If I hadn't had a leftover gift card from Christmas I can assure you that I wouldn't have had lunch…read morefrom here today. The pricing is way out of line for what you get. Twenty Dollars and thirty cents for a sandwich is immoral! Granted my sub was good ( not great by any means) and it was constructed with care by a fantastic store associate. Housekeeping in the store preparation area continues to be a big concern to me. Cutting my sub roll on top of the prior cutting crumbs is offensive to me. A much better sub can be had at Ingles ( exact same size ) with Boar's Head meat and cheese for less than half of what I spent! I could have purchased two identical subs with double roast beef for less than this at Ingles! This will be my last visit to any Jersey Mikes Subs unless I get another gift card next Christmas! lol!

We stopped for gas and a stretch on our drive from NC to AL. Our Firehouse Subs in Huntsville is…read morevery hit or miss so we rarely go there. For some reason, the nondescript Gaffney Firehouse called to us. We weren't sure it was open - the windows were darkened and we couldn't see anyone inside but the open sign was on so we stiffly exited the car and hobbled in. We were pleasantly greeted as we were immediately waited on. Even though there was a bit of an after-church crowd, we still got our sandwiches quickly. Hubs and I shared a large Firehouse Hero. Honey ham, turkey and roast beef warmed to not quite hot. It was huge - we really should have gotten a medium - he had to finish mine. We got the 83 pound MIL a kids meal - it was small, probably too small for anyone over 6 but she barely finished it (oh don't get me started about trying to get this 88 year old to eat). Anyway, our sandwich was very good - something I'd definitely order again. The restaurant, while not immaculate, was quite clean - a far cry from what I'm used to at home. Maybe my local Firehouse has improved - that sandwich was good enough to give my store another try.

They did nothing I asked. Specifically did what I asked them not to do. And tips are for servers. Not punks that just show up to work they are already being paid to do. This place gets a zero! And also, when I complained all she could do was defend herself and say she put it on the order. I watched her not do anything about adding my requests to the order and the receipt didn't show anything added. This is crap and I will never eat here again. If simple instructions can't be followed what good are they?

Stopped on a road trip for an early dinner. First impression wasn't very good. Needed a bathroom…read moreand it wasn't very clean including sticky floors. Having never been I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices and let my wife order for us while I found a table. The floors were sticky, the table was stick, and some moron was on their phone using speaker phone. My wife ordered two Philly Cheesesteaks making one a 'jumbo' to include onion rings, fries, and a drink. Service was friendly & helpful for us newcomers and the food was delivered quickly by the friendly staff. So as much as I was concerned about sticky floors and all that, the food really was delicious. The cheesesteaks seemed to be more bun than meat, but honestly it was a perfect balance of meat, cheese, grilled onion AND a PERFECTLY crispy AND soft bun. The sandwich truly was magnificent and really well balanced/proportioned. I thought the rings were a bit under cooked, but I was fooled again! Onion was soft, well cooked, and flavorful. Fried were definitely undercooked but I don't generally eat French fries so all good. Cole Slaw was middle of the road. I struggle with a rating but sticky floors, sticky table along with a few environmental things really drag down my overall perception. Friendly/competent staff and an excellent sandwich will hold a steady rating of three. Would I eat there again? It is on of the few unique non-chains in the area and I know what to expect going in. So if I need to stop on the area, I'd more than likely stop again thanks to staff and food!

I've been on a quest to find the best hotdogs in the Spartanburg S.C. and Gaffney S.C. areas. These weren't the best hotdogs in Gaffney; but they are a very strong second! After giving the menu a good read, I opted for the Calabash Shrimp and Flounder. Its another solid choice if you're there for the seafood. Their fries then tasted good as well. This lasted for about 4-5 months. Then, one night we ordered and everything was wrong. Nothing tasted like it did before. The fries were fried in stale grease (can tell by color and taste). We didn't go back. Well, tonight I decided to give them a shot again. Needless to say, it was just as bad as the last time. Fries dark brown and gross. Hotdogs nor the chili tasted like they did when we first found them. No lie, my dog wouldn't eat the hotdog part I NEVER give bad reviews, but with times being harder and food being so expensive, I would hope someone would level with me. I'm not sure if there was an ownership change or food service change. Whatever happened around a year ago was NOT a change for the better.
