I've worked in customer service myself, and my past employers would never have tolerated this kind of interaction with customers. I visit this restaurant nearly every year, sometimes twice a year, and after all these years, the unwelcoming attitude never seems to improve. When I said it was just me, I was asked, "Do you want to sit at the bar or in the dining area?" I chose the dining area and was told I would be seated with other families. No smile, no warmth, and not even a simple confirmation that this was okay--it just felt unnecessarily dismissive with a snooty attitude. Is being unwelcoming a requirement when hiring hostesses, or is it a generational thing? I wonder when this will finally be addressed and improved. I may die of a heart attack if I ever actually see it happen! Thankfully, the food and table service were much better. The chicken-fried chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli was hot and delicious, and my server was very friendly. It's just unfortunate that the experience starts off on such an unwelcoming note.

We did arrive for during the early lunch service so it was still fairly empty, however the food took quite a bit to come out. The server was not great as well, they would help us and then disappear for a period of time before coming to check. Overall, it would be a really amazing place if the food and service were A1, but unfortunately the only good thing about this place is the cool appearance.

That should have been my first warning about this place. It's a cute bar but they are dishonest about their prices. The white wine I asked for was $9 on the menu. Then, when I pointed out there was a discrepancy on the menu vs. the first bill I received she looked at it and said " Well that might be because the register automatically just applied that charge to the bill". I ended up paying for the happy hour payment after all. It just seems sketchy she hiked up the price for one glass of wine.
