Zaytoona - Hummus Shawerma with chicken. It was spectacular. But fair warning, the garlic in the hummus could break your whole AND date!

The server was well versed in the menu and took on 10 tables by herself. She also gave a fun fact about the ceiling. I might have to come back for the spicey chicken but splitted the chicken bowl with my boss. We liked the flavor of the chicken and garlic sauce. I'm so sorry but the salad was not good. I'm so happy I didn't get my own salad. It had minimal crunch and my rice was cool. I did not notify the waitress but to remake my food would be time consuming. Which they did have a sign that said they would fix any issues. I loved that!Overall I'm happy it was a cute spot in downtown Hanford. Oh I also got hummus didn't like cold tomato's on it but I'd order it without and maybe extra olive oil and paprika. Overall 4 stars for the waitress. She is so impressive handling tables. Things I would suggest. A hummus trio plate. I wanted to see how spicy the spicy hummus one was. They didn't have samples...

This place wasn't very busy, but they have two self service kiosks for ordering menu items. They also have a large shelf in the back for pick-up using Grub-hub or Uber eats. I ordered off the Kiosk thinking it would be quicker. There was a wait, I saw patrons who ordered after me at the counter get their food before mine. I didn't make a big deal as the manager asked if I had the Santa Barbara burger and she assured me the cook was making it fresh. I ordered the Santa Barbara with Avocado and added bacon. I opted for fries. They carry Pepsi products which I was glad to see, but I gave up drinking soda so I opted for the Cucumer lime refresher they have. Oh that tasted so good. My burger arrived hot and fresh. It had plenty of avocado. I didn't realize how big this burger sandwich was. Did my stomach shrinK? I was only able to eat half. The lettuce was shredded so it was hard to keep that in tact with every bite. The onions were carmelized and the sourdough bread had plenty of mayo on it. This sandwich was made perfectly. I have zero complaints. My fries were cooked perfectly and I ate them with mustard and ketchup you can get at the condiment bar. The last time I had a habit burger, I had a Turkey burger. While ordering through the kiosk, I didn't see a Turkey burger as an option. Did it get removed? They restrooms were clean and you're able to wash your hands only without someone locking you out. Great job and kudos to the manager for keeping this place well maintained and operating. Parking: I came at 4pm right when all the high schoolers got out of school so this area was busy and the parking lot was full. I had to park in the parking meant for the tire shop. I guess Friday night is Hamburger night. See you some more on Yelp 2026.

We stopped at Superior Dairy Products in Hanford on our way home from Pasadena, largely because our…read moredriver had been there before during his Amtrak days and considered it one of those "must stop" places along the way. He was so right. Superior Dairy is temporarily operating out of a small trailer while its classic old building across the street is undergoing renovations. That might not sound like the ideal setup, but the two young ladies working there certainly didn't let it get in the way of providing a great experience. Both were exceptionally friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to take care of us. I somewhat hesitantly asked whether they could make a pineapple milkshake. This was a deal breaker at Cold Stone when they looked at me like I was crazy for asking--I've never been back. Here, though, there was a brief "Hmm..." moment before one of the young ladies said, "We don't have a pineapple shake on the menu, but we certainly could add fresh pineapple to our vanilla ice cream." Sold! The result was an excellent fresh-pineapple milkshake--and exactly the kind of little bit of creativity and customer service that makes a stop memorable. It tasted so good on a hot day! The temporary location is actually quite pleasant, sitting alongside a beautiful park near Hanford's civic auditorium, with shaded outdoor seating where you can enjoy your ice cream. There's some interesting history right there as well: The distinctive building behind the stand is the old Kings County jail, known locally as "The Bastille." And then there's the ice cream itself. The temporary operation may mean simple surroundings and very plain serving cups, but don't let appearances fool you. The cups are plain, but the taste is not. My only regret is that I didn't try the fresh peach. Based on that pineapple milkshake, I have a feeling I missed something pretty special. Superior Dairy was a fun, friendly, unexpected stop on the trip home--and one I'd happily make again.

For so many people born and raised in Hanford, it's a key part of childhood--whether it was after school treats, family outings, or summer nights downtown. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and served in huge portions that never disappoint. Every flavor has that classic, old-fashioned taste that feels nostalgic in the best way. The atmosphere has that timeless, old-school ice cream parlor vibe that makes every visit feel special, no matter how many times you've been. It's always lively, busy, and full of people making new memories while holding onto old ones. It's also refreshing to see the new owners putting care into the place and remodeling the inside so it can feel like a true indoor diner again, bringing back that classic sit-down experience that so many people remember.

Today, I had a hankering for wings, so back to WS I went. I now understand previous reviewers ratings. The wings were edible, but poorly cooked and seemed to come from older chickens. A bit tough. Skin was rubbery with no crispness at all. My wife had some tenders and they weren't. Cooked and sat around for awhile? Now, the French fries were excellent! If I just wanted fries to eat I would go to Wing Stop and buy theirs. We had decided to eat in to make our outing a bit more fun than a take out order would provide. We somewhat regret that decision. The place obviously had no heat and was cold. Additionally, some employees were non stop yakking in the prep area and one lady had a loud shrill never ending commentary to whatever the conversation was. Halfway through our meal, realizing it was causing communication problems la with my wife, I walked to the counter and asked that they hold the loud talking down. The lady told me "okay". A few minutes later loud acid rock started blaring out from the food prep area. Loudly so. We hurriedly finished our meal and departed. I feel certain that was their intent. Except maybe a take out order of fries, I won't be back.
