Los Globos. ¡Nos volvemos a encontrar! I haven't set foot in here in well over a decade and wow does it feel almost exactly the same, from the date wood paneling to the lavish booths along the wall to the $9 sodas, $12 beers, $17+ cocktails and pre-made hot dogs. Popped in for two events that were both fun and went well. The Mr. Los Angeles Leather contest during LA Leather pride week conclude here and the lighting, sound and set up for the event was great. This was followed by a dance party that got pretty full. Very accomodating space, very lgbtq+ friendly. I had one beverage the entire time I was here. I couldn't justify having a second $17.50 vodka soda w/ tip for a $20 drink... Sir, them or ma'am this is outrageous... And I'm not talking about the 2003 Britney (Spears) track that was remixed during the night #DJofDjs While Los Globos is one of the oldest nightclubs (currently painted all black on the outside) in Greater Los Angeles, located off Sunset, just before the Silver Lake Blvd/Sunset Blvd interaction, a beat down... It's done little to make itself fresh or renovate. That said they have a stellar downstairs patio, tons of restrooms (even downstairs), solid security, personable staff, great djs an a cool system. I agree it's a good place to check out for special events, but not so much for beverages or eats. Parking is a journey (they do have valet, but as you can imagine it's not exactly complimentary) - you can get lucky with street if you arrive a lot earlier than event start times, loads of walkable places open to eat before 9:30 pm. I would come back for the special events I attend and select others, but would absolutely plan ahead. I completely spaced on why I haven't frequented this Silver Lake rough around and inside the edges spot. They do have other areas including an upstair loft/club, but this always has a line and is at capacity on their busy nights (Thursday through Saturday).

0/5 Stay Far Away There was a massive leak from the ceiling that looked like it was coming from the upstairs bathroom. I pointed it out to a manager because there were visible cracks and water pouring down. He said maintenance had been called and assured me the ceiling "definitely wouldn't collapse," which was not reassuring at all. Downstairs was disgusting. There was vomit all over the floor, and when I told security, he just nodded. I reminded him that it was biohazardous, and he said he would tell the barback. Thirty minutes later it was still there. To make matters worse, the lines outside were completely chaotic. We waited in the wrong line for an hour after security told us it was correct, only to find out later it wasn't. The event host gave no clear directions, and multiple events were happening on the same night, making the entire experience frustrating and disorganized. I do not recommend this bar for anything. It is unsafe, unclean, and poorly managed from top to bottom.

Parking: 34.08386° N, 118.27459° W I parked on N Vendome St, on the side of the venue and arrived about an hour early and was lucky enough to snag a spot, but my sisters parked in the parking lot just west of the venue and didn't have to pay anything. Getting here was an interesting drive. I exited Rampart and went all the way up to Sunset and made a left turn on Vendome. Making a left on Sunset during rush hour is stressful so if you can take side streets up I'd recommend it. FIrst time at Los Globos was on Tuesday, March 4th and it was for The Moth Podcast event. Honestly, with all the lights on, she's kind of boring, but I know this place held so many club events and concerts back in the day so it has my respect. The bathrooms are down stairs in the basement and the walls are covered with flyers which makes me think two things: hella cool and how many people have drunkenly fallen down these steep stairs and injured themselves? Glad to report the restrooms were CLEAN! The venue itself isn't the smallest venue I've been in, but it definitely isn't big. It was enough for the Moth Podcast and we sat in the booth towards the back left and had a fine time. I definitely need to come back when its functioning as a club and try their best damn tacos on the patio. The night I went, they were selling slices of Costco pizza which is not the same.

Lighting and sound are State of art. Also has a visual wall on main stage. If you are watching a live event, there's not a bad area.

I've came here with friends twice. It's a spacious multistory venue with some bars and dance floors! Both nights I came the concerts were vey fun with very different artists and crowds in attendance. My friends and I came here most recently for my friends show. While we were hanging out til it was our friends' turn to perform we got some drinks. They drinks are the reason why I can't give this place 5 stars. If I'm paying $15 each for a cocktail I'd like the cup to be filled especially if it's already only an 8oz cup. The drink was pretty mid and really turned me off from wanting to order any more $15 cups for just a few sips worth of poorly crafted cocktails. The performers and DJ's here are great and have put on a great show for both times I've came, I just think I'd try drinking at other places prior to coming here for more drinks.

