We took my son here for his birthday and he had a blast with his friends! It is kind of pricey but we got a deal! We stayed for about 4 hours and they rode the race cars, played in the arcade, play a couple rounds of golf, rode the bumper cars, went on the flipping ride and did laser tag!! Fun place to come with the grandkids, but needs to be kept up better. Several of the arcade games went working, the miniature golf area wasn't that clean and the stream wasn't working. I had my daughter's birthday party here and overall it was a fun party. They do provide very simple decorations (tablecloths, plates, weighted tinsel centerpieces and inflated balloon cluster hanging from the ceiling). I chose the platinum party which was nice because of the included party bags and unlimited rides/arcade games. The birthday girl got a one time pass to go to the front of the go kart line and bring a friend (I think it was one time, I think the party coordinator said it was any time but the go kart attendant took it). All the kids loved the unlimited rides and attractions but I wish there were more video game options. It took some time (5-10 minutes) for attendants to come assist with the less popular rides like the bumper cars and bumper boats. In terms of birthday party review, it was a great party and my daughter said it was the best party she ever had. The party coordinator was attentive to refilling drinks and coordinating bringing out food and other items with me. If you want a more decorated room then you will need to bring your own items, you can't tape onto the walls so be mindful. Party review 4/5 stars, I would definitely have another party there. I wish there was more hands on guidance with the party assistance. It was all self-managed in the room. The most annoying issue we had was with the go kart ride. We had gone in a group of 8 riders where all kids/adults rode double seats all day. I didn't ride because I was on baby duty. Towards the end of the day after waiting a half hour in the cold wind, we were told that one of the kids who had driven all day was apparently an inch too short so she couldn't be a double seat driver. That meant my 4 year old did not have a driver and could not join the group. That would have been fine, I won't argue if she was apparently too short but instead of giving him the option of waiting for a driver and going the next round he was turned away. The look on his face as he ran to me, broken hearted and crying with tears steaming down his face, still haunts me (My son has been obsessively in LOVE with cars since he was barely a year old). I talked to the attendant and asked if he could ride without waiting AGAIN because he had already waited 30 minutes and it was unfair to not give him the option of waiting for a driver for his turn at the next cycle. The attendant told me no because it was not fair to everyone else in line to let him go to the front of the line to ride, even though he had already waited longer than everyone else. After trying to persuade him, I eventually had to use my daughter's birthday pass so they would let my son ride but it was still frustrating that there was no consideration. His option was to have my son wait for the next group of riders to go and then enter at the exit so he wouldn't cut the line. BTW, there was no one sitting in the karts yet, I made sure to ask right when the other riders were exiting. We were not asking for my to son to cut the line; he had already waited half an hour but was not allowed to ride with his group because he needed a driver. The other people waiting in line said it was fine for my son to go in front because they saw him waiting patiently there with them but the attendant said everyone in line needed to agree or else it wouldn't be fair. It feels like the attendants operate in a 1+1=2 kind of way and anything that disrupts that assigned rule upsets them, even though it still makes sense, like how -1+3 still equals 2. Unfortunately, this review won't change anything but at least sharing my story makes me feel a LITTLE better. The go kart experience would be a 2/5 stars because the kids enjoyed driving but the one attendant soured the experience. I honestly want to give less stars because of anger the attendant made me but to be fair to to the entire experience I would have to give Boomers 4/5 because the kids had a fun time (needs more attendants to help service the rides). Attendants need more training in being better at problem solving and flexibility when following the rules. It pisses me off that seeing a 4 year old cry because he could not ride with his family and then wanting to make him wait longer in the cold so he could ride was supposed to be his best compromise. /rant read more

While the Livermore Boomers is closer to home, the Modesto Boomers is better! Worth the extra drive time! The go-kart track has more curves and elevation changes, but most importantly, the karts go FASTER! As with any Boomers, go early and at open to avoid the crowds. We went on a Saturday and had the go-kart track to ourselves for over an hour. Staff seemed nice. There was an issue with our pass (which is supposed to be good at all locations), so that was annoying to have to get fixed (took 15 minutes and 2 employees and a manager). The Modesto location has batting cages! The arcade is similar to the Livermore location. The cafe area appeared cleaner and more up-to-date. They also have a "smaller kid" go-kart course, a couple mini-golf courses and bumper boats, but we did not partake this time. As with other Boomers, I recommend you buy the annual pass as it is pretty much the same cost as a single day unlimited ticket. read more

