Extremely disappointing and hostile experience at this Bonefish Grill. I forgot my ID, so I completely understood that I could not be served alcohol. However, the bar manager, Michael Herase, initially told us that because I didn't have my ID, no one at our table could be served, which was presented to us as an alcohol-law requirement. That was a LIE. ; being unable to verify my age does not automatically mean a legally identified 21+ guest cannot be served. He then told us that if they did serve my girlfriend and he caught me taking even a sip of her drink, he would kick us out. I had absolutely no intention of drinking her drink, making the warning feel completely unnecessary and intimidating. I work in Food & Beverage management myself and understand responsible alcohol service, but this interaction went far beyond enforcing a policy. We were the only two people in the restaurant, and the entire experience felt hostile, intimidating, and as though we were being singled out and monitored. Most concerning, the interaction felt racially motivated. I cannot speak to his intentions, but that is how the treatment made us feel. Management should seriously review this interaction and how alcohol policies are being communicated to guests. I would avoid this location, especially when Michael Herase is managing the bar. read more

Bon Appetite!! This location surpassed expectations based on reviews. From start to finish our early Saturday night birthday celebration dinner was made perfect thanks to Gracie our server. The complimentary bread with pesto was served warm and perfectly toasted. Gracie even brought out extra balsamic for dipping which our table enjoyed. Our Cab / pinot vinos came out quickly with several tastings made to find a good choice. The mussels Josephine was a favorite for the sealovers in our group of 5 with a wonderful butter sauce made for dipping. Several other interesting choices made it to our table.The madre had a large size Cobb salad with salmon and padre had the Cobb salad with chicken roasted on a fire grill. Fish and chips for the NJ madre were finished quickly and although heavily breaded there was enough cod to fill her estomago. The Mahi Mahi although a smaller sized portion was served with jasmine rice. Complimentary gluten free brownie with vanilla ice cream was served to end our night for a special birthday. Gracie checked on us often and we did not have any issues from start to finish. It was the Saturday night after Thanksgiving and FSU vs U of F Gators were playing in Tallahassee so maybe why very few people were there. I had a very disappointing experience at this location as well as Aventura Florida's location which is now closed as it should be. The level of professionalism was far below what I expected, and the service I received felt biased and uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and fairness, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. The staff's behavior came across as dismissive and, at times, discriminatory. This made what should have been a pleasant dining experience feel unwelcome and frustrating!!! My husband and I came in around 5 PM on a Friday evening and could definitely feel a change in the air. The hostess was polite and professional as was our server which isn't unusual, but it just felt different somehow in a good way. During our meal, one of the managers stopped by and mentioned that they were transitioning in a new manager and had changed things up. We could definitely tell! My husband's burger was cooked perfectly, the fries were hot and delicious and my bunless fried fish sandwich with a side of broccoli made me a believer in vegetables again. My partner and I went on the most random day but it was perfect and they had a pianist playing they also have $5 margarita Monday and idk who's behind the bar but they're incredible. We gave our compliments to the chef and Nico was our waiter he was amazing his service was top tier as well, very polite welcoming and kind. We ventured in tonight and were lucky enough to have Cynthia wait on us! She was a delight, her service was outstanding. Very attentive and friendly! Hard to find in Tallahassee?! A total disaster. After waiting for over half an hour for the apps to be delivered, we're informed that one of the apps (soup) was not available. The other two were ill prepared and cold. Just as the appetizers were brought, the entrees were delivered to the table. The staff were perplexed that we sent them back. After approximately 10 minutes, the third appetizer soup was finally brought to the table. After a period of time, the entrées were served being the exact same items that had been served 30 to 45 minutes earlier. The entire foodwas inedible! Staff is ill just prepared and not capable of adequate service in the food industry. Such a complete waste of an hour and a half to not have anything to eat. Ambience was nice, with very few people in the restaurant. That's about the only good thing we could say. There are only two servers, and it was a bit slow. Becky was very nice, and she did all she could with the limited resources she had. Bathrooms were abysmal! Both the men and the women. We notified the manager, and he gave us a couple of free bang bang shrimp tickets. G thanks! Worst part was the food. One person in our party got food poisoning from the crab fries. There were seven of us, and all of us were unhappy with the quality of the food, the temperature, and general taste. My wife and I ate at bonefish for the first time in years and were pretty disappointed to see whats happened to it. Our waitress was great and drinks were pretty good. I ordered the Cod dinner with shrimp and scallops, while my friends ordered a variety of seafood dinners. The Sea Bass was half the size it use to be and the price is higher, I tried their new potatos, and they did not come out with my mesl, they came out later and they were cold. The rice was awful and mushy, the steak was dry and when the other table mentioned it the server offered A1 sauce. They also sent orders to at least 3 tables that were mixed up and left them there with the diners only to pick it up a few minutes later and bring it to the correct table - gross. If it weren't for "Salem" this would have been a total loss. We use to frequent Bonefish and the last two visits have had horrible service. The bar service was great both times but moved to dining room for our reservation and sat 30 minutes before we were acknowledged. We stopped "Salem" and after going to try to find our server they decided to help us their self. (Thank you!) Restaurant was not packed, no wait, yet our food took over an hour to arrive. One plate was cold when we received it, the other was hot (waiting for second plate?). Salem did give us coupons however when I spoke to the manager on duty she had no apology just responded with "Did your server give you a coupon?" This restaurant has gone through some major (and needed!) turnover the past year. The new managing partner, Brandon, is doing a great job of building a new service and cooking team and is delivering great results. The menu is what you'd expect if you'd been to a Bonefish Grill elsewhere -- fresh fish, prepared properly, with flavorful sides. The drinks are creative and well-poured. Service can, at times, be hit or miss but the leadership team is quick to jump in and ensure a great experience. The star of our evening was the seabass with smoked tomato butter and risotto. It's a winter special normally served with grouper -- come in and get it while they have it! read more

