Great wings at a reasonable price. Just wished they had more locations on the esr side of town

This was the first time trying Bonfire. My co-worker recommended it. I ordered The 10 pc with Fries and Boudin Balls. I initially requested the Cajun Mojo and the Jamaican Jerk. Unfortunately they were out of Jamaican Jerk so I went with the Sweet Heat. The appearance and smell were good. Wings were decent size, fries were crispy and seasoned well. Boudin Balls were a little off putting. Bland and flavorless. The wings were cooked through and seasoning was liberal. The Cajun Spices were not too Cajun for me. Tasted like a hot size with some powdered cajun spice sprinkled on. I would have preferred it more of an original Cajun Flavor. The Sweet Heat was Honey and Crushed Red Pepper. Was not very flavorful and would not get them again. I would suggest coming up with a different way of adding it. Flavors were too separated and did not resemble heat. I will try again. I was impressed in the speed in which it was prepared, the presentation and packaging were perfect. Kind of pricy, but worth it. read more

Just realized the price when up AGAIN! If you plan on making the price Higher again, you need to bring back the ORIGINAL FRIES! These Popeyes wannabe fries just ain't cutting it. I went from going to Bonfire 2-3 times a week, to going to them 2-3 times every two weeks after they switched their fries. Now that it cost $40 for two Bonfire specials, them visits are going to go to once every two weeks. All I'm saying is to LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE! Offer the original fries again. If you're going to go up on the price; give us a reason to want to pay that. I'll be visiting this review again and let's hope you listen to us. read more

Bonfire Wings is a game changer!! My favorite are the cheesy boudin balls and sweet heat wings! I highly recommend!!!

Bonfire is pretty good, consistently. Which is more than I can say for alot of wing places. I wish they had some more choices in flavors but they are food. Ive tried pretty much everything on the menu. Fried fish is good. Gumbo is decent, considering. Best wing flavors are cajun and lemon pepper. read more

Half of the wings came with the chicken hair still on them. I had multiple wings with 3-5 hairs in them. I called and they gave the explanation that there's nothing they can do if the wings still have hair on them and that some wings just come like that. I asked how can they be selling wings with the hairs still on it like it's nothing. Then they said I was exaggerating how many hairs there were even though I had plucked them out and counted them. First of all wings are Great. However on this day the service SUCKED. Gamakiel whom took the order messed it up, was suppose to be 20 wings with 50/50 flavor. This was not the case he did 10 wings with 50/50 flavor. They later realized the mistake. Asked my son if it was ok to charge me for their mistake??? WHAT. You made the mistake why should i have to pay for it. Could have been handled like sir we made a mistake on your order but we took care of it and are only going to charge you for the 10..... HELL NO THE GIRL WANTED TO ARGUE ABOUT IT... WTF. STILL WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR THE OTHER 10 ???? Then when i stated why am i going to pay for this mistake when he clearly repeated the order back to me? Then she said you dont have to come back and you not welcome. I called to order my food and they left me on hold for 20 minutes, I was driving so I added a stop in between to give them time to pick up and take my order. After they hung up on me I went online to place my order and it was supposed to be ready 15 minutes ago and I am still waiting in store for my food which is only a Bonfire Special. I've paid online already otherwise I'd leave. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years to back when I used to go to the one on Woodforest. This service is terrible and it sucks to see one of the cooks bringing food out to her friend while the lobby is full of frustrated people waiting on food. I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!! The food is wonderful. Been here multiple times. Have always used my military discount with no problems. Now that quarantine has started we have to wear uniforms to get the discount. AND, online menu for the bonfire special says 10.99 but then another bonfire menu it says 14.99. The website is misleading on prices. I was very disappointed when I called in and the price was way higher than it was beforehand. I recommend this place on food wise. But customer service, and pricing.. not so much. read more

This place had the right look. Identifying logo outside. Packed lines. Nice inside deco. Pretty clean restroom. Fairly nice staff. The staff was pretty young so you could imagine at times they had a bit too much giggling amongst each other but I dismissed it because of their age. The cheese ball boudin was very disappointing. The flavor was lacking and the cheese just threw the flavor off even more. Even the boudin ball sans cheese was gross. The wings we ordered (3 orders) were extremely salty. I was really looking for to trying the Parmesan wings but the salt content would have sky rocketed my blood pressure. The staff was pretty nice about trading out to another flavor but the second option was pretty salty too. Definitely won't be back. read more

