I ordered a Salty's flat- bill hat for my son. When it was delivered, it was a curved-bill regular baseball hat. My son told me he wouldn't wear it, so on our way out of town, we stopped by this location to exchange it. He didn't find the one, so he picked another hat that was the same price. When we got to the register with the receipt that shows a flat-bill hat the sales associate proceeded to tell me that is what the hat was a flat bill that just is "curved up." What? I told her we get all his hats here, and this is not what I ordered. She again wanted to prove she was right. There is a line of people behind us. Why say anything? Have been shopping here for years. Several weeks ago went there to get a new pair of work boots. Last pair (from same store) had worn out so time for new ones. Shopped other stores first (WSS, Walmart, etc.) and none had a decent selection (I have wide feet). Boot Barn has, BY FAR, the largest selection of styles, brands, and sizes. I spent about an hour trying on different types and fits and found the perfect pair of Wolverines. I was able to take my time, no pressure, and am very happy with the service & purchase. After several weeks the boots are broken in and very comfortable and the price was very reasonable. My opinion is that Boot Barn is the only place in our area to get quality work boots! read more

Came in looking for a hat for myself and cleaning for my friend. Hazel assisted me with sizing and finding a color that I liked. I will give the store three stars only because of how much merchandise they have inside. I went just now to purchase two pairs of boots. One for me and one for my daughter. The employees were helping literally everybody around me, the people that came after me, but not me. Once I realized nobody was going to help me, I decided I was not going to purchase from the store. My boyfriend and I came in to buy some work shoes for his job and he bought two pairs of shoes. When we paid at the cashier we thought she put two pairs of shoes in one bag but she didn't. Lol we had other places to be and at the end of the day we came home and found only one pair in the bag. We called back and apparently they still had the other pair at the cashier station. Only one employee was willing to help me , after I was circling the store for 25 mins unsure of what I was looking for. Mind you every single employee was there and seen me. According to the website they price match with other retailers; however when I asked they said only to the Boot Barn website. When I mentioned that to the employees they just sat and looked at me and didn't acknowledge me. Overall, from the moment I walked to the moment I exited that building, I was treated differently (being a younger, minority) and went unseen. Well Boot Barn just lost a decent sale and a customer for life, after trying on numerous boots, I finally found a pair that fit my odd shaped feet, but they were damaged, they didn't have another pair in my size so I asked if a small percentage could be taken off of the boots only.... Mind you we were buying shirts and a few other items as well, for our weekend in Vegas with George Straight.....the young sales lady tried so hard to help us, but the manager would not budge.... so we put everything back and left, and will not be returning... Had a defective pair of jeans. I called up the store in Lancaster and was told to bring them back. The salesman, Michael, helped me. He was very knowledgeable about the pair I brought back and suggested a different pair. I ended up getting a completely different pair by another brand. The service was outstanding! Thanks Michael I'll be back for sure. Just a side note the one in Canyon Country was okay but I didn't feel very comfortable shopping with a security guard on top of me constantly. I ordered some boots and a hat for my daughter's birthday online and selected the "ship to store" option because it was quicker than having it shipped to my house. So naturally I chose that option and it said it would arrive by the time I needed it. One item arrived early (I had the tracking number and it said it was delivered to the store and I called the store and they checked and said that they do in fact have it and I can come pick it up). The second item arrived the next day according to customer service who looked up the tracking. So I called the store this morning and I asked if I could pick it up and they said they received the order but they have to process it and they would call me. I asked what the time estimate would be because I need it today and she said with a very unnecessary attitude that there is "no time estimate" and they will contact me when it's ready. It's now 5pm and nothing. Why is my order being held??? I can't imagine how difficult it is to open a package and let a customer know it's ready. I really needed this today and the girl who I spoke to was SO rude and was so obvious she hates her job. I walked into the Lancaster bootbarn yesterday evening to find some new boots and after I walked in, not one employee acknowledged me or asked if I needed any help. I was looking around the store in the wrong section until I finally found the work boot section. I tried on five different pairs of different boots and walked in them and looked in the mirror. It was more employees in the store than customers and I still got no help or offering of assistance. Finally I got fed up and walked out. However, if for any reason you need to return or exchange anything purchased online or in store, the Lancaster CA. store is the worst experience possible. the employees do not go by the return policy whatsoever and make the return or exchange as drawn out with the most inconveniences as possible. I have done three returns/exchanges there and every time its the worst experience. It is so bad that after today i will not buy from them again, online or in store, just the possibility of maybe exchanging something there is enough for me to never buy from them again. i recommend to anyone buying online from bootbarn in the Lancaster CA. area to know exactly what you are buying before hand with zero need for an exchange or return, or buy in store (which is also just as bad because the store in Lancaster CA has the worst inventory of work boots in store). The staff gives incorrect information on the phone which results in wasted time. I had my staff go in and get work boots and I called and asked if we could bring in a check and the woman on the phone said, "sure, let me get the total for you". We go in with the check and they say, "we can't take a check, you need to pay with a card". An hour and a half wasted. They can keep their boots. We'll go elsewhere. read more

