The restricted standing area for the concert, with the bench in the back.

We paid extra for the Looking Glass and ate the included appetizers and ordered a drink and water. The food included a nice variety of cheeses and meats, that went well with the Ritz crackers. The fruit was fresh and delicious. I admit to eating a cookie or two. The bartender was very friendly, and we chatted for a bit. They had comfy booths and a few standup tables, in case it got crowded, which it didn't. The problem, for me, is we were expecting to be able to see while sitting and there was a misleading sign to add to that misunderstanding. I did have my cane, so when we finally understood that we had to leave the Looking Glass to a restricted area (for those of us that paid the extra $85 each), I was able to sit on the bench, and listen, or stand behind the people standing at the railing. My adult granddaughter was able to squeeze in to watch the concert below. Matt Hansen and Dean Lewis were both really good. We also enjoyed Dean talking about his life and struggles. I, for one, appreciate some colorful language. All in all it was a fun evening, but I won't be back. My granddaughter might, if they have someone that she wants to see.

Visited the bellwether to attend a McDonalds event! It was hard to find parking here. They closed off the lot. We ended up parking at a paid lot and walking. They have bag check at the entrance so the line moves a bit slow. Event was fun! Free goodies and food! They have an upper level and lower level.

Nice venue with a pretty elevated stage so view was ok if you stand off to the side when I came to see Ashe. There were bars in the back so it was convenient for people who needed drinks. Not a fan of the restroom as it was quite dark and was easily blocked when the venue was filling up. It was also really hard to exit the venue as the doors going out were small and everyone was pushing through.

First time ever coming to this new venue I believe it was something else prior as in a former music venue but either way it's my first time here Always sucks going to DTLa because of traffic and the streets are always so tricky there but that's not its fault it's LA Parking was easy and if you arrive early enough you can probably find street parking but parking is cheap and easy if you need to pay and safe Venue was easy enough to get into and as unassuming as it may seem on the outside it's a totally hip and very cool on the inside It's the perfect size for an intimate show which is my perfect kind of thing anytime I can see a performer or band Bathroom was clean and there was space as in you aren't feeling like a sardine and they have upstairs viewing if you can get it before anyone else arrives The view and sound anywhere is great except for the ADA which really seemed if you need it you aren't really getting a view from the stage it's very against stage right but otherwise the place is great can't wait to see another show Didn't drink or eat but bars seem quick and easy

The Bellwether, "This is 4 you!" My return to this space, now better than ever from it's journey as the former 333 Live/The Gold Room and even more formerly as Club Tatou/Tatou Supper Club was one I'll never forget. One of my boyfriend's favorite bands was playing here, Tuxedo (Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One + their incredible assortment of talented touring instrumentalist). All paired up along with their touring mate, the incredible dj meets songstress Gavin Turek. It was a neo-soul, disco funk, retro night of non stop beats, bumps and all the Tuxedo classics #FuxWithTheTux. I got a ticket the night before the show and joined bae as soon as I could make my way over after work. Taking the Metro over was perfect for both of us, me being on the LA Metro B (Redline) path and him along the Metro A (Blueline) path - Grand Ave Arts/Bunker Hill is the nearest station, but 7th and Metro connects with a few city lines that will get you fairly close to the Bellwether. Parking in the area is wild, so I highly recommend the metro and/or a ride share. It'll be a bit of steep an incline from all the nearest paths. I had to ditch a Lime Scooter just before getting here (definitely got my workout for the week in). If you do opt for the lot it's premium for their main lot (P1) and secure in one of their six parking area options (lots off Boylston St., 3rd St, 4th, and/or 5th) . The doors opened an hour or so before show start times, with bar areas in the main lobby room as well as restrooms as well as restrooms just on the other side of the main room where he magic happens. Some cool things and areas to note are: The vibes, the decor, the architecture and the brilliant colors. Camille's, the south bar, small, intimate and for artists, performers and VIPs only. The upstairs loft area has great views of the stage and main floor, but fills up really fast - I believe it's part of their VIP section with some actual seating, an addition bar, small bites and cool perks via the Looking Glass Lounge, available with upgrade. It can be a bit of jump from GA/General Admission. The Virginian x Hi-Fi Pizza Pi - is lounge/bar/restaurant open to all. The Patio is a cool trendy covered open air area - our friend Mike who we ran into hung out here as it got very warm, intimate and high energy between sets. The sweatshirts and jackets had to come off! It didn't feel like heat was on or on high for that matter, just a very great turn out for the show. Their patio is your friend for a beat of cool air. The main showroom has it's own bar in the back as well as restrooms to the other side of the show room, down the hallway. Great acoustics, super sound, lavish lights, with technicians as well as B.W. staff, plus security to make sure your night is a fun night. We jammed, grooved, boogey and had a truly amazing time. As Tuxedo would sing/say, "I'll toast to that!" It's an LA event venue with names big, small, small festivals, contests, drag shows and more. Drinks can be high, but very on pair with music venues/similar spaces throughout Greater Los Angeles. Purchasing tickets in advanced is available only in the Ticketmaster app, you can purchase physical tickets only on the night of a show and only if available. Our show wasn't sold out, so I'm sure some people took advantage, however a lot of shows do sell out here - so depending on what you'd like to enjoy at this choice venue... Ticketmaster away! Card only, cash free venue. Easy pickup or drop off in front. We caught an uber to 7th and Metro that arrive easy in designated areas in front. Definitely would go again and will! Ring in your showtime fun at The Bellwether LA/Los Angeles. Check out their calendar to see what's chiming up next.

