This is my favorite gym in the area. It's never packed, all the members are respectful, and the…read moreequipment is great. For powerlifting equipment, they have competition racks, kilo plates, and deadlift bars. For bodybuilding, they have every machine you need and they're all high quality. They're all plate loaded hammer strength machines which are some of the best and they also have some more "boutique"/rare pieces especially for leg machines. The customer service is great and the owner really cares about his members. A while back, I had to cancel my membership because I was moving and I was able to cancel it in minutes over Instagram DMs. Any time I've reached out to them there, they have always responded within a couple of minutes. I really recommend this spot and the price is pretty reasonable considering you get access to a private facility.

I rarely leave reviews but this was one of the worst gym experiences I've had…read more I signed up for a monthly membership at Lions Den expecting a decent private gym. Instead, on my very first visit at night, there was no AC and no airflow at all. I was sweating before even starting my workout. Other members around me were also confused so this clearly wasn't something that just bothered me. Trying to work out in those conditions was not doable and unsafe. The equipment didn't help either. The stair master I used felt outdated and laggy, which only added to the frustration. I decided to leave to cool off and give the gym a second chance later that same night. When I came back close to midnight there was someone loitering in the parking lot from the homeless encampment nearby which didn't exactly feel right. Then during my workout the lights suddenly shut off completely leaving the gym dark while I was inside. That alone should be a dealbreaker for anyone given that the homeless are right nearby wandering leaving one to think could one have messed with the place or broke in. Just look at the photos of how dark it became . When I brought these issues up, the responses made it worse: I was told the AC can only be turned on by a trainer meaning if you work out at night (like many people) you're basically out of luck. I was told to "leave the doors open" to fix the airflow which makes no sense given how the gym is laid out with the gym area far from the doors. I was told the lights are supposedly "automatic" which didn't match what actually happened. My schedule only allows me to work out at night so this setup makes the membership practically useless. Wish I could've took photos of everything wrong with this place . I went one time and had all of these issues. I asked for a refund and suddenly got no response despite the good communication early on which was a bummer. The two staff I spoke with overall seemed great but the way this place is run is unacceptable. Between the lack of AC and safety concerns and no accountability it was a no for me. had to stop a female friend from enrolling cause this is not a gym I would trust or recommend to anyone.

You are going to spend more money and have more issues at another gym. Trust. The pregnant manager goes around and sanitizes and vacuums--that's not going to happen at other gyms. Staff is super nice and friendly. The gym does run its A/C. Thank you for not being cheap because I don't know who wants to workout in a hot and stinky gym. Members keep to themselves--reasons why I have left other gyms. I'm giving it a 5 (but really a 4.5). I wish they had more/better equipment. They really need machines similar to Gold's Gym. Gold's has more leg machines but their stuff is always broken lol. Fit 19 has some repetitive and hardly-used equipment. I love that you can go into the studio and access all the kettlebells/weights/bars/mats This is usually restricted in other gyms. They often do not let you use weights in the studios at other places. The turf area is nice as well and is always kept clean and organized. People don't leave weights all around the gym--like at other gyms. The equipment is rarely broken like at other gyms with higher price points. You'll be lucky if LA Fitness' cardio machines are working. The spin bike room is so nice compared to other gyms as well. There's a lot more bikes compared to other spin rooms. All in all, you get what you pay for and in my opinion, I'm getting more than what I pay for--$10 a month. It's not a high-fees micro-managed establishment like most lower priced gyms.

Obviously, I refused to pay and decided to leave instead. The employee who assisted me wasn't terribly rude, but they were very indifferent and had zero customer service skills. Also, after reading other reviews about people having issues with unfair cancellation fees, I'm honestly glad things turned out this way because it saved me from making the mistake of signing up here. I do not recommend this place at all.