Went in here a while ago looking for a jacket for my construction work. There was some guy working there who literally followed me around the store the entire time glaring at me and when I went to pay he thoroughly searched every pocket in the jacket and kept asking if I had a hat he had seen me looking at. Walked in with my father in law last weekend and felt like I was walking into a random club or party the way one of the employees looked at us. First! I used to purchase all of my work boots from this store when I first got to this valley until I found the internet, unfortunately not having to pay taxes or shipping cost ended my trips to this store. The employees here are nice and usually very helpful but working off commission may sway these attitudes. I recently bought a pair of Ariats, through Amazon, that needed warranty repair, this store is an Authorized Ariat dealer, although they could not help me when I attempted to get their assistance. When I called they where more than happy to help me but when i arrived no one knew what i was talking about. All I got was, "Did you buy them here?", I replied, "No". Response, "Well there's nothing we can do for you". I replied, "I spoke to Ariat and they told me to come here and you'd help me". Instead I got paraded around the store to another customer so the Mgr. could explain to her why she shouldn't buy the boots I bought, what the heck! I was given a bag and was told to ship them to some other place other than Ariat, I got blown off. Left this store for the last time unaccomplished. After three weeks of speaking to Ariat and taking Boot Barn out of the picture I received a brand new pair of boots for the cost of shipping. I won't go back to this store for anything ever. I'll drive, spend the $ and time on gas just because of this incident. Good luck barn. read more

I don't know about the Boot Barn here in Palmdale or Lancaster but the one we have in Temecula, California is fantastic. Everyone is friendly, helpful, patient. They will take exchanges and returns without any problems. I've had a positive experience every single time. We have a new one in Menifee but smaller in size. We haven't been there yet but we are hoping they are as friendly as the Temecula store. Hope the one in Antelope Valley improve. read more

If I could give zero stars I would my experience at this location was really disappointing and I never want to shop their again. On august 18,2022 around 2:50pm I came in to exchange a pair of boots and as soon as I walked in I wasn't greeted this older lady with short dark hair tan skin looked irritated and asked me if I was there for a return and rolled her eyes and said ugh! Looked like she didn't want to assist me because she continued to ignore me and instead assisted someone else mind you I was in line first. Thankfully this younger white girl was able to help me out and apologized for the lady leaving me hanging on the register. When she was working on my exchange the older lady that was rude was talking to another girl about the boots I was exchanging making lil comments that they looked used and making a lot of petty comments with another co worker who was white and had glasses. Both were very unprofessional making comments when I could clearly hear them I have worked in customer service and this isn't the way to treat customers please hire professionals that's all I have to say if you want people to Continue to shop here. read more

Bought my boots here 3 months ago and recently had an eyelet break off. So I was told to bring them in so they could take a look, well finally was able to take them in today & was instantly greeted @ the door. I believe her name was Patricia, she immediately started helping with the issue & explained to the manager my problem to which they promptly found my purchase in the computer (because I couldn't find my receipt). After verifying the transaction they were like do you want the same boots or you can pick something else. Replaced my boots & I am very pleased with the customer service. While the prices may be high (OMG high in some cases) the staff is knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, sometimes even offering advice not expected). Ms. Andrea (staff) was exceptionally helpful in picking out boots for myself and my girls today, as an example. I told her the reason I was searching, and not only did she help us pick up the appropriate styles, but also gave me tips in relation to the source of my search (and recommended the lower ends boots to help cut the costs). I've been to this location multiple time & I never had a problem. I was approached rudely from a employee because my dog had accidentally pee. I went to the restroom to get toilet paper to clean it up. When I came back she asked me if she was a service dog & I answer. she questioned & she thought I was lying. she kicked me out the store before I was able to continue looking around. I got in line to complete my purchase. I would never imagine that an employee would give so much attitude to a customer who is there to purchase something. She shouldn't have kicked me out the store, that was wrong of her. she could've said if I could just carry my dog instead of letting her walk around with her leash.
