This isn't so much aimed at this store (although I bought all 3 here) as it is the Timberland boot company itself. I've owned 3 pairs of Timberland Pro boots and the first 2 pairs were great, best boots I've ever worn and I'm very hard on them. The last pair I bought didn't even last a year before I started having problems with tearing and breaking laces. I was replacing laces within 2 weeks at a time. I tried different types & brands to no avail. I reached out to customer service off of the Timberland website and their answer was to send me 3 pairs of laces and a $15 coupon off my next pair. These boots are over $200 a pair and that was their solution? The company won't stand behind their products but expect you to be loyal. Quality and customer service is lost. read more

This store is well kept and organized but the customer service needs improvement. There is a difference between being close by to assist the customer and trailing them like shoplifters. I didn't appreciate every move that my husband and I made being scrutinized like we were stealing considering everytime we come to this store we spend hundreds of dollars. And I can't help but wonder if they only do this to the ethnic customers because I've never once noticed them trailing any Caucasians customers in the same manner. Everyone working at this Boot Barn is very friendly and helpful, and they have a great selection of cowboy boots and western wear. For me shopping for boots and shoes in person is a must. Even though some online stores have free shipping including returns if you don't like the fit, I'm not inclined to order the 6 different pairs I think I like online, just to try them all on and send 5 or all 6 back. This is the one area where I don't see myself going away from B&M even if the cost is higher. Your feet are too valuable to buy cheap shoes, or wear shoes for style that don't fit well. I came in on three consecutive lunch breaks trying on and re-trying on boots to make sure I liked the style and fit. I started out with 4 or 5 different boots until I narrowed it down to 2 and finally settled on a pair of Ariats. A couple of the boots I really liked initially just didn't fit my foot well at all so I'm doubly glad I didn't go the internet route! In the end the boots I wanted were advertised as part of the $20 off Ariat sale online, but weren't part of the sale in store. The woman working the counter said that the promotions can be different, but she double checked in her system and matched the online sale price for me. Their prices are on par with other online stores for boots. I can't think of more than 2 other stores (besides the other Boot Barn locations) in the area that even sell cowboy boots and neither have near the selection. Two stars are for the large selection of clothes, boots, and hats and friendly floor workers. Negative one star for not having a selection for big and tall. Negative two stars for not honoring the price on the item I specifically came to the store for. A hat was marked down form $29.99 to $11. Negative 3 stars for the only excuse I received which was, "it must have ended". I think this is the part when you seek out a manager or someone in charge that can honor the price as more than one style of hat was marked down. Only 3 stars because when I arrived nobody greeted me and I had to find the boots I was looking for on my own, it wasnt until I asked for help that I was warmly greeted. Customer service is key in any business, unfortunately there was a lack of it here. Also, the young lady who was helping me was completely unaware of their inventory. The reason I gave this store one star is based solely on customer service. The merchandise is cute. The issues I encountered on my recent visits were lacking in efficiency, and a customer friendly staff. It's imperative that I mention not all the ladies who work there are guilty of these issues. If you like boots, this is the place! there is a boot for every man, woman and child here, with pretty decent prices. Although I just came in for shoestring for my boots, I found myself wandering the boot aisles, with thoughts of Ostrich skin boots, Durango and other pretty cool looking boots. If you're a little smaller like I am, boots are your savior, providing a nice boost in height and stature, as you look lean and mean with that new look. If you have never worn boots, you should really try them out. I've worn cowboy boots off and on for over 30 years, and have never had sore feet after all day working or evening night outs. I would recommend starting with some Durangos, which fit the best for me. I'm told your feet are not exactly alike, so measure up and try both sides, since the boot goes up half way up your calf. The current question with the new pants in style is to tuck or cover. The Jury is still out, but it will definitely get some conversation going with women, who love their men in boots! read more

Worst Boot Barn I've been to in the area. Visit the Norco or Orange location instead. Employees were snarky and rude.

How does this place stay in business? The sales clerks are so arrogant and unfortunatly for them my money goes elsewhere. Three times in the last year have tried to buy some Luchesses from them looking for a bit of a deal and been told to kick rocks "we sell full price here". I was searching for a store that carried good quality hats when i came upon Boot Barn. As i walked into the store, i was greeted kindly and was asked if there was anything i needed. I told them what i was looking for and they pointed to me where the hats were located. I was having some trouble finding the right sized hat, but one of the workers noticed that and helped me find the perfect fit. This boot barn is fantastic. It seems like a really new location. Boot Barns tend to be pretty standard in their selection. This location stayed open just a bit later so that I could finish my transaction (I bought a new belt) and leave instead of just closing up before I could check out. I have 2 reviews...online order & San Dimas location. Online ordering is horrible. I ordered 6 items online that were all scheduled to be delivered by mid Dec. I receive an email confirming everything. I then receive an email thanking me for my order...2 times, 2 different order numbers for the exact same order. I try to call their customer service number that is provided on their email that instructs me to call if I have any questions/problems. I have been calling it for about a week. It stays busy or it eventually disconnects. I then begin receiving emails that partial shipments are being made. I then receive an email that my credit card was declined. I call my credit card company. Nothing is wrong with my card nor was anything declined. I continue to call boot barn with no success. I then receive an email that a delivery date for one item is delayed. I try calling again. Busy or disconnected again. I then drive to San Dimas & let the manager know ...politely because she has nothing to do with it. Her response...."I don't know anything about online ordering." Really BOOT BARN???? You're customer service is the WORST that I've ever experienced!!!! Very disappointed. My parents have bought from Boot Barn my whole life, my husband & I have always bought from Boot Barn, & now my adult children buy from Boot Barn. San Dimas (12/21/17): My friend bought a $235.00 hat. After purchasing it he asks the sales people behind the counter if they could shape it for him. They said, "No! Our machine is broken indefinitely." He asked if they could have the Boot Barn in Upland do it? "No! Their guy only comes in once in a while!" I asked if they could call them to be sure and they just ignored us. Then, one smart ass girl hands us a flyer and tells us to go, "....see this guy in El Monte....he shapes hats out of his garage." He stated he wouldn't have even bought the hat if we knew they wouldn't shape it. He started asking about refunds. Finally, an employee, the only polite one there, says, "If you are willing to drive I will Call the Broken Horn (15 minutes away off the 10 in Baldwin Park) and see if you can get it shaped there." So, she does and we go. Well the Broken Horn is about 6 times the size of the Boot Barn, has at least a 1,000 items they don't, has a larger, much, boot-hat-clothing selection and more. And, I could have bought my $235.00 hat for $35.00 bucks less. Plus, the people were nicer and understand the meaning of customer service. So, I guess in the end "Thank You" Boot Barn.....I am now a loyal and happy Broken Horn customer for life. Your loss!! read more

