in DC and had our wedding on Cape Cod so meeting in person was not possible due to distance, although Nancy offered!). Small things - now reviewing the photos - made all the difference: where to place bouquets (at the belly button!) and reminding us gently of good posture really brought our final photos to a whole new level of quality! Most importantly - and a huge reason I am recommending Nancy to future brides - I like to consider myself a low-maintenance bride and Nancy really respected this throughout the course of the day. I can honestly say that I did not see her during the ceremony - though she captured GREAT shots - and I hardly saw her during the reception. This was important to me as I have attended weddings that made me feel like I was being hounded by the paparazzi - and I was only a guest! Nancy maintained a respectful distance so the events of the day could unfold while still being in tune with all the special moments that make for great photography. Finally, Nancy puts all her energy and attention into making a bride and groom feel special. On Valentine's Day, she sent a treat to celebrate our upcoming nuptials and on the wedding day, she kindly showed us how to best cut the cake together to avoid a mess and ALWAYS remained focused on making sure my dress was not getting torn or dirty by our surroundings - think beach, sand. These small touches really made for a great day! Thank you, Nancy! If anyone should want to chat over phone or email, just get in touch with Nancy and she can pass along my contact information! Yay for great wedding photos from Nancy! :) Caroline

The prices at ASF are not only competitive, they are beyond reasonable, if not inexpensive, for 5 star frames. On the rare occasion I require rapid turnaround, ASF is accommodating. I can't believe this place doesn't have a review!…read more I've been to probably a dozen custom framing shops in my life - A Street is far and away as good as it gets. This is a review of the one in Cambridge, I think they have other locations, but I've never been to any of those. Here's the deal... Service - the two ladies that work at A Street are probably the sweetest most amazing people I've ever interacted with in a retail setting. They don't rush anyone, they help you make good framing decisions, and they genuinely love art and framing and making customers happy. I've been there three times in total, and these ladies know my name, they remember who I am, etc. Prices - custom framing is expensive. I don't exactly know how these guys "stack up" because it's a very difficult service to comparison shop. My guess is these guys are a little more expensive than your average framing shop. I felt VERY well treated with regard to price. Quality - A Street is a very rare bird. They actually make many of their frames in house.... so they are actually a TRUE custom framer. This means that they actually modify and create frames from scratch all the time. I just brought in a painting that was an odd size, and they are going to mill out the rabbit so that it fits perfectly into the back of the frame! Go ask a regular "custom" framing shop to do something like that and they will look at you like you have three heads. These guys suggested it to me! The frames they stock are top notch, many are made in-house. A Street supplies to other framers as well... so they havea manufacturing arm. Timeliness - Sooo if you are in a huge rush, I'm not sure this is the place for you. I wouldn't know since I've never actually asked them to rush anything. I generally am cool with waiting several weeks or longer. Long story short, in my opinion, this is a place that values quality and execution over price and speed. The people are exceptional, the work quality is amazing (I think I am having my tenth thing framed with them), and you will be extremely pleased. I would run, not walk, here.