Great service, amazing music, & the drinks were amazing but also kind of on the strong side if you're into that. felt safe, felt comfortable, & best of all spent the time with friends seeing Neon Trees

I went to The Bellwether recently for The Emo Night Tour event. I went with some pals. I had fun. The venue is nice. The sound and lighting were good. I dined at The Virginian. I had the Smash Burger Cheese Crispy. I liked my food. I parked at a lot on the same block as the venue.

The Bellwether has to be one of the coolest venues I have been to in DTLA. It is pretty big with several sections like an upstairs balcony for a better view of the musicians performing. I was really happy to be able to come here for the first time and to see Mates Fest no less. It felt amazing getting to see so many of my favorite musicians perform in one place. Even though the parking situation was a huge drag (there was not any free parking in the area, you have to either pay to park somewhere or park really far) the venue itself totally made up for it. Many of the workers seemed very inviting and were so friendly to us and everyone that was there. The stage area was comprised of a bottom floor and a top floor with a balcony. I didn't get the chance to go up there but I imagine the view was a lot better albeit further away from the stage. The view from the bottom can be a little rough since the stage isn't super elevated off the ground. If someone taller than you is standing in front of you, good luck. One thing that also really stood out to me was the lighting and the presentation of the musicians. It was honestly really cool and made the shows a lot better. In addition to this, the sound and everything was on point. A stellar night all around!

My friends and I attended the Deltron 3030 concert and had so much fun. This was my first time visiting this venue and was impressed with how nice it was. The security and bar staff were really nice and helpful. Bathrooms were really clean considering it was a sold out show and didn't leave feeling like I needed a tetanus shot. Lol!!. The upstairs area was cool too and lead out to a smoking area with a cool balcony view of Los Angeles. Would most definitely return to catch another show st this venue. Thank you Bellewether staff for a great night out.

We ended up here after leaving a movie early and saw the band Tuxedo. This a newer venue and I wonder what it used to be because it sits in this little corner just outside all the high rises in Downtown and has a nice view of the city from the restaurant. I have friends that worked here and knew people that have been before me and all I heard was that it's nice, but it gets really hot in there and the air circulation is bad. I will say I experience a little bit of that myself. I was on the second floor balcony for the first two songs and couldn't take it anymore and spent the rest of my time down on the floor by the doorway. It's much cooler down on the floor and you definitely feel the heat rising and getting stuck up on the balcony. What's great about this place is they have a connected restaurant that you access on the second floor. Just look for the EAT sign and you're in their ghost restaurant. You scan a barcode and order your food and get a text to pick it up at the counter. There's plenty of seating and if you sit by the window you get a nice view of the downtown high rises. We parked in the lot across from the venue and paid $15 and they closed half an hour after the show ended. I'd like to also note that the staff here are unbelievably nice! Everyone from the door guys to the ticket scanners to the bartenders were nothing but cordial to me and answered all of my questions. I'd rank this way higher than the Teragram Ballroom. Definitely would recommend seeing a show here.

