They laid out plenty plastic, wore protective shoe guards to not track in dirt, and asked us about what the water had affected. They vacuumed, dehumidified, and aerated. Damage was extensive beyond what we expected. They cleared out closets to get to hidden damage and to pull up water soaked carpet. They left no stone unturned. They quickly assessed and got to fixing! They were also very mindful of our pet, which means a lot. They took personal interest in our health considering dust, mold, and all the possibilities of damage is so detrimental. They talked us through the whole process, carefully documenting, and taking pictures for insurance purposes. We have told him this since day one and the issue is not corrected. As with other issues although he installed it he says he's unable to fix it. Our project *completed" in February, under our contract we have one year to address issues for correction or repair and they would be covered, problem is since they have been paid they are unresponsive. Issues include a lack of water pressure in kitchen, gutter installation problems, gas fireplace, bubbling in paint, loose banisters.......he took all the lighting away from our sunroom and we now have a Band-Aid solution. They came, listened and quickly provided a quote. My only hesitation, I was not seeing current reviews online and it made me doubt that I could trust this company. All I can say Martir the owner spoke to me about my concerns and earned my trust. The craftspeople that he employees are some of the best I have ever seen and we had our entire house gutted when we bought it so I have seen a lot of good and bad work. Martir filed the permits and got to work. Each day another worker showed up to repair my home. Martir was orchestrating the flow of workers very efficiently. I could not be happier with the quality of the work being done, the communication and the value that Capitol Builders provide. I had evidence of mold in my home from testing and told Mr. Taylor that I smelled mold in the bedroom corner and the kitchen. He gave me a 34-page "bid" (estimate), which I read in full, only to find that it was entirely boilerplate and did not explain anything about the findings or proposed remediation plan or explanation of why they needed to charge $6,000 to do what he had explained to me was simply uncaulk, dehumidify, recaulk, clean the ducts, and clean the HVAC, which is about $1300 of work. I repeatedly requested a short summary of the work to do be done, only to be told that it had to be discussed instead. I called him, and he verified the scope of work I mentioned. His explanation was that it had to be done to industry standards, which included putting the house under negative pressure and doing the work all at once, so that there was no mold flying around or cross-contamination. I told him we could not afford $6,000 and would seek to do the indicated work with other contractors, which we did. The duct cleaning guy begged me not to waste my money on duct cleaning, since he'd cleaned our ducts the year before and mold does not live in ducts, but we got it done anyway, following Mr. Taylor's general work plan. Duct guy was right; it made no difference. The two issues I had identified Mr. Taylor incorrectly indicated were caused by the HVAC (bedroom) and the kitchen drips, and that once the source of water was stopped and the area dried, we wouldn't need to close up the gap in the kitchen cabinet wall. He was wrong on both counts. I continue to smell mold coming from the bedroom wall and the kitchen cabinet. I called him to ask for additional diagnostic help with the bedroom wall issue. He did not return my call. When I called the next time, he had no recollection of the service and attributed our poor results to our not having used his state-of-the-art plan, which would not have made any difference, because he misdiagnosed the two main issues. I requested his additional help, which he refused to provide.

He quickly assessed that it was done by squirrel(s) near the end of a soffit. Soon, a steel mesh was cut and fitted around the narrow gap to prevent any future attacks. He further covered a similar spot on the back site, so that there'll be no worries for me in this regard. Last year, I had a roof vent (not knowing which one) with water dripping down to the basement. After water tests, he figured out the right vent and placed an elbow on it...vent closed and problem solved. I've known Minh for more than 10 years now, and he had helped me in numerous occasions. He is super honest and extremely skillful in what he does, often beyond roofing.....grateful experences for me.
