I reached out to many photographers, and was impressed not just by the portfolio of Boston Portrait Company but also by their responsiveness as I was able to get an appointment within a few days. Upon arriving at the studio, Nichole patiently walked through the process and allowed me to feel comfortable with my first professional photography session and in the midst of COVID (she wore her mask the whole time and had separate buckets for used items). Once we started shooting, Nichole positioned me in ways that would capture my best angles and allowed me to see the photos in real-time so I knew what to adjust. Following the session, we went through all of the photos and she patiently helped me select which photo would be best suited for my purpose. I got my photo the next day and couldn't have asked for a better product! The photo came out phenomenal thanks to her expert camera skills, understanding of people's best angles, and retouches. I could not be more pleased or recommend Nichole enough and will be using Boston Portrait Company for any such occasion in the future.

She was kind and patient with our baby and the hour flew by! Our baby had a great time! We originally hired Kate to do our newborn photos last year (April 2020), and unbeknownst to us...or anyone, they ended up being canceled because of the pandemic. It was a really hard time for us to be in a pandemic, with a newborn, as new parents, while isolated. Missing out on our newborn photos was a small but nonetheless heartbreaking loss for me. Kate was so graceful and kind, she offered alternatives and came to shoot us (from afar) outside at our home...those photos will be forever memorable. It's clear she loves her work, but its also clear she is a compassionate and caring human. I can't recommend her enough. Thank you Kate.

Briana!! The love we have for you is beyond compare. Best photographer in New England! Ok, I…read morecan't say that. But she's gotta be up there. We hired Briana and her husband James to be our photographers at our wedding in 2013. After looking at Briana's portfolio, we were expecting big things. Somehow she exceeded our expectations. Since we were not living in New England at the time, Briana suggested a Skype chat. We had so much fun talking to Briana and getting to know her. She was just our style - super creative, yet not pretentious. She "got" us and our vision, and we knew it from the first 5 minutes we met her. The package we got came with an engagement shoot. We decided to do it in the beautiful scenery in Cambridge. Lots of old brick and cobble stone. Lots of beautiful architecture. Lots of greenery. Briana brought it all out, and then some. It was a great way to get to know Briana better, and she very quickly got to know our quirks and personalities. It was really fun, but more importantly it exposed us to each other before wedding day. I credit this shoot with allowing us to be super calm and comfortable on wedding day. I know I know . . . most photographers offer and do engagement shoots. But not a lot of them offer them for free with the wedding packages AND have Briana's personality. Briana was so easy to work with. Wedding day was a dream. She got an incredible number of great shots, and we have an amazing documentation of our day. We didn't hire a videographer, so our pics were super important to us. Briana created a great STORY out of our day and our lives together for the 10 hours we were together. We recommended Briana to a friend and they hired her for their wedding in Maine last weekend. She's still great. I can't wait to see her photos. I can't recommend Briana enough. I wish we lived in Boston so we could be friends. Seriously.

The emotion she portrays in her photography makes you feel part of every moment she captures. After our initial meet-up with Briana, we were blown away. She is at the same time the kindest and the most professional person you will ever encounter. She is incredibly creative and is happy to mold your vision into something beautiful, meaningful and unique. Neither of us had experience in a heavily photographed situation, so Briana also offered incredibly helpful advice in how to best achieve the aesthetic we envisioned. From our engagement shoot in Central Park to our wedding in Maine, she immediately keyed into the best locations and shot them beautifully. Briana kept the stress to a minimum at all times. When it poured rain during our outdoor ceremony and there was a quick turn around to an indoor ceremony, I cried futilely. Briana quickly stepped in to offer to photograph in Portland, where we were flying out of the next day, if we didn't get the shots we were hoping for. Due to Briana's incredible skill, every photo came out perfect, and there was no need for additional photos. Briana's patience and proficiency extends to pets and small children. She got amazing shots of sometimes screaming children. By the end of the engagement and wedding shoots, our dog was completely in love with her and would attempt to leave the photos to go sit with her. The photos she took of our dog are incredible; she is the rare artist who captures the personality of everyone she photographs. Briana also had edited our photos within 2 weeks (ridiculous right? 9 hours of photography, edited and compiled in 2 weeks). I have friends who have not received photos in months. Briana was in the middle of a major relocation, and where some people may have not produced photos because of that, she used it as motivation. This speaks volumes to her dedication. Bottom line - if you are considering Briana for your project, choose her. She is fantastic in every way. I feel lucky that Briana photographed our wedding. It was the best day of our lives and I see that in every photo she took. I highly recommend her.

When it came to choosing a photographer, it was a no-brainer picking Shaby at Terme Studios. Her documentary style shooting and impactful, yet natural editing drew us to her instantly. Additionally, she had a number of photography packages to choose from, which made her even more appealing to our very budget-conscious minds. She was a pleasure to work with from the start, and was patient with us when we had the idea to make things a little more complicated in the name of enjoying more of our wedding party. We decided to take most of our family, bridal party, and individual portraits before the ceremony, without actually doing a First Look. This took a LOT of coordination to keep my husband and me apart, but it worked out flawlessly with Shaby's help and direction. After the ceremony, we had so much fun taking formal and more artsy couples portraits under Shaby's direction. During the reception she was busy snapping away, and based on the gorgeous sneak peek photos she's sent us, we cannot wait to see what kind of magic she captured! She also worked seamlessly well alongside our videographer, and coordinated with all our other vendors to ensure that our wedding day went as smoothly as possible. I highly recommend Terme Studios for your wedding photography needs!
