We were excited to try this spot out, and stopped in for dessert on Valentine's Day. First of all, I loved the decor inside, bright and cheery. We were greeted when we walked in. The staff we encountered were all very nice and helpful. We looked at all of the options, so many things to choose from, but I wanted to try out the kanafa, it was good, I've had better, but I liked seeing that they were making it there right in front of us. That was cool to see. My boyfriend tried pistachio Gelato and cheesecake. I was impressed by the Gelato, the colors weren't intense (i.e. not using food coloring), it was a good indicator that natural flavors were used. I don't like a lot of pistachio flavored things because they often don't taste like real pistachio, this tasted of real pistachio (not almond extract that others use). I really liked it and I was impressed. The cheesecake was good and creamy. The menu was varied and lots of other things to try on our next visit. We grabbed some Americanos from the coffee selection, they were decent. Oh, it was so sweet, they gave us a carnation for Valentine's Day. read more

We loved this place SO much during our recent visit to Dearborn. For starters, the staff were so friendly and enthusiastic about their product. We've loved learning about Booza but have it nowhere near us. It takes me back to my time in Istanbul watching the guys stretch the ice cream and put on a show. This particular shop features at least a dozen flavors. We took their recommendation and went for the pistachio ashta (rosewater) and had it in the rolled/sliced version with rose petal and a fun shaved topping that reminded me some of halva. It was SO good! I will hunt this place down the next time I'm in the Detroit area. What a fun flavor and texture combination! Other flavors included mango, passionfruit, plain ashta and so on. If you're new to it, go for the ashta! The space has a few indoor and outdoor tables. I noticed a lot of folks were getting it to go since it doesn't Kelly as fast. read more

We went there for dessert for Mother's Day to get one of the most amazing treats ever, the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup. So delicious! I want to give a special shout out to the guy making the big round knafeh cheese dessert giving out samples. He gave a sample to my mom and then spent some time taking with us about the business and answering all of our questions. He was a very nice gentleman and was the perfect example of great customer service that is so hard to find these days. We will be back to Booza Delight in the future for two reasons. This was a small ice cream shop with a gelato case and two bistro tables and chairs inside and picnic tables outside. The interior was clean and bright and smelled heavenly. Booza or Ashta ice cream is a specialty ice cream that is pounded then scraped and flattened, covered in pistachios and rolled into a log and sliced. Booza is a hidden gem and deserves more credit and recognition for their high quality menu items. The staff is very kind and accommodating. They gave us tons of gelato samples so we could pick the right flavors and they were all fantastic, it was hard to narrow down what flavors to order. Their ashta roll is amazing and a must order item, but don't look past the gelato! The gelato is high quality and not full of added sugar, you can taste the fruit flavors and they shine through perfectly. Highly recommend stopping by this location -they have something for everyone!
