I'm up from CA, visiting family. I saw the Boring Winery and Taproom on my way to visit my niece and stopped in. I opened the front door, walked in, and was met by a quizzical look by Amy, one of the owners. She informed me that, unfortunately they were closed, and that they would be open on Wednesday. I mentioned that I was flying back to California on Wednesday, and would stop in on my next visit. So, I was invited in for a couple of samples. Now that's hospitality! I tasted their Barbera and Cab wines. Yum! If I were checking my luggage, I would have purchased a bottle to take back with me. I also got to taste an IPA. Amazing! Amy gave me a tour of their place, it's huge. Plenty of room inside, even a section you can rent out for a private party. They also have a beautiful area outside complete with a gazebo and two fire pits. Cody and Amy, the owners, were so welcoming and engaging (especially since they were closed). I will definitely be back next time I'm up in Portland!

Good have drinks, food and chill! Went with a friend on a groupon, when without it amazing! The pricing is great and the food simple but good. The staff was super informative and nice. Will be going again and highly suggest for you next group event!

We loved Boring Winery! Ruben was amazing! We had a birthday gathering in town and Ruben went the extra mile to make our day! Thank you for the great time, the awesome wine/beer, and the overall atmosphere! Y'all are so damn Boring, that it was amazingly fun!

Had purchased a Groupon for a Boring Brewery that was listed at this address but they would not honor it. Was told the people who did operate the brewery went out of business. Was specifically told "Had bad beer and couldn't make it. - out of business" So, decided to try their wine. Wow - bad!!! Know good wine and this was a waste of my money. Left the place and headed up towards Mt. Hood and saw a sign just as I was entering Sandy for the Boring Brewery. Stopped in and discovered they had been the ones that supposedly had bad beer and went out of business. They immediately honored the Groupon. Boring Brewery had great beer and is alive and well in Sandy.

Had such a great experience at this place! We had a groupon and Anthony was super helpful and crazy personable! The wines were pretty damn good, we got a nice appetizer platter and played games that they had there. There was also a lovely view out the backyard with grape vines and hops growing. Anthony was great conversation and helped us with recommendations. We ended up taking a bottle of the chardonnay home because it was actually very crisp and dry unlike oaky ones we've had. I would happily return!

It's spacious, with lots of different types of seating options, from tables in the center of the main dining room to booths and a fun little wine barrel-esque 4-top table by the windows. There's also an indoor little fire pit with seating around that by the front window. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot, so that's never been an issue for us. The wines are wonderful, as expected. WVV has expanded its portfolio over the years and includes a nice array of labels so you can get your classic Oregon Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, as well as more robust reds like Tempranillo and Syrah. The bubbles are always a good choice here, and the rosé is usually a crowd pleaser. The menu here is small, but mighty, and the quality of the food has always been top notch, in our experience. On Wednesdays, there's a happy hour menu. On our most recent visit, we loved the tarragon shrimp and the mushrooms. The truffle fries were fine, but tasted more like standard garlic fries and not so much truffle fries. While I love having a wine bar/restaurant like this in this area, the one thing that has been disappointing is that I have noticed the service has gone downhill since it first opened. It's not bad, but it's also not as attentive, warm and welcoming, or knowledgeable (re: the wines) as it once was. So one star was knocked off for the just-okay service, but otherwise, this is a fantastic spot for foodies and wine lovers alike if you are in the Lake O area!

Perhaps selfishly I was trying to keep it a secret to protect my stash access to some of my favorite wines in the region. Only 3 miles away from our home, Twill has been our local favorite winery for over 5 years. A small and intimate venue, every attention to detail has been considered and engineered into their presentation and guest experience. They treat you like a member of the family, caring much more about you than profit. Rare in this world. It has been the location of my daughter's wedding and engagement party. And no doubt more family or professional events if/when we're in need. Molly and Daryl are the most charming and warm "neighbor vintners" we know. No pretentiousness. All passion and commitment to excellence. So let's get to the wine. Our favorites have been the Steelhead Pinot (retired), their 2021 & 2023 Color of Orange and their 2022 Willamette Chardonnay. Add to that - the 2019 Johan Vineyards and Bracken Pinot Noirs.....WOW! And they also recently added fabulous appetizers (we loved the almonds and olives) - you could spend a beautiful satiated afternoon with your favorite people - leaving with rested and glowing happy faces. The world needs more of those. Wouldn't you agree? So make the world better and make Twill your staycation getaway for the day!:)

Lime and olive trees, eucalyptus, cactus, and so many flowers, vines and bushes. My husband and I felt like we stepped into a countryside winery in Spain or Italy. The Pinots, Sauvignon Blanc were delicious and we even lucked out by going on a day when there was an opera singer sharing her voice with the crowd. $15 a person for 6 generous tastes is unheard of these days!!! Tastings are offered only on Saturdays from 1-4 pm, and they require a reservation. You can bring your own food/picnic. I heard about it pretty close to the event and my friends I came with had heard of the winery before. I went in with no real expectations. I get around by cane and am a lot more mobile somedays than others. I cannot recommend this to anyone with mobility issues. I was able to get around a bit but the parking lot is gravel, there is a VERY epic hill one needs to hike up that is also gravel and steep and the grounds are very uneven throughout with rough stairs and such. Where they wanted most people to "sit" to picnic was a hill of gravel. The lawns are uneven. The space is gorgeous but again, this is a nightmare if you have any mobility challenges. I truly appreciate the thought given to everything here and I sincerely feel that they are just doing the wine as a means to fund their gardening and space which makes me clap and scream bravo. The space is gorgeous though i saw some of the website photos and some of the areas I think were better previously - they seem to keep adding gravel and I wish they would go with that old world feel they are trying and even do cobble or stone walks. Anything but gravel. Which brings me to the wine... I chose the rose and that is one of the first bottles of wine I genuinely found uncomfortable to drink. My friends said their Pinot Noir was just as awful. I noticed later that even the label is haphazard. It was shockingly bad and I am not a wine snob in the least. So, with all that... I say that is you want to experience a sort of rustic Spanish villa you stumbled on to definitely drop in. I am sure their tastings are maybe where is at for some but their tasting room has an incredible view of the grounds so that alone is probably worth the gravel trek in and $15.

Greg shared that he had been with the family owned business for exactly 1 year the day that we were there! We told him he deserved a bottle of the reserve Pinot Noir as an anniversary gift, he was great and treated us so kind and never rushed us. We chose to try the Reserve Flight and a charcuterie board. The wine is delicious especially the last 2 Pinot Noirs on the reserved flight menu!! It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday and we will definitely be back! The only bummer is we did not get to meet the owner/family but Greg certainly made up for it.