Why am I just finding out about this gem?! I came for a Ziggy Marley concert a couple weeks ago. The ambiance was super soulful, with a more diverse crowd than I was expecting! The entrance and stairway were beautiful (and perfect for a photo opp). There is also additional standing and sitting room on the balcony for those who don't want to be in the big crowd. Now, let me get to my favorite part: the cafe upstairs! There is this adorable little cafe upstairs, with nice, comfy booths, a lovely view of DTLA skyscrapers, and a screen of the stage downstairs, so you can take a break without missing the show! We had no idea this was upstairs until we saw a girl pass by with the most delicious looking pizza! We asked where she got it, and she pointed upstairs. The pizza was DELECTABLE! That might single handedly have been the best slice of pizza I've eaten in all my time in Los Angeles. Not to mention the portions were HUGE! And $7! Where in Los Angeles can you get an enormous slice of quailty pizza for $7? I'll wait! I really enjoyed my time! Ziggy Marley was amazing and took down the house! Great vibes, yummy bites, and a good night! Hopefully I'll be back soon!

Came here to watch Belle and Sebastian with my partner and was super excited to check out this newish venue in LA. This venue is really nice and intimate. It kind of reminded me of a nicer version of The Glasshouse in Pomona. Everything is well maintained and the security and staff were nice and polite. There is also a restaurant upstairs, but we didn't get a chance to check it out. From the photos of other Yelpers here, it looks like it boasts some great views of DTLA as well. Parking is a bit hit or miss. We ended up parking in a lot for $15, but they close 30 minutes after the show, so you would have to rush out of there! I can't wait to check out more shows here in the future.

Couldn't stand at that bar and enjoy my drink -total joke!

I went to the Bellwether for the first time on 1/23. It's a nice venue, but the service leaves a lot to be desired!! Specifically, at the main bar opposite the music stage, the two women servers, before the show even started, refused to let me stand at the bar with my drink so I could check my email. The stated reason was that I was obstructing other people from getting a drink. This is a laughable concept in general, but especially so given that the place was empty, not just the bar itself, but the venue was probably only 25% filled at the time. Further, when you walked into the other bar just outside the music area, there were plenty of people standing at that bar, so clearly there was no real policy in place. I've been going to bars for 40 years, and I've never been to one where you couldn't sit or stand at the bar and enjoy your drink lol. Plus I've been to the Teragram many times which is owned by the same people, and never encountered this nonsense. And it wasn't just the absurdity of the stated "policy", if it in fact is even a policy of the venue, but the servers were rude and condescending about it!! I know this is a rock club, but you are still in the hospitality business and should treat your customers with respect! People should feel welcome, not hostility over resting their drink on a bar. PS, also skip the Looking Glass. Definitely not worth the $85. There was literally no one there. Why not lower the price and get people in there so you can sell them more drinks?

If we paid for parking with our tickets, does that mean we park at the venue somewhere?

Right across the street! Easy peesy.

Is there any seating, or is it all SRO? I'm not 26 anymore!

Most shows at The Bellwether are general admission, standing room only. If an event is seated, it will be clearly noted on the event page and within the ticket purchase process.

Where is the best place to park for this venue? I drove by today and saw like 4 different tiny lots and a parking structure down the way. Thanks

I recommend taking the B Line train to 7th & Metro station then walking over - its about a 10 minute walk !

    Is this place cannabis friendly?

No even though its legal in CA

Do they have a parking lot for attendees? If so do they charge a fee? Also I purchased separate tickets to enter a "Looking Glass Lounge" room, just wanted to know what that room is like if anyone has been in there? Was it worth it?

Hey so I'm going to the bellwether this November and I'm curious is there seats up on the balcony or is just all standing room? Also is it worth paying for the vip to go up top and have private bar and restroom?

The balcony is all standing room. Unsure about your vip question, didn't experience that myself.

