The restaurant feels like a hole in the wall and a chili's at the same time. The staff here was great too and was always helpful where they could be. The 2 for $26 deal is a steal for how much food you're getting and was great for two people. Basically, you get an appetizer and two entrees. What I really liked about this place is they let you change out your sides on your entree for no extra charge. I got mash potatoes instead of fries and definitely felt like I should be paying more just for the quality of the mash potatoes alone. Also, I've never had a monte cristo sandwhich before, but I was glad I tried it out. The strawberry jam that pairs with it is literally some of the best strawberry jam I've ever had before too. Ate lunch at the Casa Linda Boomer Jack's today (6/29/24). I ordered the Monte Christo w/sweet potato fries. I got something slightly resembling a Monte Christo, w/reg. fries. Worst Monte Christo I've ever eaten. Frankly, they need to take it off the menu, because it was very evident the cook had never eaten one & didn't know how to make it. It took so long to get to the table that I thought they must be having trouble finding the recipe. It was way over done with a thick rock-like crust, a smattering of powdered sugar & was served with raspberry jam rather than maple syrup or honey. (I hate raspberry anything.) I was disappointed that I didn't get the sweet potato fries, but I was starving & it had already taken so long to get my food that I told the server to just leave them. They tasted like they'd been cooked in old cooking oil. I used to eat at this Boomer Jack's regularly but hadn't been there in a while. Go there to drink, not to eat. This location has no out door seating it's located in a strip mall setting. It was my first time there I ate catfish and fries it was really good also had a margarita they were 3.00 that day. One of my daughters had wing dings with a spicy sauce and fries the other one had chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and gravy and some type of toasted bread. For an appetizer we had queso cheese dip with ground meat this was to commercial tasted like and looked like velveeta cheese not a queso at all. Drinks was good service was good we sat by the door too many flies coming swimming around food! I would go again but not that location it's really small in there seats not cleaned off good thank God I bring my own sanitizer wipes I had to clean the table again and the seats we sat in it wasn't cleaned well seats had some food small food crumbs on it. read more

We should have read the reviews before making a decision. We ordered the fried pork chops and they were very dry and the breading separated and fell off the chops. My side salad was wilted and they brought me the wrong dressing. The mashed potatoes were the only good thing about this meal. We also had the brisket nachos that were terrible for many reasons. It had bbq sauce on the nachos and the brisket had gristle. The service was very slow even though it was not very busy in the restaurant. My husband and I went here today for lunch. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and they were horrible! No lemon pepper taste more like rosemary and oil. They were bland,greasy,and just not good to eat. I exchanged them twice and both times worse than before. My husband ordered the pork chops they were hot but,not seasoned they had a good crust that's about it. Went there the other day and got a Taco Salad. Chopped lettuce and a decent amount of chicken. Went there again and the lettuce was shredded all of a sudden and only had like 10 tiny pieces of rubbery over cooked chicken, and instead of the sliced avocado, had a baby scoop of guac. I have never experienced such slow service as I did tonight. I dined in with a party of 4 which later grew. It took 10 minutes to get greeted and then it took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Keep in mind it was slow Thursday night. After our drinks were dropped off, it took another 15 minutes to get waters. Our server Giselle provided extremely bad and slow service to us, yet she had time to sit down and chit chat with other tables and workers at the bar. The only helpful person was maybe a manager of the shift that talked to us more than our server. Through out the night, our waters weren't refilled and the server never checked on us. Wanted to try a new place so after looking online at the menu I pick BoomerJacks and I regret that. Service was horrible, our waitress was slow and not attentive at all. Food that we ordered was substituted and we weren't even asked if that was ok. No it wasn't actually. Salad was large inedible chunks and someone needs to actually show them a recipe for chicken tortilla soup. 1.5 Stars I really used to like this place, and had I reviewed them then they would have probably got three or four stars. However, their service has really declined in the last year and like another reviewer said your order will be wrong more often than right. They have some delicious wing flavors, we love the lemon pepper, carribean jerk and hot. Their fries are addictive and they have very high quality blue cheese dipping sauce. They do have a full bar inside which is helpful if you're picking up because you can be sitting inside for quite a while as they get your order together, and even longer if its wrong. Now for the reason they are graciously getting 2 stars, when I'd prefer a 1.5. They have the rudest staff ever. This is quick fix (i.e. fire everyone and train the next batch on customer service), but honestly I've never been ignored so blatantly by a cashier or talked to so rudely when I point out the order is wrong. The breaking point for me, and when they lost my business, was when they started offering delivery about two months ago. I finally ordered from them (even though they are literally two blocks away) because the whole house was sick and we didn't want to drive anywhere or make anything. No exaggeration, it took an hour and a half to deliver. The food was wrong, and cold. It took six or seven phone calls to get them to deliver it, and the girl forgot the drinks that we paid for. I won't get on a soapbox and detail my issues and experiences with them. Just trust me, there are better options, drive the extra bit to a Wing Stop or get other food, it's not worth the hassle. read more

I'll never go into this place again. Never. Went in last night (Sunday), about 7.30 pm. Place was maybe a third full, quiet, low energy. Sat at the bar for almost 20 minutes unsuccessfully trying to catch the eye of a waitress so that I could order. Got frustrated and left - and on way out saw two waitresses talking in a booth - one was sitting in the booth and the other was standing at the end of the booth. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, and they were definitely ignoring the customers - including me. I've been a regular at this place for several months, usually 2-3 nights each week. I come in, have a couple of drafts, maybe order a meal, maybe watch some of a ballgame, pay my tab, tip very well, and leave. I say please and thank you, and I try to be a good customer. I've noticed the indifference of some of the staff before, but last night was the first time that indifference felt directed at me me. It's embarrassing to sit at a bar being ignored by every waitress in the place. Won't happen again. UPDATE: In response to my review, somebody supposedly affiliated with BoomerJacks posted a message asking that I contact them. The message appears to have been sent by some service that gets paid by Bookerjack's to monitor Yelp and other online reviews. When I tried to contact them, I discovered that the link in the message was to some other website that I had to register on. That's about as poor a customer service response as the one I experienced in the bar itself. Damned insulting, actually. These people really don't give a damn. The food here is good. The service is TERRIBLE. All. The. Time. We have come here on various days of the week, and unless we sit at the bar and stare down the waitress, we do not get service. Last night we sat for nearly 15 minutes after getting our drinks (soda and water, not even a bar drink) to order. We ONLY got to order after I flagged our waitress down. We had to ask for refills (which were wrong) and the waitress was too distracted by holding another patron's toddler to take our credit card to pay. This is not the first time we have received slow or bad service here, nor will it be the last. It seems to always be the same 3 waitresses, who unless you are a regular, do not seem to care about taking your order or serving you. The place is always a mess ("Sorry, we got slammed"--there were 4 people in the place) and again, we only get decent service if we sit at the bar. The owner completed upgrades it looks great inside, and the food is always good, but again, the service is not good. If you have no where to be and are extremely patient, then I would say go enjoy the food. If you want even sub-par service--chili's is in the same parking lot. read more
