Very good experience with Raymond. My dad wanted a pair of boots and Raymond took his time to explain and help him find the right size. His boots needed some adjusting and Raymond explained the process from finish to end it really made the experience for my dad. Many times at Boot Barn they have several sales people but they aren't knowledgeable. I live in Avondale and my boot barn is horrid they lack knowledge and it's like a bunch of kids who are salespeople just gossiping in Spanish. I'm glad we made the trip to Glendale. Update... we had to return the boots because the store was unable to work on the boot as they said they would and the stores general manager "PJ" is not nice she looks like she's bothered by customers no apology no nothing just "ok what do you want to do about it" it's sad to see a supposed leader in this role who wants nothing to do with people read more

I have been buying boots , hats and a lot of other stuff from Boot Barn without any issues but this one on bell has been nothing but. Every time I try to do anything here it's a issue I tried to get my boots stretched, and that was an issue. Dropped him off yesterday. I was told to come back next day and it would be done. But no all the boot stretchers had been used. Ok would have been nice to know that. So I go to pick them up today and took me 15 to 20 minutes just to be told it was never done. I went in there to buy my fiancé a pair of boots which I have bought him boots there every year for his work he works in construction he wears the same size he wears the same brand of boots and this pair he wore around the house for a couple days and on the third day he wore them outside in the backyard and came in complaining of his ankle hurting he then took the boots off we both had felt the material there is something sharp sticking out of them so then my fiancé took him back to boot barn and they do not honor their warranty because they were outside they didn't care that the boot was defective and something sharp was sticking out of it I find this very disturbing that they can't guarantee their boots because you might've warm outside I could see if they didn't fit in something else but do you have a defective boot and you know it and not honor it I will not step foot in your store again nor will I buy boots nor will I recommend your store maybe you couldn't guarantee them because after all you have 10 employees that walk around doing nothing you probably can't afford to pay them all so why have a product returned at your cost? I shop a lot at Boot Barn and the employee quality is dropping and dropping in customer service at Bell Road. I went in today to purchase a really quality cowboy hat. The sales rep pointed me to where the hats were and walked off as I was trying to ask for assistance. The clerk steaming the hats was shocked the way she just walked away from me. Came to Phoenix and the one thing I wanted to do on this trip was to find a new pair of boots! After reading numerous reviews and weeding through them, with every place I could find it getting good comments and poor comments I took the chance and went to boot barn. They were two people working in the store and both were extremely helpful I was able to find the perfect pair of boots which is critical since I will wear them for probably two or three years. I'm not a real Cowboy. Even though I was born and raised in Montana, aka Big Sky Country, I'm just a button-down corporate puke type. Nordstrom sees the bulk of my clothing allowance and the only boots I owned were the kind that fasten to a pair of downhill skis. That all changed a couple years ago when I got an urge to get a pair of cowboy boots. I picked up a beautiful pair of Nocona boots and was completely hooked. They are so comfortable and excellent for traveling as they're easy to get on and off. This Christmas I decided I wanted a black pair to add to my collection but the shop I bought those at went out of business about a year ago. I've seen the Boot Barn on my way to Costco so we stopped in there to have a look around. They really have a terrific selection of boots, lots of different styles, leathers, heel sizes, etc. They also have a fantastic selection of men's and women's western apparel, both the P(rincess) and I bought new shirts. I struggled to get the help I needed as I had a bunch of questions to make sure I purchased a similar pair of boots that would give me the same satisfaction as my current pair. The P finally got someone to help us and unfortunately he was was too new to help us and clearly wasn't participant of Western couture with his Vans shoes and Quicksilver shirt. I'll echo some of the other reviews that there was definitely a bit of an attitude from the legacy employees which I always find disheartening. Since I couldn't get to a comfort level on the quality of the boots, whether they would stretch or not, if they were similar to my current pair, I opted not to make the purchase right then. This turned out to be ok as I was able to get a 10% coupon on-line just by taking their customer survey. They have a generous rewards program and I'm looking forward to getting back in and finding another pair of boots, you know, the kind that are made for walkin. . . Very easy to return the ordered hat and exchange it for the right one which they were very helpful in helping me choose the right size. I work in customer service and I would never treat paying customers so poorly, made an online order came to pick it up I ordered an XL .... they gave me a small I called and asked to speak to a manager. They don't put me on hold I can hear them screaming for "jenny" across the store and bickering I talk to Jenny and asked if they had the shirt in the correct size so I could come exchange it she said yes I came in today which is the next day and they don't have my size and sat and argued for 5 minutes with there coworkers deciding if it was there fault or onlines fault. read more

