I have ordered prints from Eastern Photographic Services before, but my last experience was not great at all. I had to get a photo printed for a friend who lost their father. It was a time sensitive print. The day I needed to pick it up, I left work and called them at 5:45 saying, "I know you close at 6, but I'm 15 minutes away and really need to pick up this print. Do you think you can stay open just a few moments longer so I can pick it up." Their response was, "We really do close at 6, and have families to get to. You can try to get here, but we probably won't be here." I was a little shocked at the customer service. I know that everyone has families to get to, but I'm surprised a small family shop would not be understanding at all. Especially when you would think they need all the business they can get, being a small shop. I asked if I should even try to get there, and she responded, "You can try...." I got there at 6:04, and no one was there. Lights were off and everyone had left. I was shocked, but understood that I did not get there by 6. I needed one more print ordered, and I justified the latest experience because I did arrive after 6. So I ordered again through Eastern Photographic Services. When I went to go pick up the print (in plenty of time before they closed), I asked if I could use their counter space to put the print in my frame before I left. I really didn't want the print to be ruined. The lady responded, "Um...I don't think so. If someone wants to come in and look at frames, we need that space." WHO IS GOING TO COME IN? Every time I had been in their shop, I was the only person. This small family shop is never bustling with customers. And it would have only taken me a total of 3-4 minutes. In the end, that print was very large and ended up getting damaged because I didn't get it in the frame for transportation. That was the last straw. I will never go back to Eastern Photographic Services because they did not at all treat me like a valued customer. Their prints are fine quality. Not the best, not the worst. You get what you pay for. But their service is awful. I'm always so happy to support local small shops, but not theirs. read more

I am so glad I found this place. I needed to click a few passport size pictures. The staff are very courteous, the quality of the picture is excellent since it is clicked in a professional studio( I realised how bad the other places which have 1 hour photos are) and the wait time is very minimal. Would definitely go back for more work to be done by them. read more

Not really sure how they stay in business...technology is very outdated. Took photos for a friend who wanted to develop tdemhere and make enlargements/photo-books and their software does NOT allow me to upload photos on their site and save or share them. Seems pretty basic. I uploaded 140 photos to the site after I finished editing them on my home computer and called them because once I logged out I could not find them and there is no way to share them. I called and they said I was the 1st person to ever ask about being able to do that. Really? Walgreens, CVS, Hunt Photo, Ritz, etc all let you make an online album that can be shared. If you decide 2 weeks or a year later that you want a larger size print or another copy, you have to start all over again here. Insane. Maybe the prints are better quality than some other places, but I'll never know. read more

Easy-going group of people able to do a lot of different things including passport photos and resize of images. They probably do a lot more of these the services I looked into what I was over there. It did look like someone was bringing in photos to get restored but I'm not sure if that was the end result. If you need somebody in regards to photo work developing production or resizing they should be one of your first choices. read more

They have made very decent copies of old family pictures, some going back to the 1920s, at a reasonable price. (I have not had restoration work done.) So when I found three old rolls of instamatic 110 film in a drawer, I did not hesitate to take them in for developing. Not one of the prints was legible, which was not a total surprise. However, the $65 they charged me was a total shock. This was a simple development process. It was my mistake for not viewing the pictures first--I should have realized something was wrong when all three envelopes were handed over sealed. So much for trust. I will never, ever go back there. Needed a Canadian Passport photo (new biometric requirements) and Eastern Photo is excellent. Contact them if you need international passport photo, bring the details and I am sure they will be able to help. read more

I had them put some 35mm slides that were extremely old onto a cd, they did a great job and it was ready in only one day. Their price was the lowest around, lower than the internet and no postage involved. read more

Wow...I counted up how many photos I have framed there over the years and am at 19 so far. They do a tremendous job and really know what is best for each situation. I also had some old photos scanned and box of old slides put onto a cd . They are very accommodating and professional , with great customer service attitudes. read more

Went there to take a pair of passport pictures.Whilst the picture itself was ok they overcharged my credit card by as much as $32.62 for a picture that should only have cost me $12.When I drew the lady's attention to it she became defensive and refused to refund the amount overcharged me.Since I don't have the time and money to get my money back through the courts I have decided to let go.I wouldn't personally do business with them again.If you however decide to do business with them then make sure you really scrutinize the receipt they issue you because they might charge you twice for the same service with the hope that you might be too busy to notice it. read more
