Marina took beautiful pictures of my family and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I…read morefirst contacted Marina via Yelp to request a quote. She responded very quickly and was able to book soon, which is what we were hoping for. In getting ready for the photo shoot, I messaged back and forth with her about what we should wear, to include sending pictures of our outfits. She gave good feedback and recommendations. I was nervous about making sure we looked good together, but not matching TOO well and looking cheesy. I felt really good about the outfit decisions after working with her, which made me confident in the shoot. We booked an hour long shoot and decided to start in our home and then transition outside. Now my family consists of my husband and me, plus our dog and two cats. Though our pets were not the most cooperative during the shoot, Marina was very patient and happy to work with us to get decent photos with all the pets (yep, even the cats). We ended up spending about 45 min in our home and then drove to a nearby park to take photos outside. Marina found a great spot to start and after taking several shots there, we walked around and went to a spot my husband and I frequented. We spent about 45 min there too, so the total time we had with her was about 1.5 hrs. She did not even mention the extra time and before we were done, wanted to make very sure there weren't any other locations or shots we wanted. We really appreciate the fact that she cared and wanted to make sure we were satisfied. The pictures turned out beautifully. We are very happy with the final product and even the unedited photos are worth printing!

She is focused but easy to be around, with a fun personality and real professionalism. She's great at keeping the kids happy and occupied for these I-can't-believe-she-got-that-on-camera moments and gets some of the best smiles and expressions out of them. I want her to do a photo shoot with me and my husband next. Her prices are so reasonable, too--you get unbelievable value for what you spend, especially for the Boston area. People will think you spent a whole lot more than you did, and I guarantee will ask you for her number. I love that. Like someone else said here, the hardest part is narrowing the images down--any one of them would be your favorite shot from another photographer, but with Laura, it's just soooooo hard to pick. We loved the photos of our whole family too! Laura is both professional and laid back, so easy to work with, and fantastic with children - she put both of our "big" girls (ages 3 and 2) at ease quickly - and they can be tough nuts to crack. Laura has three children of her own, and I think this plays a huge role in her ability to relate to little ones, and to get them "on board" with smiling and having fun for photos! We love Laura and will definitely work with her again in the future!!

It was a really hard time for us to be in a pandemic, with a newborn, as new parents, while isolated. Missing out on our newborn photos was a small but nonetheless heartbreaking loss for me. Kate was so graceful and kind, she offered alternatives and came to shoot us (from afar) outside at our home...those photos will be forever memorable. I cannot lie and say that I have not at one point in my life suffered with low self-esteem and the desire to lose just five more pounds, but when I signed up for the workshop that was definitely no longer the case. Yet, as Sharona and I chatted about different things, and she eventually took my picture I was immediately at ease with her. She brought out things in myself I didn't realize I needed to feel, and when I viewed the finished work the following day I was amazed that she had helped turn myself into true art. It was not an ego boost, but a self-realization that I went through, and one I didn't even think I needed to go through. After my experience with Sharona, I am a firm believer in Phototherapy.
