Walked in there today and although I got a greeting I got no help . I could see that most of the girls there were busy talking and although they could see me looking at jeans for 20 minutes not a one came over. I wish they would have cause I really needed help. Yes I could have asked but is it not their job ?? Maybe I didn't look the type that would have required their attention? I felt devalued and unwelcome. I finally had to ask an older maybe manger woman a question and I got attitude! Not very friendly at all. I'll be taking my business other places from now on. If you want a great customer experience then don't go here. Customer service is non existent. They don't welcome you when you walk in the store nor do they offer any help while you are browsing the store. I wish I could say this was due to it being very busy, but there were more people working than there were customers in the store. I shopped at this location and the sale associate Andrea was very rude to me and her coworker. A kind young lady was helping me find boots, and I could tell she was new but I was very patient with her, Andrea walked over and rudely interrupted our conversation trying to show me different boots that I had no interest in. I could tell she had no respect for her coworker and her intentions seemed to be to make the lady feel dumb for not knowing everything. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the lady who I initially spoke with kept her calm in a stressful situation, props to her! read more

The employees are awesome. I had a conversation with Linda about boots and how to properly break them in as well as maintain them. I love boots and big belt buckles. I'm impressed when I meet someone who actually loves what they do. You can tell that Linda loves what she does. On my way out I searched for her and gave her a hug. My son needed a pair of steel toe boots so we drove to the brick-and-mortar Boot Barn instead of ordering online so that we could have his feet measured for the correct shoe size. We waited for assistance after we entered the store but we were never approached. I know we could have printed off a shoe size chart online but I felt the Brannock foot measuring device that we had used before would be more accurate. I approached an employee that was walking across the sales floor and asked for the device but was informed that they do not let customers use this in-store, "'Cause of Covid." I can understand not leaving the Brannock devices out on the sales floor but the device is metal and can be cleaned with 70% Rubbing Alcohol - "Isopropyl alcohol or rubbing alcohol with at least 70 percent alcohol - undiluted - will kill coronavirus on surfaces in about 30 seconds." Instead, my son had to try on multiple pairs of boots to figure out his boot size. Handling multiple pairs of leather boots and placing your foot inside of the boots is more Covid friendly than using the Brannock device that can be sanitized? We settled on a pair of boots and I asked the woman standing behind the register if a particular coupon code could be applied toward the purchase. She responded, "Those are for on-line purchases only." Okay... I move to a seat and pull up the Boot Barn website and discover that the same pair of boots are priced more than $15 less online. I place the order and use the coupon code and an additional $20 is taken off of our order. I select the free shipping option and the boots will be delivered to our house. Yes, my son needs to wait a few days to get his boots but he saved nearly $40. I shop at brick and mortar stores whenever I can but I will not shop at a store that does not offer what a brick and mortar store is suppose to offer - customer service and value. As a previous small business owner, I was taught that if a customer comes into your store with the full intention of spending $200 and they leave spending nothing then it is time to reevaluate the employees. A brick-and-mortar retail outlet is only as good as it's employees. Why are they driving your customers to shop online? read more

Just visited this place to buy some boots and some other stuff for a friend on her birthday. Not the warmest or friendliest place on the planet. No one asked to help. Once my friend picked out her boots we were walking around with them, looking at other stuff and one of the employees, who had been watching us the whole time came over and kind of rudely just said "I'm taking those boots to the front counter". As if we were going to run out of the store with them without paying. We had gone in there to potentially spend a good chunk of money but it was such an unfriendly atmosphere, we just bought the one pair of boots and left. Went in today for the first time after hearing over and over by friends of kine that Boot Barn is awesome. I wasn't disappointed. Upon entering the store I was quickly greeted by a sales associate.I left spending over $400. And got all kinds of stuff! 3 pairs of jeans... found exactly what I went in looking for...Miss Me Jeans I have a hell of a time finding Miss Me's in Reno and usually have to resort to ordering online. Which sucks because you cannot try them on. I was relieved to find out that they were letting people use the fitting room Unlike more low end stores like Ross and TJ Maxx that are still not allowing people to use the fitting rooms. Also it was nice to not once feel like I was treated like a thief. I understand that stores have to deal a lot with shoplifting these days but it is quite unnerving when you can tell you're being followed and looked at like a common thief. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! All the other bad reviews are because of this too. Y'all need to work on yourselves. So I walked in dressed in an oversized shirt (but hey a least it was Ralph Lauren polo) and leggings and messy hair.. I just got back from a dance class. Anyways that's important because as soon as I walked in all the snobby ladies at the front counter, mostly the bigger older blonde, all gave me a look of discuss, like I was some bum. None of them said hi or welcome ! And I was in the back looking at boots but none of them bothered to ask if I needed help or anything! And I was back there for 10 mins alone! I picked out my shoes ALONE, and checked out. Still none of them really said anything. The cashier was just talking to the other cashier as she was checking me out (bid you I was polite and say hi and thank you as I was with her ) . But ugh so mad! Don't judge a book by its cover! I did drop 200$ on boots after all, but I can't be too bitter. Those rude hags all have to work. At least I can go home and laugh in my pool in my lovely home at the top of the hill. $$$ read more

