I came to Teatro for my birthday dinner and, overall, had a good night…read more I will say that I was very disappointed with the agnolotti. The description on the menu was misleading, and I was really looking forward to a tomato-based pasta, so I was disappointed when it arrived and was completely different from what I expected. It was also served very cold. Our waitress was very difficult to hear, which made it challenging for our party to fully understand what we were ordering. I also ordered a cosmopolitan, which unfortunately tasted like it was mostly water. That being said, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The lighting and atmosphere are lovely and definitely make me excited to return. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration, as there were still some things I really enjoyed. I highly recommend the eggplant parmigiana and the striploin!

(Highly recommend getting a piece or 2 of their bread and sopping up the extra oil!) Then I had the best eggplant parm I've ever had- and I've had many. The ratio of tomato sauce to eggplant and cheese was beautifully balanced, and the way they put a hint of char on the slices of eggplant really brought out extra flavors. So many people do not know how to make this dish and the texture might squeak when you eat it. Or else the breading is way oversaturated in oil- not here!! It was beautiful, delicate, melt in your mouth stuff of my food dreams. Vegetarians take note- no clue where you'd find a better meal! Hubby also raved about his pork chop and salad and loved the Asian flair of the broccolini. Staff was all in top form and honestly, I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to Calgary!

Kaitlin was our server and so friendly - she kept our water filled and provided honest answers to menu questions! We had the arancini- 3 very small balls that were not the best I have had. It was creamy but a I like my lasagna more hearty. All in all was a decent meal. $90 reminded me of a macaroni grill. Probably would not eat there again since there are better options.

I really appreciated my server for her cheerful energy, it truly made my day. She took really good care of us, showed this level of understanding and pep that kept up with my ordering, it honestly was one of the best servers I've ever had. This place has great deals! We came on a Saturday where kids eat free, so we got to order a few free items off the kids menu which was a nice touch. I enjoyed their meals too, which were at a reasonable price and also a good portion. I enjoyed the Florentine and omelettes the most. The eggs Benedict could've been prepared a bit better but still good. Their pancakes were very delicious if you have a sweet tooth! Honestly all around a great experience. Oh but I wish the potatoes were a bit crispier and seasoned but other than that a great experience.

Excellent!Decent wine list as well. Everything, including our plates and the washroom was spotless. It was a beautiful night but the patio was closed, perhaps they were not expecting a crowd on the long weekend. Would have been nice to sit out, we get so few opportunities. Service was excellent, however there was an issue with another table that we overheard. Apparently they don't put the main into the kitchen until the appetizers are finished. I understand why but that could lead to a long wait, especially if you think you're nibbling on some olives why the chef prepares your main. However, our experience was excellent and we'll be back.

The service was good, timing of everything was appropriate. I had a margarita with pineapple and it was okay to be honest. The focaccia was delicious with a crispy crust and pillowy soft center with fresh herbs. I ate three pieces myself . The calamari salad was delicious, a perfect balance of flavours and textures. Here you have a symphony of lemon, golden raisins, olives, sun dried tomatoes, almonds, fennel, spinach, and soft calamari. We both had duck and it was a bit of a disappointment. The breast was rendered and you got some crispy skin and a somewhat tender bite. What it did not pair well with was the red lentils and beets. The lentils and beets together tasted odd and did no compliment the duck. We had a side order of the fingerling potatoes and was delighted. It had a nice slightly crispy outside and soft inside. The sauce had a nice kick to it (mild I would say) and the olives added a bit of salt.
