The Also, not a big deal, but they don't have a waiting area, so you have to sit out in the hot sun while the work was being finished (major downside in austin summer). Overall: Going here was a mistake. They've gotten good reviews in the past for being a solid budget used tire place, but something must have changed in recent years.. Not a terrible place, but nothing to write home about. If you want a great deal/experience -- i had great luck with Austin Tireman a few months back. Very up front about prices, honest, very affordable, good quality, excellent service, no bs experience, you will leave feeling good, and they have a waiting area. Thankfully, help arrived before I had time to spiral into Googling "How to survive permanently stranded in your driveway." The roadside assistance technician showed up calm, professional, and completely unfazed by my dramatic retelling of events. Within minutes, they diagnosed the issue, got things sorted out, and brought my car back to life like some kind of automotive wizard. What could have turned into a full‑blown inconvenience (or emotional breakdown) ended up being quick and painless. No lectures, no eye‑rolling...just efficient help and a running vehicle again. The car was not tired, but the battery was a bit weak. While roadside service was free through our insurance plan, we had to pay for battery, which was reasonably priced. Highly recommend Alpha Roadside Services and Battery... especially if your car enjoys surprise rebellion.

Unacceptable Experience -- Hidden Charges and Poor Customer Service…read more I would give Lamb's Tire & Automotive zero stars if that were an option. I purchased a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change advertised to include up to five quarts of oil, a standard oil filter, and other listed services. When I redeemed the voucher, Lamb's charged me an additional $30, describing it as a "price discrepancy." I reviewed the Groupon's terms, and I could not find any clearly disclosed price discrepancy fee that explained this additional charge. I understand that the fine print allows certain additional charges for items such as extra oil, specialty filters, applicable shop fees, and taxes. My issue is that Lamb's did not adequately explain what the extra $30 was for or show how it was justified under the advertised offer. Customers should not have to guess why they are being charged more than the price they agreed to pay. I disputed the charge through Groupon, hoping the issue could be resolved. Instead, I spent weeks going back and forth with customer support without receiving a satisfactory explanation or resolution. The merchant reportedly refused to issue a refund, and Groupon ultimately closed the case without addressing my underlying concern. The problem is not just the $30. It is the lack of transparency and accountability. When a business advertises a discounted service through a third-party platform, customers should be able to understand exactly what is included and why any additional charges apply. If there is a legitimate reason for an extra fee, it should be clearly explained and supported by the terms of the offer. This experience left me feeling misled and frustrated. What should have been a straightforward oil change turned into weeks of unnecessary effort trying to get an answer about an unexplained charge. I should not have to spend this much time pursuing basic pricing transparency. I would not recommend Lamb's Tire & Automotive based on this experience. I encourage anyone considering a Groupon at this location to confirm the total cost and ask for a written explanation of every potential additional fee before authorizing the service. Do not assume the advertised price will be the final price. A disappointing experience that has seriously undermined my trust in this business.

However, my experience completely changed afterward. Today, I needed to replace my brake pads and attempted to remove the wheels myself. I was unable to loosen the lug nuts because they had been tightened extremely hard during my previous visit. While trying to remove them, I broke one of the wheel studs due to the excessive force required. I stopped immediately and went back to Orange Tire to address the issue. I explained that I had been there a month ago and that their team had overtightened the lug nuts to the point where I couldn't remove them. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff initially tried to blame rust. I can understand one stuck lug nut -- but not three out of five on a single wheel. That's not normal and clearly indicates improper torque. The manager spent about 15-20 minutes on the phone (possibly with the owner), and eventually told me that I would need to purchase new parts myself, bring them in, and they would replace them for free. I offered a simple and reasonable solution -- just reimburse the cost so I could handle the repair myself and not waste additional time. However, the owner responded in a dismissive and unfriendly manner, refusing any refund and insisting I follow their process. This situation shows a lack of accountability and poor customer service. What started as a great experience turned into a very disappointing one. Be careful -- over-tightened lug nuts can cause serious damage and additional expenses.