I really did not like this place. They were very rude to me and tried to get me to buy a pair of corral boots even though I specifically told them why I did not want corrals. What made me mad was that I looked on their website at a pair of boots that I wanted to buy. And they didn't have it at the store. They didn't have the style and brand I wanted. I ended up having to talk to two different people before they even went to the computer to see if they even had the boot in stores in Arizona. They didn't. I asked if they knew of anywhere that would have the boots and they told me some other places and they ended up not having it. For being Boot Barn I was super disappointed because this store is super small and very hard to find. It's also not easy to get to. If you are looking for boots don't come here. Some family was looking for specific boots for a wedding. I can't really comment about how pricey this place is because I've never shopped for cowboy style boots. All the boots were arranged by size which was nice. No one ever offered to help us when we walked in but they sure wanted to know if anyone helped us when it was time to check out. The girl at the register, Christine, was rude and had an attitude. I tried to joke a little to keep it light and she wasn't having any of it. What was strange is this was the second Boot Barn we went to and the girl at the first store also had an attitude. Maybe it was obvious to them that we aren't cowboys. I don't think they appreciated my Pumas and my Vans hat. Oh well....in the end he found what he wanted. Ariat Dulce Western Snake Print Buckle Detail Block Heel Shooties- BOOTBARN advertises that they will price match. Unfortunately- all the staff declined to honor price matching policy when I provided advertised price for Dulce Western Snake Print Buckle Detail Block Heel Shooties at Dillards- $64.99. Staff stated "The computer won't let us reduce the price this much" Bootbarn price was $139. Bootbarn staff offered to reduce the price by $20. Sadly, I left without my boots. I ordered from Dillards. Did I mention that I shop Bootbarn frequently- spending almost $1000 there in the past 60 days. I feel certain that Mesa Riverview location would have taken the time to provide great customer service and honored advertised price matching policy- but who wants to drive all over the valley to get price matched!?!? It's been years since I purchased everyday boot wear. My wife and I had decided to grab a pair each. A friend had recommended Boot Barn. We were in the area shopping and decided to stop in. It was a bit difficult to get into the parking lot but once we did, there was plenty of room to park. We went in to begin our adventure of shopping for some everyday wear boots. Right away we noticed the large selection of boots of many different styles and prices. So, pretty much, nice verity and good price range. We kinda wandered and looked around a while until a gentleman that worked there noticed we were having trouble finding something we both liked. The guy kicked right in, asked size, type and style I wanted. Came back with 4-5 pairs within moments of exactly what I was looking for and in my size. I didn't end up buying one of those pairs, but did notice a pair that I was amazed with, slipped my foot in, it was like putting on a foot glove. They were extremely comfortable, stylish but not overdone, very high quality and priced fairly for what it was. So we moved on to find my wife a pair she liked, within moments, a lady came bye to help us find what she was looking for. My wife is a bit short and wears a wide style footwear. The lady pointed out that orange tagged boots were wides, made our search so much easier. But we didn't need to, the lady immediately brought my wife a good selection of boots for her to check out and try on. Sure enough, boom, found exactly what she needed. High quality, durable, very nice boot. Priced fair for the quality. Went to check out, boom again, military discount. Two pairs of high quality boots at fair prices, great help finding what we were looking for, easy to find on the Arrowhead loop, plenty of parking. Just an A+ experience. After a few days, my wife complained her boots were still a bit tight, nothing a cheap pair of boot stretchers from Walmart didn't solve. I don't ever leave reviews but I did want to say I felt almost offended after leaving here. I'm a young pregnant mom who was in there with my husband and 1 year old. It almost felt like I was being followed and watched like I was stealing somthing.. and when I asked two of the female workers for a larger size because my pregnancy feet are swollen I felt they were kind of rude to me and blew me off. I don't normally complain about things like this but it's just frustrating when I have a hard time shopping with a fussy toddler and swollen feet. read more

I just wanted to start off by saying that i love the selection and variety of boots, clothing, accessories, etc that they have in the store. I have shopped here plenty of times before and have had great experiences. However i came into the store right before Christmas and had a less than ideal one, which pains me to write this review. All politics aside, i am a very patriotic individual and try to purchase American made products whenever possible. I was dead set on a pair of double H western boots and was ready to purchase them. A younger male employee (Didnt get name) stopped me and told me not to buy them because the Chinese Ariats" lasted way longer and we're way more comfortable". I told him i wasn't interested, he then proceeded to tell me that if anyone didn't like the Ariats boots, which he was wearing, "they can go f*** themselves". I'm didn't mind the language, we are all adults, but what really bothered me was when he asked why i didn't like them. I told him i wanted American made, in which then he proceeds to tell me that I'm "weird" and "why the h*ll i should care so much?" I couldn't believe it to be honest. Anyways I ended up purchasing the double H boots and leaving, but not before getting extremely frustrated with a back and forth argument on the subject and then giving him an earful of what i think western means. So all in all i love what the boot barn has to offer, i just think they should be more careful on the individuals they hire.
