The best gelato I have ever had!!!! We visited Bend and craved some gelato and found this place through Yelp so we give it a try. While waiting in line, we let one lady order first since we were still indecisive. She suggested us to get salted strawberry honey and their almond butter!!! We got a cup of 3 flavors which were of course salted strawberry honey, bourbon pecan and de leche seasalt...... Man!!!! I wish I didn't just have dinner earlier so I could have ordered those with waffle!! As we were walking we asked a couple if they enjoyed their gelato and both had a resounding yes that we should try it and that the line moved quickly. With that we headed across the street and got in line. As the couple mentioned while it does wrap around it doesn't take that long to get indoors. They have the entrance in the front and to avoid the crowds they have you exit via the door in the back to prevent congestion. Reading Yelpers reviews about how creamy the gelato was I instead opted to get the 5 oz (up to 3 flavors) vs. having separate cups each. I'm glad we did because it was just the right amount to share between two people! They are doing tastings at the moment and when reading reviews I saw so many people mention the roasted strawberry with honey and it was a clear winner in my book as well! Had to make that one of the flavors with the stracciatella and the dulce de leche with sea salt. Loved that they had so many classics but also some unique flavors and even some seasonal flavors on the board. The gelato here is smooth and creamy but not too overpowering in sweetness. But don't let it discourage you from checking it out. We came here the one night that we were in Bend and it was a great way to end our day-long adventure. They do allow samples right now, which was nice since there were a good assortment of different one to choose from. My partner ordered the coconut and key lime pie flavors, while I tried the salted chocolate and peanut butter and Theo chocolate fudge. The scoops were generous, even for a split scoop, which is what we both chose. Of the two I ordered, I really liked the salted chocolate. It's dark in color, so it's heavy on the cocoa powder, which I like. The salt component isn't too salty, but has a nice hint to it, so as to not take away from the chocolate flavor. I recommend trying it out if you're a chocaholic like yours truly. Glad we found some yummy dessert while walking around downtown Bend!
