I love this store. I asked for help and Sabree told me find someone in this section. I was taken back. Target employees are usually like chick fila. Excellent customer service. I asked her if she could call someone or point me to the right section. I used the on the wall kiosk, it said what i needed was in stock, I just needed a little further assistance because I did not see the item. I even had the number of the item, maybe she could punch it in her handheld device. Sabree ignored me. i mean BLANKSTARE looked me directly in my face and reached around me with her scanner. And scanned a headband!... Well I never! Sabree if you are new you need retrained on professionalism and Target's standards. Where have the employees gone? I stood in the electronics area, and searched for help at least 15 minutes. Eventually, I had to walk to the front of the store and request help. Everything is locked in cabinets. The move to online shopping and pickup seems to really be affecting retail help. A bad look for a large chain like Target. read more

As a person who recently moved to Camp Hill, I found many of the items on my list without much help. Everything is placed around the same location as any other Target would, and the staff is friendly and helpful for any questions that I had. I ordered a dresser online to be picked up at the store the same day and it was ready before the two-hour timeline was up. Hamza at the Mechanicsburg Target is down right rude and belittling when talking to customers. He presents himself in an unflattering way with the way he speaks to guests. Hamza refers (plural meaning more than once) to older customers as elderly to their faces. Additionally, he's been observed coaching his team to treat customers with the same disrespect. His team will yell at you accusing you of being a scammer and will even follow you to the parking lot to call you a b!tch. He will profile you as a scammer if you are an older customers who ask for help with the Target app. He profiles customers based on their age. If you ask him for help, his mind goes to a place of judgement. Corporate needs to intervene before he profiles someone who then brings a civil suit against the store. read more

I shop at many different target stores and this one by far has the MOST RUDE managers. Not only do I feel like one particular manager has an issue with me because I've had to correct them on prices that were wrong but she literally rolled her eyes at me. Not once but on multiple occasions. My husband went with me on an occasion and asked why that lady was doing so. The way they speak to staff in front of customers and the way they speak to customers is outrageous. THIS IS WHY I SHOP ON LINE! I am writing a review today because I am sick of it and will not shop at this one any longer. Jonestown road isn't much further and I will be going there. Never really had any issues with this place, they always have what I need and some. My GF loves this particular location because they always have great clothes in there clearance area. I was so shocked at some of the items she found that I went to the men's section to see if there was a clearance section but unfortunately i was let down, then again I'm not really there to shop for clothes. I do however love all there dinning, home decor and smaller home furniture items. Super stylish and functional. Some what of an IKEA feeling. Convenient location right off the Carlisle Pike, but that also means it can get busy. read more

I visited my neighborhood Target this morning to get a phone with Consumer Cellar. Arrived around 10:15 am. Three customers waiting in line at the Electronics desk before me. I asked what is going on? Well they said " the staff is not here yet!". I called and was told the night before that they open the section at 9:00am. They said the same. They also said that the store was notified and they are trying to find out what is going on. After waiting for 15 minutes I gave up. On my way out I stopped at the customer service desk. They had no clue there was an issue. I asked to speak to a senior member for clarification. The young guy in charge (manager) did not know it either! So the people still waiting at the Phone area are basically wasting their time! I said. When I asked him what is going on he said - the phone guys are not Target employees so he doesn't know when the'd show up. I said " Target advertises Consumer Mobility all over the media yet you do not know when people can get service? He replied " I can send an email to Consumer Cellular and find out!" Really? Why not just call someone and tell them it is unacceptable. Besides, isn't Target responsible for ensuring reliable customer service on its premise? He had no clue what I was saying. Only that if I really wanted the phone I could contact Consumer Cellular on line!* - really! read more

This place just opened up in the area in the last year and even for a Friday night, it was busy. It's one of the few highlights in the town, so I'm not surprised. I'm a huge fan of Target and this one keeps the good name in tact. It's brand spanking new, clean and the staff is actually pretty helpful if you ask where things are. I was a little disappointed that they only stock futons during the college opening rush, but alas, I guess that's just the way it is. We'll be back, I'm sure of it. read more

In the Harrisburg area, with a few Targets to choose from, this one is my favorite. I've never known it to be unclean, everything seems to be stocked in normal amounts, and there's a Starbucks to quench my thirst after spending money on stuff I don't really need, ha ha! If I had to complain, and it may seem stupid, it would be about their "remodel" of the book/magazine section. The whole area seems to have shrunk, especially the magazines. Like I said, it's a small thing but I you really are looking for something to read, chances are it isn't there and you may be better off driving to the local B&N. read more

I went to this Target again tonight, and I have one bit of advice to give anyone who's shopping here.... look at the sell-by date on the grocery items you purchase! I was APPALLED to see some Horizons 2% organic milk with a sell-by date of August 21 sitting in the dairy case. You really think it's okay to try and sell me milk that expired over a week ago? EW! This isn't the first time I've seen expired food here, either. A couple weeks ago I went to this Target, and I was looking at some close-out food on one of the isle caps... and there were some canned goods that looked rusty and had a sell-by of JUNE. How this is possible in a store that's as new as this, I don't know, but I think from now on I'm going to be going across the parking lot to Wegman's to do my grocery shopping when I'm in Mechanicsburg. Also, it always seems that any clothes in the ladies' section I like that are in sizes over a S or an XS are gone at this Target. Doesn't make sense to me that they're always sold out of the good clothes when the food section is so bad. : ( If you have a choice, I'd avoid this one and go for either of the ones on Jonestown or Parkchester in Harrisburg. I've had better shopping experiences at both locations. read more

