WOW what a different store after a decade Boscovs has really updated the way you shop here. It's bright, organized and clean! I love the new check out system that are located at the three exits before you had to run around the store to find a cashier open. They use to have some stuff on the second floor but now everything is located on the first floor. It's just a completely new shopping experience! read more

I don't come to Boscovs very often. Mostly I only hear about them on the police blotter for another shoplifting incident but I was pleasantly surprised on my latest visit. This is a family owned and operated dept store whose founder came to the US with like a dollar. I think of this store as a place for older people to shop but it really is more than than that. (But yes I am also getting older). It has a vast array of items. And when comparing prices they had items cheaper than Amazon. They have candy, mattresses, kitchen stuff, a great bargain section, toys, lots of clothes and a Military discount of 10-15%. If you haven't been. Well give it a try. Trivia: some scenes from the 80s movie Mannequin were filmed here and there is a documentary on the Boscov family that sounds pretty good. Workers were nice. Nice remodel, but less dressing rooms does not make sense. Staff are not friendly or helpful, especially the service desk. I needed so.e assistance and they were quit annoyed I asked for help. Boscovs, please do better. Brick and mortars are slowing disappearing and I'd like to continue to shop here, but online ordering through other places is becoming much easier even though I like to shop in person. read more

I love Boscov's. Great prices on quality clothing along with occasional insane deals on clearance items. Levi's for $40. Suits for $100. Dress shirts for $20. All quality brands and your dollar really stretches on clothing. All sales people have always been nice and the folks at the watch counter are great for battery replacement. Very helpful gentlemen in the men's apparel making suit and dress clothes shopping easy for someone like me who doesn't care to "shop." I enjoy the fragrance department and especially the candy counter. Great selections and I love the chocolate coffee beans!!!! What a great department store. This is a nice and organized store. I came here to buy summer shorts and one of the employees helped me find them. I went during Memorial Day weekend, so I hoped to get most of my items for a good price. All was going fine up until I went to the register. The woman at the counter rang up my items, and I asked to see her computer screen with the items because the overall price was a little too much for what I had anticipated, and the worker gave me an attitude about it. I just wanted to take a few seconds to make sure I was calculating the right prices, and that I was respectful of the people who were behind me. read more

We go here several times a year when we are in town. I've been so impressed with the customer service. Even when they are very busy and the staff is overwhelmed, they seem to be upbeat... Terrible customer service; unable to find an open register EVER; I proceed to the self-checkout (not that it's my job); I scan (1) item but could not figure out how to scan the large item I had in my hand so I stand there like an idiot for 5 mins looking for some type of help (received no help); I decide to checkout the (1) item I was able to scan and I leave the large item sit there on the floor. I then hear "MAAM are you just going to let that sit there?" I said YES you can put it back on the shelf because that's your job !!! I'll shop at another store and hopefully I'll have more luck ! read more

I have shopped Camp Hill Boscovs for years, but for the last several months when I finally find a sales associate after going to 4 registers most of them are rude and not at all professional!! Had to return a purse that was torn, had recent receipt and employee was extremely rude with an awful attitude. She grabbed my bag and threw it on the back table. I then asked her what the problem is, she said I have an attitude. I said "get a store manager right now" She said there is no store manager and said I was rude again. Okaaay, I then demanded a manager!! Manager lady arrived few minutes and apologized, said she'd talk to her. Sure. I will continue to shop here a lot, but someone needs to train your associates or fire them. I worked restaurant management 20 years and never treated my customers like this!! The staff at this location is incredibly rude. When asked where to find an item they'll roll their eyes and tell you it's out of stock without even checking. When checking out they will constantly try to send you to different registers because apparently no one working there can actually be bothered to do their jobs. read more

I have never had a more horrible experience at a department store. They are disorganized and rude. I stopped at Boscovs during my lunch break to pick up a bikini, which I needed for after work. I browsed the racks and tried on suit after suit until I found one that I liked. Any woman knows how hard it is to find a bathing suit to fit their shape. So I finally found "the one." Unfortunately, the bottom fit, but the top was a little snug. I needed a large. But the swimwear attendant was nowhere in sight. So I waited about five minutes and decided to visit the neighboring department--lingerie. I waited in line and asked the woman if she could check in the back to see if they had a large. She told me that she could not because she was assigned to the lingerie department. I would have to wait until the swimwear attendant returned from her lunch break. I went back to swimwear and waited about thirty minutes or so, then ventured to the juniors department hoping I would have better luck worth that attendant. She told me the same as the woman in lingerie. I would have to wait. Now let me ask you, how hard would it be to pick up the phone, call in back, and see if they have the top in large? From there I waited another ten minutes and went upstairs where the offices are. I ran into a woman and told her my story. She said to bring it to customer service. And guess what? I got the same reaction. The man told me I would have to wait until swimwear lady was back from her break. So I went back to swimwear. Still no sign of her. So I made one last attempt to ask a woman hanging clothes. She told me to wait. I had waited an hour and a half at that point and ran all around the store. I left the swimsuit and went to my car, feeling pretty upset. I called my husband and told him what happened. I went back in one last time. And guess who was standing behind the swimwear counter? Lingerie lady, the first person I asked. Well I brought the bathing suit to her and asked again. She gets on the phone and start calling other stores. I clarified that I wanted to know if they had the suit in back. To which she responded, "Oh no, we don't keep them in back." Good to know. What a waste of time!! If you do decide to make yourself a victim to this racket, make sure they take the security devices off your clothes before you leave. This has happened to me twice and my mother-in-law once. To drive all the way home and find a stupid plastic bobble fastened to your new dress is not fun. Good luck. And remember, Macy's is just a few minutes away. read more

