    Bootie LA!!
    Lily A.

I came to bootie LA for April!!! I missed last month's Bootie, but it's okay. I got my groove on for April. The resident DJ...Adrian and Mysterious D!! They are absolutely my most favorite...they combine such great music, and really know how to get the crowd going. I absolutely love them. This particular night they brought out a group of gold dancers again! Always fun to watch them perform. And there were two guest DJs from Germany who totally rocked! Perhaps they DJ at Bootie Munich or Bootie Heidelberg. I don't really come here to meet people...I mostly come here to DANCE! and have a little drink here and there. I seriously take it as my major workout for the month! If your a shy dancer...or you just suck...it really doesn't matter...everyone here has their own style, everyone is just having fun. Drink specials: - Cranberry and vodka = $3, but it's mostly cranberry...little on the vodka - Tecate Beer = $2 I can't make it on May 2nd for the next Bootie LA...but I will definitely try to catch the June one...it's the first Saturday of each month! Oh and a friend just had their 3 year anniversary of meeting each other at Bootie too...it was so cute. They try to make it every month! Hard core.

Clean, security visible and present, great drinks, cigar area and amazing dancing to eveb more revitalizing music both DJ and live. This is just a tip of the iceberg. I have to give an enormous shout out to the burlesque dancers who did their thing, the band and the saxophone player. It brought me back to the days where clubs were for dancing and enjoying the vibe. The patrons were a mixed bag. Young, older, average and gorgeous/handsome. Couldn't ask for anymore. I'll be back!

It was nearly impossible to move, no matter where you went it was packed like sardines. Getting 1 drink took 20 minutes each time (mind you ONE BEER is gonna cost you $10) It was so packed everyone was spilling and dropping their drinks everywhere. I had someone drop a glass next to my feet not once, but TWICE. I had SHARDS OF GLASS IN FEET, BLEEDING- and nobody came to clean the glass or provide any assistance to me. I was stepping on glass for the whole rest of the night. I informed workers about the broken glass yet nobody ever came to clean it. By the end of the night there was literally shards of glass everywhere. This is a safety concern and biohazard issue? And surely they must be violating max capacity laws. To top it all off, we reserved 1 table, which we were told upfront would cost $350, which we agreed to. The next day we find out they absolutely scammed us. They DOUBLE CHARGED US- leaving us with a $700 charge. It's a shame because the live band and burlesque performances are truly incredible, and this has the potential to be such an incredible and unique club in LA, but they are creating absolutely terrible experiences for their patrons by not implementing a max capacity. We even had a reservation and our party still had to wait outside upwards of 30 minutes. The bartenders and staff were rude. Security was unhelpful. Everything about my experience unfortunately was so negative I don't see myself ever returning here unless some serious changes are made. BE AWARE!!

This was our second time seeing him DJ, and we already can't wait to grab tickets to the next event! Sound is a great venue--decent-sized dance floor, good energy, and reasonably priced drinks. Shoutout to our bartender, too! She was incredibly sweet and took great care of us. And man... those drinks were STRONG! Definitely got our money's worth there! Security also deserves a shoutout. They were very much on the ball, which, as someone who works in the industry, I really appreciate. It makes a huge difference when you can enjoy yourself knowing security is paying attention and doing their job. Overall, 10/10 night. Great music, great atmosphere, strong drinks, and a solid venue. I would always see those lamps in the air moving on social media and it was so cool to see in person, a simple touch like that could add some fun to the experience. The parking lot nearby was really accessible and for the venue. Parking was really cheap and a 10 second walk to Sound. Going into the venue was also easy and felt safe in that area compared to the main street. Among walking in is a bar, restroom and merch table. Drinks are hella expensive. Venue is pretty small but intimate and you can see the artist well. There are tables on the right side and railing on the left for you to stand. The sound was great and listened to Twin Diplomacy absolutely rip. Would definitely come back.

I've heard of La Cita for years, and this is definitely one of those places that has been around for a while and has that classic Downtown LA bar feel. There was a little bit of a line when we arrived, but it moved pretty quickly, so we didn't have to wait too long to get inside. Tonight there was a $15 cover charge. Once we got in, we went straight for some drinks and had a beer and a couple of cocktails. The bar was pretty busy, and it did take a little while for us to get our drinks, but we eventually got them. The DJ was playing a lot of good Spanish music, which really added to the atmosphere and made it a fun place to hang out and have drinks. One thing I thought was really cool was that they had a photo booth inside. I wasn't expecting that, and it was a fun little extra. They also have an outdoor bar area, which was nice because it gives you another place to hang out and take a break from the crowd. Overall, La Cita has that typical Downtown LA bar vibe busy, energetic, casual, and definitely geared toward having drinks, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. If you're already downtown and looking for a place to have some drinks and enjoy Spanish music, it's definitely worth checking out. We had a good time stopping in after dinner!l.

Unfortunately, almost nothing about the experience matched what we paid for. Doors didn't actually open until 4 PM. Once seated, no server came to our table until after 5 PM! So over an hour with no food, no drinks, and a TV that didn't even work for the first hour When our server finally showed up, we were told they needed half our reserved table back for a giveaway, so our party of 8 was squeezed into just 4 chairs. Our food didn't arrive until around 6:30 PM -- three hours after doors opened. And also ofc they only brought 4 plates for our party of 8 haha! To top it off, the $599 "minimum spend" wasn't what it seemed. We planned to hit it with drinks, but were told we had to order from a specific menu instead which ofc was lacking. Between that and added fees, our final bill came out to over $800. + the $55 reservation fee. Nice space, but the service and lack of transparency around pricing made this a really disappointing and expensive experience. Would not recommend booking a table reservation here. They really shouldn't host something like this when they're obviously not equipped

If you're a fan of themed music nights, it's definitely worth checking out. A few things could make the experience even better. The seating is all wooden and pretty hard, so it isn't the most comfortable if you're planning to hang out for a while. Also, it was very warm inside. With a packed crowd and a couple of drinks, it got hot fast. I wasn't even dancing, and I was sweating! Turning up the air conditioning would make a huge difference and keep everyone much more comfortable. The drinks were good--not the best I've ever had, but definitely enjoyable. I think with a few tweaks to the cocktails and a cooler atmosphere, this place would be outstanding. One tip for first-time visitors: it's a little tricky to find if you're unfamiliar with the area. The entrance is through the alley, not directly on the main street, and it's only about the second building in. Parking can be a challenge, but that's more about the neighborhood than the venue itself. Overall, I had a really good time, loved the music and atmosphere, and I'd consider coming back.