Not sure what happened to this target from a year ago but this was the worst target I have been to. Poorly managed, only self service was open and there were 3 or 4 people just standing around and the line was at least 10 people long. One register opened, he checked out one person and my items were on the conveyer and he just walked off after he checked out his one patron. I am in no way a disgruntled customer, I'm just shocked at how embarrassingly terrible the service was. Definitely going to the Wegmans next door for next time. read more

Store is nice but staff were ridiculous. I spent enough money on black Friday to earn a 20% coupon. I went in and bought a whole slew of things including an Xbox game. The coupon was for the entire purchase and did not exclude Xbox games/software. When I asked the lady about it she just kept saying "oh gee, I don't know." So I asked her to ask someone. So a front end manager comes up and says no it won't work, it says it excludes entertainment (which it doesnt). While they are calling in another person, I ask about them ordering me a shelf. The 1 that they have is broken, but they say they can't and that you will have to do it on your own without the coupon. (A+ customer service). So another guy comes over and says, yes you can use it for games. So we do, and she rings up the rest of the purchase but does not apply the rest of the 20% off, saying I can now only use it for the game, even though it says the entire purchase. So yet ANOTHER gentleman had to come over and tell her to apply it properly. What a debacle. I am never shopping here again. One lady was extremely rude, the other was a clueless airhead, and they all made ME feel bad for wanting to use a coupon that I EARNED. Good job Target Mechanicsburg. How about teaching your employees about customer service. read more

I walked around the perimeter walkway and was approached by 8 people asking me if I needed anything or help. I understand the need to make the customer feel helped but this was just ridiculous. Back by electronics I had 2 guys within 10 feet of each other ask me if I needed help. I told the second guy to go talk to the first guy on what I needed and pointed to him behind me, of course I needed nothing , it was just funny to watch them confused for a moment. Another thing I find amusing is that if you drive down the street to Walmart to compare prices, you will routinely see that they compete down to the Penny.. Literally. One or the other will be 1c cheaper than the other on most of the identical items they carry. 11.95 for a video at Walmart, 11.96 for the same video at Target. Sometimes they are cheaper, sometimes they aren't. Not a bad place to shop, they just need to chill on the "Do you need any help today" Lines.. read more

The other day while checking out a worker walking by saw my cart (filled with diapers and formula) and asked me if I use the cartwheel app. I said I was going to check it out, but was unsure how to use it yet. Well organized target. I have found some amazing open. They have lots of clearance items that I have never seen at any other Target in the country. They have a decent grocery area and their toy selection is fab!.I have made out with some great inexpensive hauls! Patio, toys and kids clothes. Also, their employees are very nice! I went to this store yesterday to make copies of some old photos. I had some difficulty figuring out how to run the scanner. Jess, who works in customer service, came over and offered her assistance. This is a nice Target but they often don't stock their shelves. Sometimes I am able to get my coffee there and sometimes the shelves are empty. so many times I want to see the clearance section in electronics for video games. A lot of times no price is on any of them. This is extremely frustrating. The games would sell much faster if people knew what price they were instead of having to ask. One time this target had at least 30 copies of the same game with no price on it. I complained and they found out the price but it is still annoying. the other clearance electronics always have prices why can't the games? I have left in anger and frustration when it was busy and nobody to ask the price of a game. I shouldn't have to wait a few minutes to find someone. it should already be priced. Went shopping with my husband and daughter, looked for a few thing and got things needed as well as some great deals. (Who doesn't love target deals) the store was very clean and of course it was late and they had a hour before they closed so we were trying to be courteous and leave early. We got to the check out and there was a very rude lady. She not once asked if we found everything, or hi how are you. Once everything was scanned and I went to pay with my bank card I asked (to double check) which button was to choose credit. Very snotty she huffs "umm the green button" so I hit it and was closing my zipper part on my wallet and the ding went off quickly to remove the card. (Kudos for fast processing) as I was grabbing it she looks at me again like I'm dumb and huffs again "umm now you take your card out" not sure if the exact wording on that one as I was pretty flustered I was just spoken to that way. I said in return "sorry I am just shocked at how rude your being". So then I go to leave and she goes straight to the next customer, no "have a good night" or "bye" I had to grab my bags and then I waited for my husband changing my daughter in the bathroom. I then asked a young girl if my receipt had the persons name on it to leave a review and she went that direction and came back. She said no it does not but her name is (not saying names). I left a review on the website as well as here. I never get upset but this was sooo rude. read more

management is horrible they fire new employees for being "too slow" and they think the employee "doesnt want to be there" when there's is obviously other people that are slower and people that dont care. They didnt call said employee to let them know that they messed up a weeks schedule on a day they were off so the employee came in on the hours that the messed up schedule and they sent the employee home. they also marked the employee a no call no show the day they had off and the day they came in at the wrong time without a single call to let them know. the day the employee had off was because they had an appointment they they needed to go to (couldnt be rescheduled) and the store didnt have them put in the days they needed off at orientation or even when they started the employee had to wait two weeks before they were given a sign on and shown how to request off, that was 3 days before the day the employee needed off and they still scheduled that employee and just told them to call off that day. two days later they fired the employee. I agree the store is nice and the team members are nice but morally the management at that store is messed up. The employee is living paycheck to paycheck same as many people in this world. But you know target doesnt think about people going homeless when they fire them after they already mess up too. That employee kept up the pace with the people the employee was put with and on their own went faster. why didnt the person that messed up the schedule get fired? why didnt they call the employee to let them know the new schedule? thank you target for not helping the world be a better place. i will post this again and again until something is done. they obviously dont care about certain employees and dont give chances or even let someone know how to improve. read more
