Along with a friend, my parents, and my sister's family we had a great experience with the previous, older couple that owned the store. Unfortunately, the store is under new ownership and I do not recommend ever buying something from them. My couch was delivered and was put together without the middle "foot." We did not realize this until the frame started buckling in the center, but as soon as we did I called to inform them. It took about a month or more until they finally came out to look at the couch. The man that came was nice and informed me of the problem and that they would fix it; however, I did not hear back from the store. After another month, I called again and the new owner shouted at me and said that this was the first he had heard about it and that the best that he could do would be to send someone with the missing "foot," but he did not want to discuss what was to be done about the warped frame. When I continued to push the issue and question how he would make the situation "right," he shouted more and swore at me, ultimately hanging up on me. We walked in with less than an hour to closing time with two rowdy children, ready to look at sectionals. The owners (an adorable husband and wife team) stayed after hours and helped us pick out the perfect sectional and fabrics for our living room - and other than a missing sock by the end of the experience (my daughter lost it on her and her brother's adventuring in the store while we finalized our order), it was an awesome experience Highly recommend checking this place out if you are interested in buying a comfortable couch or chair! read more

They are absolutely the worst and they lie about it. Ordered furniture 7 1/2 months ago ! We called once at 18 weeks and told no news then called at 6 months they said lane furniture still behind(lie). Called at 7 1/2 months and they said nothing we can do, i said i would call and the owner said no one to call. I found the corporate number and the woman got back to me with no record of the order, but said she would have one on a truck and in pa by monday and she did !!! I stopped at store on tuesday and the lady said when ever they unload the truck she would call me probably a week. She wanted to let me know ill get the furniture when says!!! Ill never use the or lane again !!!!! They suck there rude and arrogant ! read more

My wife and I found Sofa Selections completely randomly after visiting 4 other furniture stores, and ultimately settled with them due to their customer service and wide selection of quality materials. They weren't pushy or hovering when we were browsing, and were very friendly and informative when we had questions. Upon looking them up when we got home, I found this Yelp page and was quite honestly both surprised and worried that I might have made a bad decision. Ultimately glad I did not view this page prior to purchasing as I might have missed out on an awesome furniture set. I will say that it took 6 weeks after we put in the order since they did not have the couch+loveseat in the material we wanted in stock, but they made that very clear to us prior to completing the initial payment, so can't complain there. They called me three days in advance telling me when it will be delivered and let me know how to pay for the remaining balance (by check in person, or with a card in the store). The delivery guys were super friendly and personable, and explained the furniture care kit to me. Both the couch and loveseat feel exactly like they did in the store, and feel very sturdy and comfortable. All around fantastic experience! Great experience in general while dealing with Greg. His mother is very unpleasant, however, so avoid her if possible. Appreciate that they take mask-wearing seriously, but was disappointed that I was quoted 2-4 weeks for tables and they still haven't come since I ordered them over a month ago. I just called and the mother told me they have no idea when they'll come in. She just doesn't sound like she cares in any of my dealings with her. That's extremely frustrating and I feel like I was misled. My seating, however, arrived pretty much on time and is every bit as comfortable as I had hoped. Delivery guys were excellent, too. If you steer clear of the mother, I recommend them and would buy from them again. read more

Great staff (very friendly, knowledgable, and not pushy) and a great value. I wouldn't say that they have a large selection on hand, but it's not a huge store. What they do offer is a ton of customization options like color and fabric and can order whatever you don't see personally. I think the prices are probably the best part: you get a good quality for a good price. All of their furniture is built in America, so you aren't getting some Walmart junk. I bought a loveseat/couch and couldn't be happier. Free shipping to military and reasonable removal fees for the old furniture. Some other reviews mention bad mover personnel but the guys were courteous and fast. Would purchase from this location again. Family owned, American made, and a great value. read more

