I visited Bontà today on my girls trip to Naples. We had an amazing experience for our first visit and we will definitely be back. We had lattes, pastries, and brought home sandwiches for lunch. I went to Bonta's Bakery with my boyfriend for a little brunch before our workout. I absolutely loved the cutesy vibe it brought. The display of food and pastries are so aesthetically pleasing to the eye. There were so many options to choose from it was almost impossible to decide! They had pizzas and sandwiches to choose from. Don't even get me started on the pastries. The variety of stuffed croissants to tiramisu. They even had gelato at the end of the bar. You could choose to sit inside or outside, however there wasn't much room inside so me and my boyfriend chose to sit outside. My only complaint was that I didn't enjoy how thick the bread was on my sandwich but that's just a personal preference. I overall give this bakery a 4/5 stars. I 100% recommend coming and trying this place. read more

We've eaten sandwiches and desserts here many times and really enjoyed it. Yesterday we were in a hurry to go home and so we had take out. I ordered a prosciutto without cheese sandwich which they packaged right away. At home I found a very dry bread sandwich with no dressing, very little prosciutto but an abundance of arugula. In the past I believe we've gotten a pickle and dressing but not this time . Very disappointing! Our dessert was great. read more

How did this bakery sneak into Naples without me hearing about it? I suspect patrons were trying to keep this magnificent bakery for themselves. My first visit I walked out with three boxes. It is hard to decide where to start. The sugar donut (no filling) is a fluffy mouthful of goodness. Just like a giant beignet. Add a jelly filling and it is next level delicious. Croissants were gorgeous to look at and even better to eat. Buttery and crisp. Then I tried the raspberry swirled croissant and it became the best croissant in Naples. By far. The crème puff was an afterthought as we approached cash register it spoke to me. I decided to eat that on the drive home to hide the third box. My best efforts failed as the crème is so massive it squished out all over my shirt. Caught red handed I gave my wife the raspberry croissant and I was quickly forgiven. Bonta Bakery is eye candy for anyone who loves pastries. It is a trip to Italy and a delicious experience. It is ok to tell your friends because these owners deserve great success!! read more

For some strange reason, the person behind the counter kept asking me if I wanted a cup of coffee a total of four times, to which I repeatedly said no until I had to tell him not to ask again. I ordered four cannolis, but they were the worst I have ever had. These cannolis seemed to have been made days earlier, refrigerated, and repeatedly reshelved. The filling was tasteless, and the shell was spongy. read more

My wife and I went here for our first breakfast in the Florida area during our week stay. I immediately decided to try a Nutella filled croissant and a bombolone with Nutella. They were both very fresh and filled to the brim with Nutella inside each of them. I thoroughly enjoyed each. The cappuccino that I ordered with these desserts was just average. My wife instead decided to go with Panino. The focaccia bread was soft and moist, and the cold cuts inside were good as well. The place is pricey . We went back later that evening for some espresso after dinner and they were not good. I actually took one sip and decided to leave mine and not finish it. I got the prosciutto focaccia sandwich. For a bakery the bread was pretty average. It was soft and crumbly. The meat, cheese and arugula was a very nice freshness for a hot day though so the flavor was amazing. Would come back but just would try their pizza or something else. read more

Great ambiance and atmosphere- made me feel like I was ordering at a bakery in Europe. The food however, I was underwhelmed. I walked in with high expectations once I heard it was a European based bakery. The croissant was great. The coffee was basic- it tasted very much like something I would brew at home. The sandwich we ordered was okay. The ingredients were fresh but the sauces used did not fuse the ingredients together. It was an over stuffed sandwich- not sure how anyone could take a bite without having food fall out. Overall worth visiting but the sandwiches were okay. Espresso based drinks are recommended over their normal brewed coffee. read more

Love Bontà! On vacation, tried a Nutella croissant for breakfast - delicious. Went back the next day for an apricot filled donut. Returned the next day for their olive focaccia and it was unbelievably tasty. Went back for a sandwich, and it was "melt in your mouth". In the 4 times I've been here I've noticed the service is always horrible. I'm not sure if the people working have no ability to even crack a fake smile or not. As soon as I walked in I was "looked" at by the man working 2ft away and there was not even a "hi" let alone a "welcome" correct me if I'm wrong but even the best bakeries and restaurants around will be welcoming to customers. The food (pastries) are delicious but I with zero customer service I would NOT RECOMMEND this place. Don't be fooled by the gelato as well. It is good, but further down on 5th is a place called Gelat & co which has far superior gelato that makes this place equal to some eddys ice cream quality. All that being said, if good food and ZERO friendly customer service is ok for you, then you may have no problem with this place. Or perhaps they are just sticking true to the American stereotypes of Italians and just being super rude on purpose. read more

My family travels based on food and honestly this was one of the best authentic Italian cafes we've been to. The paninis, gelato, desserts and coffee were incredible like you were transported to Italy! Everyone was so super friendly. The service, vibe/ ambience was great.