You should call and ask. Having never been there, I called (at 11:45 am on a Tuesday) for general information (parking, best time to arrive, cover charge,) and spoke to a gentleman who politely answered my questions.

With sounding judgmental....it's just hard to tolerate a bunch of satanist partying above your head on the roof....are the managers so greedy that they're willing to exchange divination space for money?

Kiss Kiss is a ""speakeasy"" style club in K-town (parking theoretically available on side streets + metered though you're better off using rideshare) that neighbors another ""speakeasy"" style club around the corner. What's changed about Kiss Kiss? Drink prices for one! They've multiplied by 1.5x at least (!) and now they seemingly do not limit capacity at the club because we felt like we were in a can of sardines in there. The bartenders are still nice and polite at least. The music is also not at all any good anymore. We came on Halloween night because (1) we are familiar w/ Kiss Kiss and (2) we figured K-town was less chaotic than WeHo. This is where we learned they had tickets for sale at the door to get in (please brace yourselves,,,, it was an astounding $45......). We sucked it up and paid (our mistake we would soon learn). The night itself was advertised as a 70's disco Halloween event. At NO POINT in the entire night was 70s music played as every. single. song. was synth/house music. At the most maybe 4 songs were synth/house/EDM remixes of 70s music. Not to mention!!! They only played 1 Halloween song all night! The only positive from the night was the decor was nice. Security guards at the bathroom side make you leave your drink "under their watch" while you use the restroom. I stayed behind and switched with my friend to keep a constant eye on our drinks because the man on duty was doing everything BUT watching people's drinks!! In a town where women are known to be roofied frankly quite often is insane to me. TLDR; Cover fee is $$, drinks are $$, place is so packed you're bumping into people ever 5 seconds, security is useless, do not come here.

It was nearly impossible to move, no matter where you went it was packed like sardines. Getting 1 drink took 20 minutes each time (mind you ONE BEER is gonna cost you $10) It was so packed everyone was spilling and dropping their drinks everywhere. I had someone drop a glass next to my feet not once, but TWICE. I had SHARDS OF GLASS IN FEET, BLEEDING- and nobody came to clean the glass or provide any assistance to me. I was stepping on glass for the whole rest of the night. I informed workers about the broken glass yet nobody ever came to clean it. By the end of the night there was literally shards of glass everywhere. This is a safety concern and biohazard issue? And surely they must be violating max capacity laws. To top it all off, we reserved 1 table, which we were told upfront would cost $350, which we agreed to. The next day we find out they absolutely scammed us. They DOUBLE CHARGED US- leaving us with a $700 charge. It's a shame because the live band and burlesque performances are truly incredible, and this has the potential to be such an incredible and unique club in LA, but they are creating absolutely terrible experiences for their patrons by not implementing a max capacity. We even had a reservation and our party still had to wait outside upwards of 30 minutes. The bartenders and staff were rude. Security was unhelpful. Everything about my experience unfortunately was so negative I don't see myself ever returning here unless some serious changes are made. BE AWARE!!

If you're a fan of themed music nights, it's definitely worth checking out. A few things could make the experience even better. The entrance is through the alley, not directly on the main street, and it's only about the second building in. Parking can be a challenge, but that's more about the neighborhood than the venue itself. Overall, I had a really good time, loved the music and atmosphere, and I'd consider coming back. If you're looking for a unique spot with fun themed nights and good vibes, this place is definitely worth a visit.

We've come to quite a few reggae concerts here at the Echoplex…read more It's gotten better each time. So I needed to update my review. All the peps working here are super friendly and welcoming. Even the security guards are cool AF. Not like a lot of other venues where security acts like they are cops lol Not here they get you through the metal detectors pat down and look in purses to insure you don't have anything harmful. (As fast as they can) Inside is a large dance floor, two bars, and a few tables for those who don't want to stand. The bars have amazing bartenders who are super chill. The restrooms are very well maintained and have the sweetest older lady working. (Make sure yall show her some love) They also have a huge outside patio that is a smoking area. I've never seen any food here only drinks, beer, shots, and water for sale. Overall Echoplex is an awesome venue for concerts.
