I had a frustrating experience in a store today. I ordered a pair of boots online and they came to me in a box brand new, but I needed a different size. I was unable to exchange them, and had to return them, wait for the refund, and then buy another pair. I ordered them online again, and ordered ship to store. When I got to the store, I received boots that were covered in scuff marks, the bottom of the boots were dirty, and they were covered in creases. Even though I selected ship to store, I received used boots on the wall. I requested new boots from the factory, and received old boots from the wall. I asked if I could order new boots again, and they said nothing is guaranteed with Boot Barn. They were nice enough to condition the boots, and clean off the scuff marks the best they could but when spending $230 on boots, this was not the greatest experience. I feel like I got used boots with no guarantee I would receive new ones even if I reordered again. If you're looking for new boots, but aren't sure about sizing. I would recommend using Boot Barn as a company to try on boots. For purchases, order the boots directly from the manufacture. Because as the associate stated, "There's no guarantee you will receive new boots with Boot Barn." read more

I loved this store but they have a new employee i think she's a supervisor with glasses, she's so RUDE!!!! You ask her something and she always has an attitude. I bought a pair of boots online that I wasn't super in love with, so I went to a different location in Orange to buy a different pair (it was the closest store that had the ones I wanted.) Well the level of service there was awful, employees were rude & incapable of handling an exchange. I decided to go to the San Dimas location & the employees there were SO MUCH MORE inviting! Took my hat in for a cleaning and the younger girls that worked there were very nice and tried to be as helpful as they could but another older gal named Lisa I believe came over to try and help them clean my hat and she has her back turned and exclaims "this thing is grungy!" And how much of a mess it is... the younger gals were obviously surprised and kind of stuttered and let her know that the customer(myself) was right there, and she turns around, looks at me, and says "well it is". Was my hat dirty? Yeah. That's why I brought it in for a cleaning. It had dirt and some dog hair on it... It surely wasn't "grungy" though. And to exclaim how "grungy" it is and then turn and look at me and say "well it is" is pretty rude. They walked by the other Hispanic man and me multiple times, and when the man asked a question, the employee acted like she didn't understand "do you have 9s" and walked away. Love my boots I buy here. For concerts, horseback riding lessons. Or just wearing to feel invincible. I have great memories of visiting my uncle the cowboy as a kid. Wearing boots brings all that back. It's ok to wear designer brands one day & cowgirl gear the next. The t-shirts I buy here or online are cute for concerts. I also bought a dress online. I love this Boot Barn! I've found a few things here myself, including supplies to keep my boots nice, but I always go here to buy gifts and clothing for family members. The staff is always so nice and they're so helpful. Any time I've had questions, they've been more than willing to help me. I have never felt so uncomfortable shopping somewhere in my whole life . I walk in and immediately am being stared at like I shouldn't be here . I walk around and employees tend to follow me and ask if I'm okay a million times . I head over the the belt rack and one employee runs over and gets inches from me and starts to tend to a rack of belts that looks like nothing needs fixing and again asks if I'm okay . I work retail and know that the employees behavior was pointing towards them thinking I'm going to steal something . I'm literally wearing like $10k in jewelry and a Rolex , like what do you think I need to steal for ? If I could give this place negative stars I would!!! The workers are so RUDE! They would look at me if I was going to take something! I'm Hispanic I'm from Idaho tho & every time I would walk somewhere else someone would just have eyes on me! No one asked me how I was doing or if I needed anything and a white couple passed me and they asked them if everything was okay if they needed help. My boyfriend bought a belt and the cashier name LISA didn't even say hi, nothing just told us what the total was. I over heard how she spoke to the next white customer and was all friendly! There is a manager named Kelly there who I've heard multiple times talking down to her associates unprofessionally in front of customers.

Only rating a two because staff member Diana. (I had to ask other staff what her name was cause she also wasn't wearing a name badge.) While waiting in line she had an unwelcoming look. I get it. Some people chronically have a look like this. We asked her to use the restroom for our 10 year old who was on the verge of an emergency.. she told me it was out of order. We're regulars and staff normally allows our littles to use the restroom. While being at checkout she had a nasty attitude with everyone. If customer service isn't for you.. go work at a warehouse where you don't have to deal with people. read more

Bad service, went in yesterday to purchase some boots for my daughter and myself. Nobody helped us and when I had chosen the boots I asked the cashier if they could hold the boots for me at the front. They did hold them but as I was looking around all I got was bad looks and no one helped me. I decided not to get my boots I only got my daughters boots and some jewelry and when I told the cashier I wasn't getting the boots she gave me the dirtiest look ever and attitude. Definitely not going there ever again. I know we all have bad days but this was beyond rude. And it seems all the employees there have the same attitude. I normally go shopping here with my husband and never had a issue but Friday 5/20 my husband when in around noon to try on boots for work and basically make sure he finds the right ones especially because he needs them for work and we know after they're used we cannot return them. Well my husband was just trying some for a while and google other similar ones to see if he could find better ones so he took a while in the isle. Well he mention that the girl kept on checking up on him and at some point made him feel uncomfortable. He mention to me that the worker told him that he should of brought snacks since he is taking a while. Uuuhhh if i was there trust me I would of said something back but even if that was a joke you should never pressure someone to hurry up or rush!! There's a difference between making sure the customer is doing okay vs rushing them to get out. Instead of just standing and talking to other co workers why don't you guys actually help the customers. trust me maybe you guys will make more money to bonus or maybe clean up a little bit. Its a dusty store too. I wanna contact the district manager but I know maybe the SM will see this and maybe re coach the team to do better or start hiring a new team. read more

Everyone working at this Boot Barn is very friendly and helpful, and they have a great selection of cowboy boots and western wear. For me shopping for boots and shoes in person is a must. Even though some online stores have free shipping including returns if you don't like the fit, I'm not inclined to order the 6 different pairs I think I like online, just to try them all on and send 5 or all 6 back. This is the one area where I don't see myself going away from B&M even if the cost is higher. Your feet are too valuable to buy cheap shoes, or wear shoes for style that don't fit well. I came in on three consecutive lunch breaks trying on and re-trying on boots to make sure I liked the style and fit. I started out with 4 or 5 different boots until I narrowed it down to 2 and finally settled on a pair of Ariats. A couple of the boots I really liked initially just didn't fit my foot well at all so I'm doubly glad I didn't go the internet route! In the end the boots I wanted were advertised as part of the $20 off Ariat sale online, but weren't part of the sale in store. The woman working the counter said that the promotions can be different, but she double checked in her system and matched the online sale price for me. Their prices are on par with other online stores for boots. I can't think of more than 2 other stores (besides the other Boot Barn locations) in the area that even sell cowboy boots and neither have near the selection. If you have a return, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. More specifically the manager KELLY. I brought in a shirt to return ( i never took it out of the bag from the time i bought it in the store ) and Ms Kelly said, "it smells like laundry detergent". I heard her say this phrase to other customers who had a return as well. Perhaps there is something wrong with Kelly? The shirt in question never came out of the bag that it was purchased in. Horrible manager and she may need psychiatric help if she's smelling an odor that is not there.