I do not recommend this store. It took much longer than promised to receive our furniture, we paid $3000 for living room furniture and two of the pieces are falling apart in less than 6 mos! No service at all - once they have your money, they could care less about taking care of their customers! I called to have them look at the furniture and keep being told "someone will come to look at it next week for sure" They know they sold me an inferior product from what we chose on the showroom floor and don't want to stand up and honor the warranty. Avoid this business! You're better off buying cheap crap at a discount place, it will last you longer and you'll have about as much luck with "service after the sale". read more

Purchased a sectional about 6 weeks ago. This is a family run business and they were a pleasure to work with. We had been to every store in the area, some of them two and three times. We were drawn back to this place and are so glad we decided to go with them. Gregg (the son) was great to work with. We decided on the sectional style then went to work on the specs and fabric. Everyone there was great. Manufacturer we decided on was Klaussner. It took several weeks for the item to be made and delivered. We are thrilled it. Would work with these folks again read more

I bought a expensive sofa from here in hopes of getting something that would last. The sofa got delivered to my house when my wife was home. When I got home I sat on the sofa and it felt like it was broken. I called to have it repaired and it took two visits to have it repaired. During one of the visits the crazy people they sent to my house told my neighbors who were smoking on there porch to stop smoking because it was bad for them. WTF!!?? I had several other problems with the sofa after a month and I was given a hard time about it. It completely fell apart in a matter of months. I went out and bought a sofa and love seat for cheaper than there sofa at Value City and its been perfect to this day. They seemed like the nicest people before I bought the sofa and after they were very rude. read more

great customer service... we had gotten a sectional that had a couple of design problems that caused us to have problems with the cushioning ( which has nothing to do with sofa selections as a company... it was the brand that we purchased) and Greg at the Harrisburg location bent over backwards to get the problem fixed for us. Nicest people you could ever meet. The owners ordered me the couch I needed to fit my awkwardly shaped living room...they helped me with ordering the correct sections of Klaussner sections to fit my living room...I picked the fabric type, color, and throw pillow fabric. I absolutely went back to them again for a second couch after buying from them 5 years ago and having excellent service then. They are down to earth people from the community...which is why I'll continue to go back to them. read more

If you're thinking of buying here, RUN, DON'T WALK TO THE NEAREST EXIT!!!! Bought an oversized love seat recliner and paid extra to have Fabric Protector added. Made my purchase in August. The back of the couch broke in the first week. Within two weeks tears in the seams began to show up and the padding had begun to shift so that when you were reclining, your legs were almost on the plain board underneath. Called immediately for repairs, as I was given a one year warranty. The first time I got someone to come was November. Could not use the broken side of my new couch for those three months! The repairman fixed the back of the couch, but brought the wrong parts for the rest of the repairs and I was told I would have to wait for new parts to be ordered. By mid-December, after numerous calls, I was told NO ONE would be coming until after the first of the year, as Christmas time was their busiest season and current customers were important. Since they already had my money I guess I was no longer considered a customer of importance. After six visits for repairs, I was told they would no longer try to repair the couch. At no time would the owners even entertain the idea of replacing the couch. I was told this was the couch that was delivered, it was the couch I would have. Period. By the time that last repair was made, I mentioned that the Fabric Protector had not been added to the latest repair and was told that the Protector was added at the factory and there was nothing I could do about it. $60 down the drain. All told, the couch was repaired and/or rebuilt six times over 1 1/2 years, it has no Fabric Protection (that was paid for), the foot rests recline differently, so they are never even, the one foot rest is still almost on bare wood, and one head rest was overstuffed to the point you cannot lean your head back unless in the reclined position. Dealing with the owners was a nightmare. They were rude, inconsiderate, unreasonable, and at one point, their daughter called my Mother a hag because she asked why we were waiting over a year to use a couch we had paid almost a $1000 for. My money would have been better spent at the worst discount store. Avoid Sofa Selections at all costs because it will cost all they can get from you. read more
