Bought them lunch. They didn't finish that day because of a bunch of reasons he told me (over sharers are normally lying). He is a squirrelly guy, lacks eye contact. So he tells me he needs more money to finish the job because it was more than he thought. When they come back the following day, I asked him to show me what was more than he thought. He freaks out storms out the house leaving some of his tools lol. Later texts me threats that I should be careful. I still have his tools they work great. Thanks Eric. You going to threaten the wrong guy and they going to go on the offensive one of these days. The next electrician, I hired new Eric, and he said that he used to bully people at another company he worked at and then he was a hot head. When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

Mike from Twin City Electrical came out to check out the fire hazard of a breaker box in the house…read morethat my partner and I just bought. That box was an absolute mess and needed to be replaced ASAP. Our home inspector took one look at it and laughed, saying that he couldn't believe that the house was still standing. Needless to say, that was a major priority in terms of renovation order of operations! Mike was very matter of fact when he came out to look at what we had. He explained what needed to be done with the box itself, as well as with the space around the box in order to meet Tonawanda codes. I'll be honest, when he first quoted a price, I felt like it was a bit high. But I'm not afraid of telling someone when I think the price is high and I appreciated that Mike was willing to work with me. After a little discussion we ended up at a price that I felt fit our budget. When it was time to actually complete the job, Mike came out with two of his crew members and made sure that everyone was on the same page about what was getting done. He then left his two assistants to finish the box and run a new line up the side of the house. I can't say enough good things about the guys he had helping him. They were friendly, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. (My husband knows a bit about electrical work but in Tonawanda you need to be licensed. His familiarity though was enough to be certain at least that the work was done well.) I'm definitely someone who likes to compare before I commit to any expenditure, so definitely call around compare pricing for your job. But I was extremely happy with the quality of the work and with the level of professionalism, so in your comparison shopping I would recommend including Twin City Electrical.

Came in, gave it 2 looks, said he had to go back and get some supplies, and came back and banged it out - whole thing took maybe an hour. I didn't really care too much about cost at that point because my son was home from the hospital so the nursery was out of commission for the first day he was home but it was super reasonable to get fixed. We hired Peer Plumbing for a complicated plumbing issue in our home we purchased last year. The work was done quickly and without issue. They also replaced a corroded Y joint in our main plumbing stack. It was done quickly, efficiently, and inexpensively. No issues there. Where things went sideways was when we had an issue with our main drain line. We had sewage backing up in our basement and lots of sewer gas, which was concerning. Other plumbers who weren't the owner were sent to our house and snaked the line. They had to come back 4 times because they didnt scope the line first as they should have to identify the true issue. Each time they came back, they also made a huge mess, tracking the sewage through my house. If I only had to deal with this one time because they fixed it the first time, it probably wouldn't have been as annoying, but this combined that they repeatedly had to come back because they didn't take the time to properly identify the issue FIRST and then do what they needed to was upsetting. Furthermore, Amy, the person who handles the phones is extremely unprofessional and really doesnt understand the concept of being in a customer service position. She was audibly annoyed with me when we were waiting to pay our invoice until the issue was fully resolved. She is blunt, rude, and just not what I would expect from a company that is so highly rated. You may be able to have a very good experience with this company, but the inconsistency in service is an issue that the owner should look into to improve his company. I would also make sure you push for more communication about what is being tested and the scope of work completed as they were lacking in this regard as well.