I went to a birthday party on Saturday at Boomers they have the VIP package which included all attractions and all video games that do not give tickets the birthday party was extremely rushed in the party room the lady Amber played only one game forgot to serve a few of the kids and didn't even clean up the party room we had to do it as we are being rushed through everything also most of the games are broken and if you have to get an attendant to help you good luck finding one but that's not even the biggest problem so I guess because it's the month of October they're doing some type of zombie walk after 9 p.m. will they go around and give people wristbands but then don't give other people in the birthday party wristbands so I went up and spoke to a manager who then got the store manager first of all let me say the store manager is completely rude she had an attitude from the get-go my son is only 14 years old and because her employee gave him a wristband quote-unquote by mistake she made him hand his arm over while she tore The Wristband off his arm and said either we paid for it or he didn't get to do it and she didn't even care that there was not just in my party but other people getting free wristbands and when we told her that she said well the issues being addressed and it never did get addressed you never heard them say over the PA system hey everybody we need to see if your Season Pass Holder if you got a wristband or paid the $25 for The Wristband they never once said that but they took my children and let the other kids in the birthday party keep the wristband she didn't even care so I asked you for corporates number she told me there was no number but there's an email I have emailed corporate they have not responded back so I am assuming reason why the staff is the way it is because corporate really doesn't care the way they treat their customers we definitely will not be going back to Boomers there's nothing but gang members and drug addicts that hang out here and half of the employees look like they're stoned out of their minds they can't even get an order right at the snack bar not to mention the new bar they put in brings a crowd that is not very good to have around children so I guess if you want to get ripped off have half your children be able to do something in the other children not and if you complain about it to take the wristband off but not reprimand their stuff for doing it if you'd like to get your order messed up and get charged almost $100 for one pizza a chicken sandwich some fried pickles and three drinks that the customer service people can't even get right and if you want to waste your money on video games that don't work and have to wait a half-hour for someone to come help you by all means go for it but don't you dare try to tell one of the employees to help you or ask the manager because she will not help all she'll do is insult you and belittle you read more

Fun place to go with a group of friends. This place offers some amusement park like rides, go kart racing, vast arcade, laser tag, batting cages, mini golf, and bumper boats. The go karts here are a bit better than the other locations as the track is fairly long and its actually possible to race each other. The laser tag here is kinda lame as the gun looks like a barcode scanner and the scoring system is kinda weird. Battling cages and mini golf are good activities for the more athletic. Bumper boats will get you soaked so I would recommend wearing shorts, taking off socks, and/or bringing an extra change of clothes. Go to the website to find coupons. Bottomline: A good place and moderately expensive place to have fun. read more

If I haven't checked in to this place that doesn't mean I visited here trust me I have I use to work here for a year got sick of dealing with fellow employees who wouldn't do anything to help out. The go carts were nice and fun to ride in but people ignore the fact when they say no bumping or swerving that MEANS DON'T BE STUPID AND BUMP SOMEONE OUT OF THE WAY. You can really hurt someone trust me I seen it happen already it's not pretty. The water boats were fun and relaxing when it was hot outside I remember when I was working the boats a two guys jumped in to the water and yes they got kicked out of the park by the managers. They also have a indoor arcade I never went inside unless it was to pick up my check for the days at work. I never got to play inside as we were told not to come in there so we don't bother the customers or the girls who worked in side. This park is a hit and miss some of the outside ride attendants like some people have already said don't care about the customers they could careless. This shouldn't be like this you can always complain to the day shift manager to see what they can do about the issue. When I worked there in 2008 some of us that worked there that really did care about working and make the customers happy so they can hopefully come back again. read more

As far as boomers go this place is not bad. The smaller go karts are an excellent choice for kids but I was really turned off for my son's 6th birthday party. For their 499 price for the "full package" we got poor service and a overall bad experience. Took 45 minutes before we could get help for our overflow guests. Another 25 after that until they got us a solution. For 500 dollars you expect more. Want to enjoy or kill an afternoon then this place is great. I came here to Boomer's as a close friend to a family who's son was celebrating his ninth birthday. As an adult watching the kids have fun, you could tell that this is one of those cool spots to go to for a birthday party. The arcade is pretty big and you have the choice of miniture golf, batting cages, go-karts, boats, or rock climbing. For $22 your little ones have unlimited access to all those things. As an adult watching all this, the staff I encountered were really polite, accomodating and friendly. We had a reserved table in one of the party rooms and the pizza, despite it being pre-made and frozen wasn't too bad. Was drawn in by their ten-buck Tuesday advertisement, but upon arriving, the fine print said only unlimited video games. To get unlimited go-carts, mini golf, rock climbing, laser tag, bumper boats and the venturer ride, you need to add $8.00. So I shelled out the $18.00 per person. There were a few reasons I liked this smaller amusement park better than larger amusement parks. 1) Parking: there was no difficulty finding parking and no fee charged either. 2) Admission: parents, guardian, or spectators need not pay admission to gain entrance. You can watch your children without having to pay an outrageous admission fee. 3) Seating: tables and chairs were always available, and the majority of them were in locations that you could directly view the kids in line. 4) Shade: Every table had some shade, whether it was an umbrella, canopy or tree. 5) Concessions: A large pizza=$13.99. Refillable soda=$4.99 for the cup and drink, then $0.99 for each refill. Although they didn't have any salads, you could always run down to the fast food restaurants around the corner and pick up much cheaper food. We did this for dinner and it was much cheaper/better than ordering pizzas again. Other info: -They currently have a summer night promotion going on that costs $10.00 for the unlimited rides after 5pm. The wait times nearly doubled from after 5pm. -Batting cages always cost extra no matter which package you buy. -The go-cart racing is the most popular, so if you are there before 5pm, ride those first. -They also have a smaller race track for younger kids and an outdoor play structure. The food was amazing and great service I was very impressed by the adorable little asian girl Nadia i believe was her name She was running around everywhere from the registers to the go carts She helped us on almost all of the rides even the water ride She was on top of everything It was almost like she was our own personal ride operator and She also helped us while purchasing our tickets and food. She was so sweet and welcomed us with a beautiful smile and kindly explained to us how everything worked. I wish I could've tipped her but wasn't sure that was allowed so I've decided to leave a yelp review! It was only a couple other workers who helped us while we were there but she sure stood out.