I purchased the Double H Boot 10" Gel Cell boots on Monday, 06/04/2012 at approximately 4:00pm at the Boot Barn store in Reno Nevada at 3345 Kietzke Lane. I paid $226.21 for the boots and was told by the counter employee that I had $30 off my next purchase. I took them home and tried them on without taking any store tags off. I didn't like the look and went to return them the next day, Tuesday, 06/05/2012 at 2:00pm. During this time frame I have misplaced the receipt and was unable to find it. I felt they, the store, should have my purchase information on file and there shouldn't be any problem, because afterall the purchase was made less than 24 hours. The store manager said that because I didn't have the receipt that all she could do was give me a in store credit for the purchase amount. I said that I don't wish to buy anything else in the store and that I would like to have my money credited back into my bank account. She again say that all she could do was offer a in store credit because that was company policy. I explained that I have bought 2 other pairs of boots this past March from this same store so this isn't my first time purchasing from Boot Barn. I'm very disappointed that Boot Barn will not refund my purchase amount back into my bank account. I'm appalled at Boot Barn's non receipt policy of not refunding the customer's bank account and only providing a in store credit. I currently have a pair of boots that I do not like or want. Other stores like Walmart and Kohl's will take the return back without a receipt and that's providing excellent customer service. When I was denied my refund by a young, yet rude manager employee I called the corporate customer service number and spoke with a customer service representative name, Mike, who said that the manager should have been able to pull the my purchase information up at the store and confirmed that the boots were bought the day before and refund your money. Mike took my information and said that he would pass it along to the district manager and that I should be receiving a call from him/her. I have yet to receive that call. I would like to get this resolved. Thank you. This is Boot Barn's policy in regards to no recepit. Essentually I could have walked out of the store, lost the receipt within mintues, go back into the store to return my purchase and not have my bank account credited. That is terrible customer service. I would not reccommend this store in Reno at this point and time. The young female manager was unwilling to provide a better solution and was rude in her presentation as a company employee. read more

The first time I walked into Boot Barn I was pretty impressed at their selection. I didn't have enough time to purchase boots at that time, so I vowed to come back. The second time I found the same huge selection. However, as far as work boots are concerned, they didn't have what I wanted. Ideally I want an american made boot especially if I'm paying top dollar at a "WESTERN STORE". Every work boot I was interested in was made in China for $120+ Yes, they still had a great selection but still not what I was looking for in my situation. I figured I'd leave and maybe find a Mom and Pop boot / shoe store. I was in Gardnerville one day and found Angelos Bootery. He had a waterproof Wolverine boot I wanted but it wasn't in stock. I tend to understand that from a small business owner. What I did find was DB Shoes with 50% off sales. They had very similar Dr. Martens that Boot Barn Had. Yes, they're made in China which was sad. However, I didn't have to pay $150 for one pair. These were on sale for $70 per pair so I bought 2 pairs. One in Black and the other in Dark Brown. This is not a review to bash Boot Barn but maybe to wake them up on pricing, and better selections. Come on Boot Barn, get a wider variety of work boots including waterproof styles especially ones made in America. read more
