One day, I arrived late because of traffic, and Stephanie addressed me in a sharp, confrontational tone. From that point on, Stephanie consistently avoided speaking to me while engaging with other members, which created an unwelcoming atmosphere. Despite this, I continued attending in order to finish the classes I had already paid for. About a month later, Stephanie confronted me in the middle of a workout with all other members present. This was not only uncomfortable but also highly inappropriate. Later that same day, Stephanie texted me saying it would be best if I left the studio and refunded my remaining classes minus a processing fee. When I asked about the processing fee, she never responded. I ended up disputing this fee with my credit card company and it was refunded to me. I'm sharing my experience so others can be aware of how concerns and interactions may be handled by Stephanie. While the workouts themselves were fine, Stephanie's unprofessional behavior and lack of communication are a glaring example of how this business is run. I do not believe I am the first person to have this type of experience based on other reviews.

So happy I discovered Ground Zero Gym/Team Zero Gravity Fitness through my trusty MindBody Fitness…read moreclass scheduling app. I saw an opening for the 7pm Aerial Yoga Strength/Stretch class so I did a cross check with Yelp to scope out the gym. The photos were a bit intimidating so I decided to call to make sure that it was a good fit for my level. I spoke with Taylor and she reassured me that there are mixed levels in the Aerial class and we can always adjust as needed. She was super sweet and welcoming so I felt more confident about my decision and booked my class through the MindBody app. The location of the gym is in the plaza behind the Trader Joe's plaza, on the second floor above Elvira's Grill. I arrived a little early since it was my first time and I wanted to make sure I had enough time to find the location and fill out any first timer's release forms. Ryan saw me coming in and he was super friendly and took me to Taylor for introductions. Just FYI, Ryan and Taylor are married and they run this place together. Such a beautiful couple!! I got to observe the previous team class finish up prior to my aerial class and it was really inspiring. All of the ladies looked amazing!! For anyone who is interested in a group fitness class for competition body building or just general lifestyle wellness, this seems to be an incredible choice in the area. First class is FREE!! Check it out for yourself!! Anyways, back to my lovely Aerial Yoga Strength/Stretch class. I love that the class size is limited to 5 students so Taylor is able to give everyone the attention and assistance they may need, especially for any of those who are new to aerial. That being said, I recommend making a reservation in advance to guarantee your spot. I also really like how before class time, Taylor went around and made sure that our silks were at a good level for our hips. When the silks are too high or too low it could hinder your poses or you can hit your head in inversions, so I really appreciate when a studio checks it. I have been to aerial classes, I have been to yoga classes and I have been to aerial yoga classes throughout the IE and OC. To me this class was definitely more focused on the fitness and aerial aspects, with the balance and grace of yoga. The class environment was unlike any other studios I have been to because it was quite in the open of the gym. I really enjoyed the high energy, upbeat environment while we practiced our aerial poses in the open space. Taylor started out the class with basic warm up stretches to help us prepare for the rigorous work out. I definitely felt challenged to push myself to my limit, but Taylor was very positive and encouraging the whole time. I feel like her instruction was very thorough and it was clear enough to help my get into my poses with minimal assistance. I was so proud of myself!! Towards the end of class, before our cocoon shavasana, Taylor even offered to help us take pictures in poses that we learned throughout class. Yay!! I love pictures!! It really helps me see my progress with my strength and flexibility. When I am able to see how I am doing, I make internal notes to myself on improvements for the future. I love the energy here and Taylor is so sweet and encouraging, her teaching style brings out the best in me. Currently the Aerial Yoga classes at only on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm and I am usually not in the area those nights, but I am hoping that their hours will expand in the future. Nevertheless I am still interested in other classes at this gym when time and my schedule permits.

