It's my first time working a job that requires safety boots--yeah, fml. So, I went in with a work voucher and immediately got helped by one of the workers who pointed me in the direction of the boots specified. There was some confusion amongst them regarding whether carbon toes were truly non-composite toes but all of that got cleared up by the guy at the register. He saved my feet from being chemically dissolved since I'll be handling volatile raw materials for pharmaceutical manufacturing! Yay! I get to keep my skin on my feet! All in all, I walked out with boots that my company paid for and went merrily about my day. read more

Went in for new steel toes for work- was immediately greeted by the associates. They were very friendly and helpful. They didn't linger so there was no pressure to buy anything. They answered all my questions and gave me suggestions based off what I was looking for and prioritizing in regards to comfortability etc. Ismael helped me and made my experience quick and easy and I went with his suggestion and I'm so happy about it! They're attentive and caring with respect to each customers. A + for answering smelly questions about socks and materials and moisture wicking properties . They can make mistakes so good to check ahead of time if you need to use a voucher from your construction work. Came here about a week or two ago since I had a boot voucher, I definitely recommend this store after the shit service at the Chula Vista location, this one was the best service I've had. It was dead in the store when I went but the employee assisted me immediately and was extremely friendly, his name was Ethan. I found the boots I wanted and I tried them on, he even recommended some options for insoles which you need for work boots if you're going to standing all day. Walked over to a shoe after 10 minutes looking around a lady comes up and says can I help you "I said yes I would like these shoes and I have a work voucher." I wish I got the me of the guy who helped us! The best I can describe is the handle bar mustache and tattoos on his arm and finger and the cool black watch! I'm usually good at getting names but totally spaced on that this day! Anywho, he was fantastic! Took the time to discuss my girlfriends specific needs in a workbook and made sure she picked the right boot! He was able to easily relate to the customer and tell us what he has learned and experienced himself. We truly appreciate his honesty and knowledge! Selene was fantastic in helping me today, and is one of the best retail professionals I've encountered anywhere. What really impressed me and made me trust her was her commitment to finding me the perfect shoe instead of just getting me checked out ASAP. Selene is friendly, professional, and honest. Her keen eye can notice if the shoe is just half a size too big, or if it needed an insert for a better fit, or even if the leather was too hard for the bend of my foot. This lady knows her stuff. We went through five or six different pairs of shoes and the one I ended up buying -- along with the shoe inserts she recommended -- felt like it was custom-made for my feet. I remember her being fantastic to her coworker and walking them through a complicated transaction when I came in for a previous purchase, and I am so pleased that Selene was the one to help me today. Because of Selene, I would recommend this Boot World to everyone. The store is located in a shopping center with lots of parking and I felt at ease with their sanitary procedures. They have hand sanitizer at the door, they enforce limited capacity, and most importantly, they encouraged some customers in flipflops to buy some cheap socks before trying shoes on with their bare feet. read more

I'm very disappointed with the Boot World on Convoy St overall customer service. I bought a pair Ugg's for my wife's birthday present. She wore the shoes twice within 10 days of purchase just inside house. I noticed that the outer seems on the side of the boot were starting to come out with fur. It's obviously a defective shoe. We attempted to exchange the shoe for a non-defective pair and we were told they would not accept the exchange and we needed to come back tomorrow and speak with the manager Erica to see about getting an exchange. I feel this unacceptable when you spend $200 on a pair of boots. I believe that Ugg's has a 1 yr warranty guarantee from purchase date. I will never buy another pair of boots from this location again and I would suggest you avoid this store as well! read more

She made a couple of recommendations of boots that might work for me and help me figure out my size. I decided to buy the Thorogood 6" Moc Toe Boots Because they are made in the US,Goodyear welted and are union made. I have been going to Boot World off and on for a couple years. But recently I had a very bad experience. The last couple times I've been there Erica has helped me and it's been such a bad visit. I went in for a new pair of work boots and she took a picture of my feet as I was trying the boots on. I could see her flash go off and when I called her out on it she said it was normal for them to take pictures to better help decide what kind of boots to get us. They've got a good selection of boots here. Western boots, work boots, Ugg boots. That's why it's called Boot World. They also have sandals and slippers. If they don't have the size you need they'll check their other stores and have them sent to their location. That's great service! The employess are very helpful. They're knowledgable about what they sell and will help you find the right style for what you need. They stand by their products too, T. got a pair of work boots once and after awhile the zipper broke due to a design flaw. I couldn't find the receipt, but since his name and the purchase were in their system they replaced the boots. They sell other things here as well-cowboy hats, baseball caps, belts, shirts, etc...