Did I die & go to heaven? Nope just stumbled into Boscov's! After my coworker was raving about this place we took a day trip from DC to Camp Hill for some tax free shopping (I know- a lot to escape taxes but it was a long weekend) Anyhoo--we get to Boscov's and OMG- this place is HUGE! I mean every direction I walked, when I got to the end of the section there was another right beyond it. I didn't even make back to the house wares section even though I tried very hard. The place is super cute. I'll get to the brands and normal departments in a moment for let's talk about some unique offerings in this department store. They have an As Seen on TV section upstairs! I LOVE these little inventions so that was an added plus. They also have a candy counter in the middle. Not just any candy counter, oh no like yogurt covered pretzels, rich chocolates, and I think I even recall some baked squares. I mean seriously this is an ingenious idea. Who doesn't get hungry when shopping? Macy's never has any snacks so this places get a star for that alone! The shopping- They have a GOOD selection of brands and sales. I was quite pleased with their memorial day offerings. I also noticed they had an ample supply of fitting rooms. Each section had their own fitting room and they were all open and clean. This was a welcome pleasantry for me as I ALWAYS have to try everything. Walking through department stores to find a good fitting room really dampens my shopping experience. I ended up walking out of this place with an outfit for work, slacks & a cute top, all for $25.00! Did I mention the pants were Anne Klien? If you're a shopper you know you can't beat that deal. I always liked Boscovs , never wrote a review before, but today was so frustrating! After waiting in line to pay for my purchase, and helping my elderly mother with hers, I asked for boxes, and was told I had to go to gift wrap, I went over, and asked for a few boxes, I was rudely told that I had to take a number and wait in line. I said again that I only wanted a few boxes, that were right beside her, and again was told to take a number! We spent 400.00 dollars in the store and have to jump through hoops just to get a box!! read more

This store is HORRIBLE! My fiancée bought my engagement ring here and under the warranty I have to get it cleaned and examined twice a year. No problem. I live 90 min away so I have to wait on it while it's being cleaned, but I thought I would browse the store! I was excited ! I was looking for something in particular so I walked up to a sales associate and asked if she knew where it was. She proceeded to tell me she didn't know that , it wasn't her department.. Really? Customer Service mean anything to you? Maybe your department is cosmetics, but you couldn't pick up a phone and ask someone? So I finally found it and went to three different service desks to be checked out. No one would assist me? I actually went to one and the lady said I can't wait on you I'm with another customer. OK, I understand that, but could you maybe be a little nicer? Finally a very nice lady Denise at the jewelry counter helped me. Evidently customer service is not their priority . And that's ok. We purchased a fabulous on-sale Dooney and Bourke handbag for less than half price and in our elation left our debit card at the counter. Over an hour later we discovered our loss and went back. They had found the card and canceled it with our bank. We are grateful and amazed at their efficiency and caring for their customers. What could have been a disaster for us is now fine and can be remedied totally by calling our bank on Monday. Thank you Boscov's! read more

The absolute worst ordering online and customer service. They don't even follow their posted and stated hours. I recently tried to order 5 items. Not only did it take me 1 1/2 hours going back and forth and all over the website to find the items at the prices they had in their ad and which told us to order online, but then it couldn't show if the items were able to be shipped or when or if they were in store. After coordinating with their customer service over the phone (they admitted they weren't trained in everything) I finally got the order to go thru with 2 items being shipped and the other 3 available for pick up at 2 different stores. Since they were for Christmas I decided I would go ahead and pick up the items because Boscov's had no idea when shipments shipped! They said to wait to go to the store until they emailed me that the items were ready to be picked up. Today I receive an email "items canceled by customer"!!! I did NOT cancel anything! They admitted what happened was the items were in the stores when I placed the order but when they went to pull them for me THE ITEMS WERENT THERE! Even though their website still says they are! They also canceled the order and DID NOT give me credit back to my card! I will never use Boscov's again. read more

I had a terrible experience at this Boscov's today. The cashier my mother and I had was rude, she would not allow us to have two separate transactions, she argued with my mother when my mom wanted to have an item taken off after it rang up as $30 more than it was priced at. She even threw a hanger! This along with constant loud, obnoxious sighs and plenty of eye rolling. My mother is a Boscov's credit card holder and used to love this store. The entire experience was depressing and shows how much this store has gone downhill. When we tried to get the correct price from a different cashier, we were also treated very poorly. One of the woman exclaimed "I don't have time for this!" I apologize, Boscov's, for our attempt to make purchases at your store. Apparently, your cashiers do not have "time" for that. This place is huge and appears to have everything. Although I live in the area I hadn't been in this store for many years but wife and I decided to stop in yesterday to look for a crib. They had a good selection and we were able to get a really nice one for about $100 dollars less than what we'd been seeing at other stores. Ended up leaving with a new watch and some clothes too; the woman who helped us with the crib was extra friendly and accommodating and the lady at the watch counter was very helpful and patient. IMO better than some of the department stores at the mall. read more

Went to Boscov's searching for the perfect shoe in Selinsgrove found it on super ultra clearance but not in my size. The lady was very helpful, found a Boscov's in Harrisburg (I was going there anyway) with it in my size. Went to the one in Harrisburg and the shoes were there waiting for me. In both stores it was crazy post-Christmas sale busy but in both cases the ladies were super nice! read more

i bought 2 sofas at camp hill Boscovs. after 3 months the console got damaged. it buckled like it's made of cardboard. I called several times to complain but I am told they can't help me because i only bought the fabric warranty and not the construction warranty. my argument is it should stand up longer than 3 months!! they do not stand behind their products nor does the company who manufactured the sofas. I will not be spending money ever again in their store. read more