We were a party of 4, was able to find a table. Atmosphere was low key, 6 tables, 8 stool chairs.. looks to be expanded by the looks of next door. Service was fast, by the time I filled my drink my food was called. Place was busy.. to-go orders were pretty quick. Restaurant looked clean! read more

Some of the best wings I've ever had. Every kind of sauce they have is worth getting. It can be a little pricey, but they are way better than any Wingstop or Buffalo Wild Wings. There's limited seating since it's a hole in the wall type place. If you want wings this is your place! read more

Met up a friend here for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. The wings were nicely good and sauced and seemed like a nice upgrade over the usual fare at places like BW3s or Wings and More. I have been coming here for years but haven't been in a while. It's was $60 for two bonfire specials and a Mardi Gras special. Great little place! Here are the ratings from both of us for the food we had: Boudin balls were very good: 4/5, 4/5. Gumbo is made without roux. It does have okra, so while you can technically call this gumbo, it is best described as soup. I can't bring myself to rate it as gumbo. On the other hand, it is a really good soup! As a soup: 4/5, 4/5. Wings were popular with our dining partners. The Garlic Parmesan sauce was really potent. The ranch and blue cheese dressings were pretty good. Chicken tenders were good, (these are pre-battered from a food service company). Fried catfish was excellent. Both of us decided the rating would have been 5/5 if they made their own tartar sauce, (instead, all they offer is some pitiful goo in foil packets): 4.5/5, 4.5/5. I visited the 13030 Woodforest Blvd in Houston, TX. I ordered  a 20 peice bone-in wing for my family. We were not able to finish our meal because we spent most of the meal picking feathers off our chicken. Once we asked for a refund we were told that we could not be issued a refund because we had eaten some of the wings. We were highly disappointed with this restaurant and will be placing our review on Google and yelp and reaching out to the Houston health department and Texas department of  State Health Services regarding this restaurants negligence of food safety. read more

My son and I used to drive all the way across town to come to our favorite wing joint. Now it's.....well just okay. The wings used to be baby Pterodactyl dinosaur size, but now they're just regular Cornish hen size. On this day I picked up some to go orders for a meeting with my coworkers with everyone ordering Mardi Gras specials separately. Everyone enjoyed their meals but mine was minus the Two Boudin balls the special comes with. The BBQ sauce was still a bit spicy but had another funny taste I didn't care for. Maybe they changed the recipe for the BBQ sauce cu it used to me my favorite but not so much anymore after today. In short this was good for my coworkers, but a slight miss for me. This is definitely my favorite place for wings, sweet heat and garlic Parmesan are my favorite hands-down the best I've ever had. The people are really nice and helpful the place is clean. I always see cops here and they don't have donuts. I like the Boudin balls but I've had better for sure I wouldn't suggest them but a lot of people seem to like them I just have had a lot better. The fries are seasoned and cooked perfect. The ranch dressing seems to be homemade and not too thick. And you can't go wrong with celery and carrots. read more

This is literally a 3 minute walk from where I live and I have been here about once a year. There are probably 15 wing places in my neighborhood and this one is about dead solid in the middle. A little more meat on the wings than Wing Stop, but not nearly as tasty. I know it is a point of pride with wing places that the wings be sloppy...but this place takes it to an extreme. You could probably fill a bottle with the sauce for a single order. Fries are pretty good. You probably will leave here full, and the atmosphere is sort of fun. As for me, I would just swing a dead cat around and go to one of the 35 other local wing places you would almost certainly hit. read more

We were out in this area for a competition at San Jac College so my hubby and kids and I tried Bonfire Wings for lunch. I was a little nervous at first because the shopping center looks a little sketchy, but the interior of the restaurant is cute; very Louisiana backwoods. Love the Zydeco music playing. Great food but management and/or ownership really needs to take a look at who they hire. I tried calling in and placing an order and it took the 6th time calling to finally get through and not get ignored. Then was told to hold and didn't answer after 10 minutes of holding. I understand they are busy but they could at least say "we aren't taking over the phone orders" Update: I went in and they were not busy at all.