They gave me more information on how while they have their own rules and regulations, each event also have their own set of rules and regulations which makes sense. Spencer a General Manager was very concerned about my experience and validated my experience. Spencer was professional, listened to my experience, but mostly gave me a plan of action of what they can do moving forward. I appreciate the management there. Also I was not paid nor did I take a compensation of any type for this update. It was very upsetting that I got kicked out of the venue because I had a medical emergency and was trying to get out of the crowd. I had to go over the front of the barricade as that was the fastest way for me to get out. I was not told where medical was located only that because I went over the barricade I needed to leave, even though I had a vip access. I was 100% sober, I was non combative, I was very polite. I was there with my wife which is why I got vip access so she didn't have to be down in the crowd. Despite telling the security, calmly, that I had an emergency and I was there with my wife I was still escorted out. But not out entirely as he just showed me the door and the security walked away, I could have easily just went back in. This is also something that is concerning because if I were a combative person, for them not to walk me out fully is concerning as a person opposite of my demeanor could have easily gone back in. I think two things should happen Explicitly put signs that state "if you go over a barricade regardless of emergency or medical emergency you will be escorted out." If people are being escorted out, they need to be monitored and ensure they actually get escorted out. If a person says they have a medical emergency the staff should be conscious of that and escort the person to medical not out of the venue. I had a medical emergency last night and was kicked out vs escorted to medical. I'm glad that I'm okay, it's just unsatisfactory the way I was treated when I explicitly said I had an emergency.

This really cool intimate venue has been around for a while as the spot where old and new bands from Band of Skulls, Unwritten Law, NIIS, SCOWL, Joker's Hand and Destroy Boys (right before they got bigger, opening for Blink 182 on tour!) have all played at. The sounds, acoustics and everything are all dynamically set up by their amazing crew of technicians and staff. Custodians are on their toes keeping things clean around here as well. Security around here are very fair. They don't trip about moshers and stage divers as long as they keep things peaceful and fun! Huge plus! Parking can be a toss up, but that's normal and the price around here isn't bad. Lines usually wrap around the building and into the residential area nearby with peoples' houses. Parking is street or there is a lot across which I think charges way too much - 30 bucks for the evening in this area is high way robbery. This review is regarding The Alchemist & DJ Premier World Tour. First time at this venue. FIVE…read morethings I look for and hope for at my age (44) when going to see live shows: 1) Seat view. Here, VIP balcony or Lower Balcony is the only way to go. 2) Sound. Here, especially on the balcony, bass and clarity for a hip hop show of this caliber was on point. 3) Cleanliness and Space. Restrooms were very clean, well tended to and sufficient with enough stalls so no lines stealing from your time to enjoy the show. Whole venue has simple, real class to it. 4) In & Out with ease. Security smooth, plenty of exit options, including an elevator with an attendant. I don't like feeling crowded or like I'm gettin' caught in a cow herd. The Hollywood Bowl is the only venue I'd compromise this preference for simply because it's the only venue worth that sacrifice. 5) Parking. Lots of parking but get there early enough and check for other events the same day as your show. We made the mistake of not coming early enough to account for the Laker game that day. I had a great time, especially for it being my first time there.

I came here twice for two concerts, the most recent one being Machine Girl's tour with Bonnie…read moreBaxter/Kill Alters and Lightning Bolt (this is a late review). I enjoyed this show WAY more than the previous show with Dayseeker, but this is mainly because I am more familiar with the artist, so this would be the second time that I got to see Matt and their crew perform twice. The venue itself is really nice and modernized, and is located in an entertainment hub, so you will see a good amount of bars and other entertainment venues nearby. I do know that it is not a ground-floor venue, so you have to climb stairs or take an escalator/elevator. I personally do not buy concessions here due to me being cheap, but they offer free water at the bars, which I personally like, as most venues force you to purchase bottled water or use a drinking fountain. The cheap tickets are all part of the upstairs seated area, while the lower floor area costs more. From what I know, there aren't really any assigned seats, so it's first come first serve, but you will have people standing up during the main act, of course, because concertgoers will be concertgoers. The seats are very comfortable, bathrooms are accessible, and people who need ADA seating get their own separate section. The location, given that it's in DTLA, is so accessible by public transit that I can't even name all of the buses that run nearby off the top of my head. You can also take the 2 nearby trains, the A and the E, and get off at Pico station the same way you would for a Lakers, Sparks, or Kings game, Crypto.com Arena concert, or LA Convention Center event. I am somewhat familiar with the DTLA area, and I recommend concertgoers, if they feel comfortable doing so, to explore cheaper eating options away from the area if they plan to save money-- I do this all the time. I know that there is a Denny's, Wendy's, and Fatburger down the street. You have Chick Fil-A, Chipotle, 7-Eleven, and Jollibee along 7th Street by the BLOC area. You can also ride the train or bus to go further out-- there is a Dave's Hot Chicken by Little Tokyo Japanese Plaza that I love going to all the time. Dutch Bros by USC just opened up, by the California ScienCenter.
