Had an opportunity to come workout here a few times last week. Honestly this is a solid well put together gym. Very new and updated equipment and super clean. I really like how they have all the equipment you need to get a good lift in from squat racks, dumbbells, benches, cables, etc... very open and spacious set up as well. This is by far the best gym in the Pomona area. Even better than the Broncos gym which I've also worked out in from the past. Plenty of parking outside as well as individual bathrooms for men and women, a poser flex room, and they offer massage therapy. This gym has it all! Love how they are also open 24 hours and with your membership you get a key fob. Prices are also super generous omg. If you pay for a full year in advance it really saves a ton of money. That's the way to go. Pay for a full year and get your monies worth! Highly recommend joining this elite gym! read more

Warning: Unethical Business Practices with Membership Cancellations! I signed up for a 6-month membership at Lion's Den Gym. At the end of my term, I confirmed my cancellation with a front desk employee and even received a text confirmation that my membership had ended. Seven months later, I was shocked to discover they had reinstated my account without permission and attempted to bill me for 12 months of unpaid charges. When I contacted them, they refused to remove the charges and claimed I needed to provide a signed cancellation sheet--even though I had proof of their own text confirmation. To make matters worse, they later emailed members admitting to software issues during the same period I canceled, which makes their stance even more dishonest. I strongly advise avoiding this gym. Beyond the questionable condition of the facility itself, their business practices are misleading and unethical. Proceed with extreme caution. read more

I rarely leave reviews but this was one of the worst gym experiences I've had. I signed up for a monthly membership at Lions Den expecting a decent private gym. Instead, on my very first visit at night, there was no AC and no airflow at all. I was sweating before even starting my workout. Other members around me were also confused so this clearly wasn't something that just bothered me. Trying to work out in those conditions was not doable and unsafe. The equipment didn't help either. The stair master I used felt outdated and laggy, which only added to the frustration. I decided to leave to cool off and give the gym a second chance later that same night. When I came back close to midnight there was someone loitering in the parking lot from the homeless encampment nearby which didn't exactly feel right. Then during my workout the lights suddenly shut off completely leaving the gym dark while I was inside. That alone should be a dealbreaker for anyone given that the homeless are right nearby wandering leaving one to think could one have messed with the place or broke in. Just look at the photos of how dark it became . When I brought these issues up, the responses made it worse: I was told the AC can only be turned on by a trainer meaning if you work out at night (like many people) you're basically out of luck. I was told to "leave the doors open" to fix the airflow which makes no sense given how the gym is laid out with the gym area far from the doors. I was told the lights are supposedly "automatic" which didn't match what actually happened. My schedule only allows me to work out at night so this setup makes the membership practically useless. Wish I could've took photos of everything wrong with this place . I went one time and had all of these issues. I asked for a refund and suddenly got no response despite the good communication early on which was a bummer. The two staff I spoke with overall seemed great but the way this place is run is unacceptable. Between the lack of AC and safety concerns and no accountability it was a no for me. had to stop a female friend from enrolling cause this is not a gym I would trust or recommend to anyone. read more

This is my favorite gym in the area. It's never packed, all the members are respectful, and the equipment is great. For powerlifting equipment, they have competition racks, kilo plates, and deadlift bars. For bodybuilding, they have every machine you need and they're all high quality. They're all plate loaded hammer strength machines which are some of the best and they also have some more "boutique"/rare pieces especially for leg machines. The customer service is great and the owner really cares about his members. A while back, I had to cancel my membership because I was moving and I was able to cancel it in minutes over Instagram DMs. Any time I've reached out to them there, they have always responded within a couple of minutes. I really recommend this spot and the price is pretty reasonable considering you get access to a private facility. read more

Loved that I was able to catch the gym with little to no people early mornings. Their squat machines are A1!

I've been going to this gym for a while, and honestly, it's just okay--but definitely not worth the price. The equipment is outdated and hasn't been maintained in forever. It feels like the management just doesn't care anymore. The cardio section is the worst part: it constantly smells bad, and nine times out of ten, most of the machines are broken. You're lucky if two are working. It's always hot and uncomfortable in there, and with only a couple of maintenance staff around, nothing gets fixed quickly. Ever since the original owner left, the whole place has gone downhill. At this point, I'll most likely be canceling my membership soon--and a couple of my friends who go here are planning to do the same. For what they're charging, it's just not worth it anymore. read more

I have been a member here for a while and I love the atmosphere of the gym! It has an old school feel to it and is perfect for lifting weights. I would recommend this gym for weight training, unfortunately the cardio section of the gym is down to 1 treadmill, a stair climber, and an elliptical machine. This gym is MIL/LEO friendly and offers great discounts if you choose to pay for the year up front. The gym is rarely packed early mornings or late at night. read more

Poor gym. Been to many and this one is a bad private Gym. equipment is old and broken. On top of that they are trying to charge me after i cancelled my membership. When i purchased a 5 month membership that i paid on full they said there will be no renewal and my account will be closed after the 5 months was over. Now they told me that there is a cancellation fee and that it will be sent to collections. Ridiculous. Also, they say its a 24 hour gym which is a lie. read more

Im coming up on a year at Lions Den and its been great! There's a lot of equipment , even on busy days you are still able to get a workout in efficiently . They are also growing fast which is great for members since we'll be able to get more out of our membership. Only negative thing is there are never wipes available for the equipment and the water is also not usable. The water filter needs to be changed out often. Other than those easily fixable things, I recommend this gym to all my buddies who are in the area. Actually have taken a few and they've thought it was great as well. read more

One thing I always had to deal with when going to the gym was social anxiety, It would get into my head that everyone would stare at me and judge me, come to find out that was just in my head, this gym helped me overcome it. I moved to the area earlier this year and was in search for a private gym. I don't like commercial gyms because of how crowded and judge mental it is. I followed the Lions Den instagram a couple months before my move and they are very consistent with posting other members and their workouts as well as posting any new updates that are being made or added onto the facility. There's no need to find street parking since the gym has a private parking lot. They have great sign up deals going on throughout the year and the environment is very friendly as well as comfortable. read more

This gym will work for free weights and squatting racks but the quality of the machines is lacking. Some machines seem to be falling apart and a few months ago they painted them all black to try to make them look newer, I guess, but same old equipment. My low rating is due mostly due to their unpractical cancellation policy. I called on September 1st to cancel my membership and I'm certain I that I confirmed I wouldn't be billed for either my membership or guest privilege pass, as a matter of fact they told me my account was deactivated immediately. A couple of days ago I was billed the guest privilege fee for the next billing cycle therefore I called and was told that I had to request for my guest pass to be canceled too. By me confirming I would no longer be billed for any of the two charges I would think it's obvious I'm canceling all services but I have no way to prove it. Regardless, it makes no sense to keep a guest account active when you don't have a monthly membership???? I didn't want to argue with them over $15, I guess they need it more than I do. read more

I have been a member of lion's den since it opened. Immediately the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. The atmosphere was perfect. Since I was a gym newbie I wasn't always doing things properly but luckily the people were super kind and helped show me how to do things properly. Another thing that drew me in was the fair price and the friendly staff. They also have a lot of programs that they offer and personal training all at a very good price. Not once have I had a bad experience with the people nor the staff at this gym. I've come here since it opened and I'll be here for as long as I can. read more
