Well, haven't made a Yelp review in ages. But while I was thrift shopping over in Gaffney last Saturday for movies, my mom and I decided to grab a quick bite at this very KFC for lunch. It's clean, the lady working up was friendly, and their food is fresh 'n' HOT! I'll get down to only the selling points, since it's fast food - it's got a buffet, which I shared some of my mom's fried chicken from. Normally I don't like KFC's chicken, but this time the chicken impressed with its seasoning! I also LOVE their potato wedges, which were crispy. While I still prefer the cajun flavor out of Bojangles, this is a KFC worth stopping at. It does "chicken right" (old KFC slogan from the '80s, anyone?). read more

Some people are just slow learners! Apparently I'm one of those! I keep eating lunch in fast food joints that don't have even a single customer! While the prospect of getting fast service is enticing; there's always a reason for this. In this case it's the lousy food- in my humble opinion. It's just really disappointing chicken. The list of negatives is too long to list here. A short example: Dirty tables; no iced tea; simply disappointing food- tasteless; broken water faucet in the men's room. They will kill you with the food here. Old food is being served. The chicken is old and mash potatoes and coleslaw is old as well. Please, someone shut this store down. There isn't any care in this food. read more

Ordered a large coleslaw got to the window and I could not believe how small it was. I asked the lady standing there if this was a large and she said it was I asked could I get another one? She was very rude as she tapped her long light blue fingernails and said you're gonna have to drive around again. There was no one behind me, but I drove around again, and she was very snarky through the drive through speaker, and then I pulled up and she basically shoved the bag at me all the while tapping those Long nasty blue fingernails. Old Store, needs remodeled., The staff is super good. Food is good. I go back often. They have a special alot for $5

Do not order chicken pot pies at this location. While the crust was very tasty, the chicken was tough, unchewable, stringy, overcooked strips and one piece was an actual joint! Never again! read more

When you come to get chicken really makes a difference what time it is. After 8pm they don't drop anymore chicken, so what they have made is all you get to choose from. My wife & myself prefer original recipe, so we go there expecting to get a bucket full, well all they had was crispy breasts & they closed in an hour so they wasn't frying anymore chicken tonight. Very disappointedly we went to Popeyes & was amazingly surprised & enjoyed their chicken much better & it will be our future old reliable for chicken. read more

There has been some bad reviews for KFC in Gaffney, I have been here numerous times over the last year and it's awesome. The staff are friendly helpful caring and clean. The food has been great and place very clean. read more

I usually have no problem with KFC but the past 2 times I have went I ordered a $5 fill up and didn't get my cookie. If I'm going to pay for the cookie and not get one then they need to go down on the price. I'm usually not picky but to me that's the best part of the meal. read more

I was leaving Charlotte for Atlanta. I I had not had breakfast nor lunch yet. And I wanted something different. And then I saw it a billboard on the side of the interstate, KFC buffet. Hells to the yeah. The KFC is about a mile off of the interstate. It was a Sunday afternoon after church, luckily I beat all of the little old people who wanted to eat my delicious fried chicken. After I paid I walked over to the buffet and alas there was no salad. I hoped that the macaroni salad would make up for it but it didn't. But there was Fried chicken and luckily the old people left me two breasts. there was another piece that was left that looked like it had been picked over by the time i got there but it did not make it to my plate. the chicken was over done but good with hot sauce and honey as a dipping sauce. the Cole slaw and the mashed potatoes with cheese were delicious. thenmacaroni salad not so much. the coup d'etat for my stomach was the BlackBerry cobbler. finished I decided to wash my hands of the chicken grease that was coating them. This has to be without a doubt the worst restraunt in Gaffney. Got 7 pieces of raw chicken in a 8 piece meal. That I waited on for 30 minutes. When I called back to complain. Was told I couldn't speak to mgr. She was busy. So I waited awhile and called back. They picked up the phone and hung up on me. Its already been shut down once for being nasty. Has a buffet, which can be hard to find. Buffet was clean and well-stocked. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's not high dining but well worth four stars for what it is. A bit more attention to cleaning tables and the floor would be useful, but it was not a concern. read more

I called the Corporate office the very next day and the person told me they would send me a VOUCHER to use. I told them that if I had to use it at the Gaffney store I would not use it. The guy told me I could use it at any one of the KFC's. Well guess what I get the VOUCHER and it says I can only use it at the one in Gaffney. I called the Corporate office back and they told me that they talked to the manager of the store and things are going to improve. I told them that did not mean that the employees would spit in my food or put something in it or not do me right so Im not risking it!!!!! I told them that if I did not hear from the Corporate office and did not send me a VOUCHER I could use at another KFC I would post what they did to me too!!! Well guess what! It has been over a month and still have not heard anything,. WELL SINCE THE CORPORATE OFFICE WILL NOT WORK WITH ME I WILL NEVER EAT AT ANOTHER KFC....VERY DISAPPOINTED HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!!! This has to be the worse KFC in the upstate..asked before I ordered how long would it be before they restocked the buffet..the guy said right now..being there were no biscuits and only one piece of chicken on the buffet..15 mins later..same items..I asked again..he then told me the girl that stocks the buffet wouldn't be in for another 30 mins..but there were six employees working..one person couldn't bring over some chicken? I asked for a refund..the manager came out and apologized..but still nobody could put any chicken out..what in the world? The manager offered me a three piece dinner instead of the buffet or giving me my money back..when I refused..she got frustrated..saying I was trying to be difficult..wasn't trying to be..but how hard is it to put the same three pieces of chicken you offered me on the buffet? Never have to worry about revisiting this place..Popeyes has my business..and when this one is closed by next year..and your sales are slumping..remember there is no price tag you can put on quality customer service..this place seriously lacks in this department.and to the young lady that was working drive thru and complaining because the customer asked for hot sauce..got some good advice for you..if you don't like your job..quit! read more
