Every business can do well when things go smoothly, but when things need addressing, that's when you know you are with the right company. I needed one headshot for a website, and found TK Photographers on Groupon. I booked the shoot, and the photographer was fantastic. She was calm, relaxed, and acted like she had all the time in the world for me. She did a mix of suggesting certain shots and being open to suggestions. The photos were ready in a very short period of time, which was great. The slight problem came when some of the photos were duplicates, and I ended up with 13 instead of 21. Youssr worked kindly and patiently with me to rectify the problem, and I'm now very very happy. I will definitely use them again, and recommend you do the same. First let me start by saying, wow my second experience with TK was night and day compared to the first session. During the second session my photographer was Kareem. We shot in Beacon Hill at Acorn street. Every shot taken was amazing. Kareem has a real talent and an eye the right picture, angle and light. I arrived late for my appointment but Reda, the photographer, was very nice about it and took extra time to accommodate me and ensure that I had a good photoshoot session. I just got my wedding photos yesterday (less than 3 weeks after the event) and they are fabulous. I chose TK because I liked their website, their portfolio and their pricing options. They made the whole process super easy with their use of technology - digital contract, email and calendar reminders, paypal payment, digital online photo collection for easy downloading and/or printing. The photographer did an excellent job capturing the decorations, the guests, the ceremony and reception, all with very little direction from me or the groom since we were pretty casual with planning things. They did a terrific job of entertaining and photographing us, even though we had come to them with a Groupon for only 30 minutes. Our annual anniversary shoot in Beacon Hill, my professional headshots in Cambridge and newborn pictures at our home. During our most recent newborn photo shoot, our baby literally cried the whole time. Let me start from the beginning, literally! My boyfriend planned to propose to me but wanted to capture the moment with a professional photo. After a lot of research and a few different quotes he hired TK photographers to shoot the proposal! Kareem and Tarek were very flexible with scheduling and open to his ideas - he had a very specific plan. Once we got the photos back, they did not disappoint! Soon after planning was underway - we were so pleased with how the pictures from the proposal came out we decided to use TK Photographers for our wedding. The package we chose came with an engagement session so we decided to use it. We figured why not get more comfortable in front of the camera, plus it was a good opportunity to get to know Kareem a little better. We chose Beacon Hill and the Boston Public Garden to do our pictures! During the session Kareem was fun, easy going and efficient. He was able to capture a lot of variety in two locations in a short time. Again, we received our pictures within days and were so pleased! As for our wedding...two weeks before our wedding we met with Kareem and Mo to go over the details of the day. We outlined all our ideas, the style of photos we were looking for, specific shots we wanted to capture and timeline of the day. They were very detail oriented and hands on. We looked at photos together and took notes. On the day of they were on time waiting at the venue when the wedding party arrived. They got right to work but were very discreet, you hardly knew they were there. The night we got married was chilly and snowy - it did not phase them, we stuck to the plan of doing our first look outside and they captured beautiful pictures! Throughout the night they captured many photos we asked for and got some additional surprises in there as well. They were very professional and have a great eye for beautiful shots. These are by far the best and most cooperative team of photographers I've come across in Boston! We booked them for our maternity shoot and were blown away by the amazing pictures that Kareem took of us! I recently purchased a Groupon for TK Photographers and then chose not to use their services based on a request to sign a contract that included language asking me to agree to give them rights to use or sell my photos in any way they saw fit. Based on some email correspondence in which I stated my discomfort with this contract language, I was led to believe that TK Photographers planned to sell my photos to a third party stock photographer as a way to offset the low cost of the Groupon, unless I agreed to pay a $150 model release fee. After posting my review here, I received a couple of follow-up emails from Tarek, the head of their company, who apologized for the confusion and mistakes from the prior emails and assured me that he would be instructing his staff to fix the contract language and to make this more clear on their website (e.g. the term "model release" to be clarified). My understanding is that they will be updating the language in their contract so that it will allow them, like most photographers, to use the images on their website and in brochures for the purpose of advertising and demonstrating their work, but will not ask the clients to agree to having their photos distributed or sold for third party usage (e.g. on a stock photo website). After a half-dozen emails, I'm happy to finally have this clarity and assurance, and I'm anticipating using their services after I've had a chance to review their updated contract. The example photography on their website is beautiful, and once their business communications are as clear and transparent as their photographs, I anticipate updating this review again. While they're getting this updated, I would still recommend them with a suggestion to future clients that any contract terms be reviewed for clarity before making a purchase. Tarek and Kareem did an excellent job for an unbeatable price. They were able to accommodate me the day I contacted them in a beautiful and convenient location. I had a great set of photos within days. I was very pleased. There are extra charges to keep the photos on the server longer, have their logo removed, etc. All of these charges were spelled out in the contract and none presented an issue for me. A few weeks ago I had a photo session with TK Photographers requesting headshots. They were very accommodating, well organized, and my photographer was very sweet, but she provided little guidance during the actual shoot. Unfortunately I wasn't happy with the results, and I expressed my dissatisfaction through a review. Within minutes I received a reply from them. I further expressed my concerns in detail and TK Photographers graciously offered to rebook my session and provided me with a different photographer. Kareem is FANTASTIC. Not only did he take the time to help me relax to ensure I got better results, but he walked me through the process by helping me find angles and poses that worked best for me. I'm in love with the photos I've purchased and I will definitely be using these headshots for my theatre work for years to come! TK Photographers photographed our wedding this summer and we could not be more happy with them! We had Kareem and 'Mo and they took a huge amount of well-composed documentary style and artistic photos in a setting that was unfamiliar to them. They researched different poses for each of our locations prior to our wedding and were very accommodating regarding our special requests. We have amazing photographs of all of our guests and the wedding details we put so much effort into. Our wedding was 8 hours long and they kept up with us the entire time without needing cues from us and were up and about the entire wedding...they are hard workers! We really appreciated how invested they were in getting great photographs and getting the most out of our locations. Kareem and Mo found some very photogenic places at our site that we didn't even know about and would pull us aside at every free moment to make sure they got photos of us in those locations. They really maximized every moment of our wedding. They provided excellent coverage, were kind, professional, accessible, and very helpful. I could not recommend them more! read more
