The owner was very patient and knowledgable about exactly what was needed. He even provided an additional set in case we had any issues and said to come back if necessary. I got my 3-month-old daughter's passport photo done here. Pro: Quick in and out. Con: I went to a real photography studio thinking I'd get a better photograph, and that's exactly *not* what happened! The man working didn't have a sheet to lay her on--instead he had me hold her sitting up on something vaguely like a music stand, about five feet in front of a blank screen in a very dim room. He then did some quick photoshopping to make the picture brighter (why he didn't just turn the lights on in the room, I have no idea). It's not a flattering photo of my kid (she's all slumped, because she's not old enough to sit up yet), and there's a grey dot right in the middle of her forehead from dirt on the camera sensor. All this for the underwhelming price of $20. I wish now I'd done it myself--I've got a professional dSLR and a great portrait lens; I just thought it'd be a pain to find somewhere to print a color photo. :P read more

Joe is the nicest photographer in town. He is also THE place to go for passport photo. He knows all the requirements of different countries and you will be just it will be not rejected. I went to Hunt's a months ago to have Canadian passport photo taken and only it was rejected by the office a month later of not meeting the standard. I confirmed by email that the studio would be open on Saturday morning and set out to get my passport photos taken. Because of the snow it took me a while to get from Arlington to Somerville and then I had to circle and park several blocks away because of the snow. After all that, despite the notices in the window that their Saturday opening hours were 10 - 5, they were closed. Not professional! read more

Excellent place for a passport photo. We took our 21 month old daughter there for her passport mug shot and they did a super job. They even used photoshop a little to fix it. The only service we used was 5 minutes for a passport pic. read more
