Boomerang is a great diner. Went for breakfast. Everything was freshly cooked and tasty. They were grossly under staffed on this particular morning leading to very slow service and dirty tables with customers waiting. The decor is always appreciated. Limited Seating. Few tables in the middle, all booths. It's nicely decorated with Elvis memories. Went for Breakfast. Had the Chicken Fried Steak & eggs. Biscuits & Gravy. I was told to order more as sometimes the portions are small. But not today, I barely at everything. Our server was awesome and attentive. Friendly and made suggestions. Food was made in a good time frame. If you want good home cooking comfort food, this is the place. 1/2 price burgers on Sundays!! Employees wear masks and gloves when bringing our food to the table. I ordered a BLT sandwich and they brought out a literal pile of bacon placed between two pieces of burnt bread with nothing else on it . It took about 15 or more minutes for them to bring that mess to our table. The diners with this spelling are a locally owned small chain. The Diner Double cheeseburger is dripping good delicious. The cherry cokes keep me coming back! I noticed some poor reviews based on service, which can change location to location and from time to time. The diners I visit have been consistently good on service with consistently good food. Terrible. I swore I would never go there again after twice going in and not getting waited on after being seated. Thought I would give them another chance after six months by getting it to go and ordered online. Showed up at the exact time it showed. The food had been sitting there a LONG time. Horrible. The options for eating out in this town are few; so I'm happy to have boomerang grill right down the road! I'll start with the negatives, since there aren't many. The restaurant is small. A typical diner. Which is neat, since along with the diner label they have waitresses dressed in tie die shirts, records on the walls, and other cool 50-60 diner decor. However, the size can be its downfall on a day like Sunday- where, everything in this small town is closed. Some days you walk in and you just turn back around. No where to sit and wait, and it's not worth waiting 20 minutes. (Especially when you have a hungry 2 year old!) The positives- The staff is super friendly. They are always attentive, even when busy. Quick to take your order. And quick to bring/refill your drinks. The food is pretty good- and cheap! I love the burgers. The catfish and chicken fried chicken is great as well. However- a lot of the dishes you have to order fries (they don't come with a lot of the menu). But it's worth it- they are pretty good too, and you get a basket for only a few bucks. Overall- yes I would come back. (Obviously), and yes I would bring my friends here on a Sunday ;) read more

Stopped here on our way back home from visiting family. I cannot love this place more if I tried! Friendly staff, quality food, amazing value and a simple menu that makes your mouth water. Try KV's burger and the Frito Pie, you will not be disappointed. When a family of four (with 2 kids under 10) love a place this much, it's always a winner! read more

I have been this this diner quite a few times and the service had been decent but today has taken away from those experiences entirely. I placed a to go order and picked up those items through the drive up window. I got home and realized they had left out a burger basket I had ordered. I called and the girl was very apologetic and said she would get a new one started for me. That's not the upsetting part, we are human and people make mistakes. It was an inconvenience to drive back up there but it is what it is. When I get there to pick up my burger the lady at the window said next time, if you could bring your back of items back up here because we need to compare. This was essentially accusing me of lying to get a free meal. How ridiculous!! I said this to her and she said well just so you know for next time. Next time? They shouldn't be planning for these issues but instead preventing them. I was very offended and the lady, who I can only assume is the manager, needs some training on customer service because that's not how you recover. I was fine until this interaction and because of this I won't be returning and I'll share my experience with others in the area so they can stay clear as well. read more

Awesome place! Only a few miles off 35 and well worth it! Walking in, everyone greets you and tells you sit where you like. Food was awesome, prices were even better! NOT what you would expect from a small town little diner but this place was a definite gem in the wall! One helluva burger shop!