Great store! I love the smell of leather and denim! Only problem is I spend too much every time I walk in there. They always seem to have nice ladies working there as well! I didn't have the receipt, but I did still have the price tag that was torn and they were still able to make the exchange. Boot Barn in San Dimas. I was at your store December 14 to purchase a pair of Lucchese exotic boots. I was told that I can special order them but I had to take them unseen. That is not good service. It is to much money to gamble with. To back this up, my daughter was buying a pair of western boots and she told them that the color did not match. One was dark and the other was lighter in color. They seem to not care as long as they could push them off on to her. There was no effort to try to solve the problem. The person that I think was the manager was involved also. I could be wrong about the manager part. I have been buying boots in this store for over thirty years. I will not go back to the Boot Barn in San Dimas, CA. First off I'm never going here again! Everybody here needs customer service training from the management all the way to the basic employee. Of all the years I have been going there the only person who was respectful and curteous was a female named Marisol. Every time me and my wife go in there we waste usually $200+. And u would think they would be nice to us. I always take my hat to get shaped and the girl who we always give business to always says, " the machine is off and it takes too long to warm up" really? The female knows us and knows that I rodeo. I'm not stupid those machines warm up in like 10 mins. Don't lie to me. If u don't want to do it just say it! Then she always say next time your gonna come in call us so we can have it ready. Mind u i live 40 mins away. So yesterday I decided to call before I left my house. The manager answers and I told her that I was on my way and asked if she can turn it on. She replied by saying our store is busy and we might not get to it, each associate is busy with somebody. I though really? Every time we go in there there's like more associates doing nothing, trying clothes on while the 2 customers don't get attended. So now we get to the store and there's 3 cars in the parking " 3 cars!" We walk in and as I thought it was empty. If u ask me they lied to me like always and that's not good business! I'm looking for clothes and an employee asks me if I need help. So I told her I needed my hat shaped and she said I can leave it. I said I live 40mins away and didn't want to leave it then she said the girl who knows how to shape hats is out to lunch I said I'll wait So she asked the rude manager and came back and said the manager says its too busy and when she gets back from lunch she might not get it. Got an awesome experience. Went in with my sister and teresa helped us out. I believe that was her name. She has reddish hair, a great personality and a bright smile to go along with it. Anytime we had a question she answered it and made sure are experience was at its finest. When we were were cashing out there was another employee waiting to leaving I believe and I smiled at her and she just gave me a dirty look, rolled her eyes and walked away. This company does not stand by it's commitments, then lies about it. I bought my wife a pair of boots there, they did not fit so she took them back. They did not have anything in stock at the time she liked, so got a credit voucher. When she later took the voucher to this store they would not honor it - we even called the owner of the company and he kept insisting that we had already cashed in the voucher. He had no proof, and since we still had the voucher this was just a lie. Keep away from this outfit - there are lots of good boot stores online. read more

Zero stars ... Boot Barn San Dimas sucks. I brought my boots in over 4 months ago which were less than 6 months old. The person I spoke to said they had to call the Manager the next day to see about repair or replacement because they were over their warranty and asked me to leave the boots until then. They wrote my name and number down on a piece of scrap paper and said they would call me. I believed them. I was not given a receipt or any proof that I left the boots with them, but had no reason not to believe they would call me the next day. Now, after 4 months of going in it appears my boots are not there. I have yet to receive a call from the "Manager", and have no boots. Last night I went in and spoke with someone who claimed to be the actual Manager, who wanted to know why I didn't call. I told her I came in, and each time my information was taken on a piece of scrap paper. She basically blamed me for not getting a receipt for leaving my boots, and said she would have to call her District Manager. She assured me she would call me today, after taking my information down on the same stupid scratch paper as the previous 6 times I was in. I will never ever shop at Boot Barn San Dimas. I urge you all not to. You never know how unprofessional and and how poor customer service is until you have a problem. Again, no call from the dumb ass person claiming to be the Manager; not even a follow up call and no follow through. Oh, yeah, they say boots can never walk out the door without being signed for.