I've been playing sports all of my life and had many coaches, and many great ones at that. I…read morehonestly believe Ryan is better than all of them combined. Pure and simple, you will not find anyone who cares more about his team and his athletes than he does. If you are looking to either step on stage, or bring your body to the next level, there is literally no need to do any more research, just join team Zero Gravity. If however, you are still on the fence for some reason, here's why Ryan is hands down the best coach, there is no close second. #1: Just look at his results: Ryan has coached hundreds of athletes (maybe even over thousand), and for those who put in the work, 100% of the time they get the results. Not even the results they wanted... results way better than they could've ever anticipated, this includes my own experience as well. #2: This IS Ryan's life. Ryan has a true love for the sport and an equivalent love for his athletes. I know that sounds corny, but it's 10000% true. He wants you to win just as much, if not even more than you do. In a sport as grueling as bodybuilding, Ryan knows exactly how to walk the fine line of telling you to step up your game, while simultaneously recognizing that this shit is hard. #3: Ryan's commitment level is off the charts. He has coached me over a span of two years now and I've never seen him miss any shows for his athletes. And I don't mean that he is available via text, no, I mean he literally attends the shows (from 8 AM until 11 PM) communicating with his athletes the entire time. If there is a conflict in his scheduled (two athletes on same day in different shows) he stays in full communication even when he is not physically there. #4: He makes it simple. Obviously, bodybuilding is difficult by nature, but Ryan makes it crazy simple to follow the process. Literally, the only way to not get results is to not follow his plan by trying to make it more complex than it needs to be. Here is what I did: I shut my mouth and did EVERYTHING Ryan said, EXACTLY when he told me to do it. Period. #5: You won't be hungry. This is not to speak negatively about other coaches out there, but the reality is many coaches starve their athletes. I'm guessing because they don't know the true science behind bodybuilding. Obviously this is not healthy, nor is it enjoyable. I NEVER felt hungry. So many guys I competed against said their coach only had them eating small portions of chicken and asparagus for months and they were constantly starving. Terrible. With Ryan and team Zero Gravity, not only do you not starve your face off, you can eat a ton of variety of food and large portions. #6: The cost is a no-brainer. For the results that you WILL get, the cost is nothing. Please don't be fooled by other lower cost options out there. You get what you pay for, and in my opinion, the cost for Team Zero Gravity is way under priced. Sure, you will be able to find other cheaper coaching programs, but WITHOUT the results. I have several friends who went to the low cost providers and it was a joke what they brought to the stage. They wasted their time and money. Don't make that mistake. I could write ten more pages on how much I massively respect and recommend Ryan and Team Zero Gravity, but as Ryan taught me "it's simple... just do what needs to be done." So if you have even an inch of desire to step on stage or build your body the right way, join the team immediately.

I was in my mid 40s and starting from absolute zero: I knew nothing about what exercises to try or how to use the various machines. I had only ever used a treadmill and exercise bike, but found them so boring that it was hard to stick with it. Thanks to Jennifer, I went from being apprehensive to looking forward to exercising for the first time! She walks me through each exercise, makes sure I do not re-aggrevate my old back and hip issues, and importantly, keeps each session fun. I am sadly only in the area for one semester, but working with Jennifer in this short time has not only transformed my health, but also my entire outlook on exercise!

Jennifer has transformed my perception of weight training from something intimidating to an empowering journey, particularly with functional strength training. Her profound knowledge in fitness, coupled with her patient and empathetic approach, has not only built my confidence but also guided me towards achieving my fitness goals. Beyond workouts, her nutritional guidance has been invaluable, making a holistic difference in my life. Massage: I have had the pleasure of receiving massages from both Lorna and Bejon. Both are very professional and experts in their craft. As a runner and a cyclist, I appreciate a good massage as a part of my recovery and ongoing body maintenance routine. While they are different in styles, they will both get you back to feeling your best. Jennifer has done a great job of finding two excellent masseuse's. Lorna: While I am sure she could do any style of massage that is requested of her, I always request a deep tissue sports massage. Lorna provides an excellent massage and is able to get down deep into the tissue and get rid of any knots that are there. I always feel very relaxed and loose after the session. Lorna provides an excellent traditional deep tissue massage. Bejon: He is a running coach and is very familiar with the needs of athletes. He practices a unique no-pain style. His massage feels very much like a Swedish style relaxation massage, but when he finds a knot or spasm, he is able to get it to release in a very gentle way. I have had countless massages over the years and I have never experienced anything quite like it. If you don't like a traditional deep tissue massage and the soreness that occurs the next day or so, but need some therapy to help with your training, I would highly recommend Bejon.

Staff is super nice and friendly. The gym does run its A/C. Thank you for not being cheap because I don't know who wants to workout in a hot and stinky gym. Members keep to themselves--reasons why I have left other gyms. I'm giving it a 5 (but really a 4.5). I wish they had more/better equipment. They really need machines similar to Gold's Gym. Gold's has more leg machines but their stuff is always broken lol. Fit 19 has some repetitive and hardly-used equipment. I love that you can go into the studio and access all the kettlebells/weights/bars/mats This is usually restricted in other gyms. They often do not let you use weights in the studios at other places.