It pains me to write this review but since my boss spent the entire day in pain following our brunch experience at this Bonefish, I feel that this review is very much necessary. Positives: Seated quickly (it was before 11 a.m.); the Oscar omelet was good; the server split our checks without error. Negatives: Our server admitted to be new but he definitely told us point blank that we could not mix and match our bottomless beverages (for example have one mango mimosa and a traditional); that has NEVER been the case at any other Bonefish location which leads me to believe that he was unaware or that all of the other Bonefish locations were exceptionally accommodating. Ironic? Maybe... There was a tiny particle (of what looked to be basil) in my water cup, but I chose to pick my battles due to our server's inattentiveness and just removed it myself. Service was SLOW. We had to order drinks back-to-back, almost two at at time due to how long it took for each one to arrive. And when they arrived, they clearly had been sitting on the bar, as all of the puree had time to settle and the contents of the drink were definitely not bubbly. During our visit, most of the restaurant staff congregated near the hostess stand, clearly not aware of all of the work they could have been tending to. If there was a manager on duty, we wouldn't have known since nobody but our server stopped by our table. I ordered a coffee. It never came because our server failed to write it down. My omelet entree came with toast, it was served minus toast. The creme brulee french toast was ordered by two members of my party; some pieces were far too burnt for my preference. The Eggs Benedict was the entree that we suspect caused one member of my party to fall ill. Upon delivering the entrees, the runner warned us that the plate was VERY hot, a clear indicator that it sat under the heating lamp for far too long. When we finally got our checks and walked out the door, it was 10 past 1 p.m. We spent more than 2 hours at brunch, and we left completely disappointed and since I was the one who suggested the location, I was particularly embarrassed. Restaurants have their good days and their bad days, their all-star staff and their lazy staff; and that knowledge is why I gave them two stars instead of just one. Went for dinner Thursday May 1st. We had a mix of wine, beer and cocktails and everyone enjoyed them. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Thai Chili Green Beans. Both were tasty. For mains we had a filet, salmon, fish and chips, tacos and one of the specials, Butterfish Rockefeller. Everything was delicious. I came here just for a quick happy hour. I had a blueberry martini which was very good. We decided to try the $6 bar bites. I ordered the artichoke fritto and my date had the shrimp toast. My fried artichokes seemed like they had been sitting a while. They were quite greasy and the artichoke was mushy, but the capers were a nice touch. The citrus aioli dipping sauce was delicious. My date was highly annoyed by the shrimp toast. He was expecting whole or halved shrimp on or in the toast. Instead it was shrimp bits and he could barely taste any of it in the dish. The sweet chili dipping sauce tasted just like duck sauce. I also decided to get a house salad with egg. This was a decent sized fresh salad. The hearts of palm and kalamata olives were a nice touch. We saw a staff member flirting (or at least trying to flirt) with ladies near us who appeared to be a bit uncomfortable with his lingering presence. It made us uncomfortable too. It was quite dark in there and we sat fairly close to the entrance at a high top table in the bar. A sign outside read "Please use the revolving door". Hardly anyone did and a flash of bright light would nearly blind me each time someone opened the door. Can't blame the restaurant for that but maybe they shouldn't have it so dark in the afternoon. The atmosphere is good. The restaurant was clean. The service was marginal, not very attentive, and never asked us how our food was or if we needed anything once we got our food. I could not believe how small the portions were. I ordered Chilean sea bass for 40$ and it was so small and not well seasoned. I wanted lemon but our waitress never came by. I got 6 small unflavored asparagus with it for an up-charge. My husband got spinach bacon swordfish. It was tasty. His risotto was microwave hot! We love the Weston Florida location. We were surprised that is was so empty on a Saturday night @7:30. We were greeted by our waitress and we ordered a couple of appetizers. Fried calamari and bang bang shrimp . The calamari was the head tips the size of a dime. They were dry and tiny. We asked the waitress if that was normal and she took the plate back and said she'd get another ordered that was fresh. She brought back the plate and they looked exactly the same. I sent it back. I ordered the salmon with fries (they were out of mashed potatoes) and broccoli. I was shocked at the tiny piece of fish and old yellowish broccoli (See picture) We will definitely not go back. Went to bonefish with my family tonight for dinner. Despite efficient service during a pandemic, due to food quality I do not think we will be returning anytime soon. I will start by saying we go to Bonefish quite often,maybe once a month. My husband I I always get the same thing. Drinks, bang bang shrimp and imperial dip. Tonight we had the kids with us so we ordered more then usual. We were seated right away and ordered our usual. The bang bang shrimp was so encased in sauce you couldn't make out the shrimp, the breading all came off and it was just a soggy mess. The imperial dip was half it's normal size, served in a small white dish vs the normal cast iron pan with all the crispy bits on the side, and the chips were just a lumped, soggy, greasy mess. We had to use the bread to eat it. The waitress did mess up my order, but mistakes happen and she off-topic correct it. My youngest had the gnocchi. She is a gnocchi fanatic, like literally, no gnocchi left behind policy. This she could not eat. The sauce was not existent and it was so dry. My middle daughter liked the chowder she got. The bill was $112 before tip for 2 appetizers, 3 plates and a bowl of chowder, with the chowder really being the only thing someone enjoyed. The quality of the food and portion sizes have significantly gone down. My "side" of broccoli was 3 pieces. Despite being in a labor shortage our waitress was really good. You could tell she was stretched thin but was doing the best she could. I would say try and eat local. I think the chains just don't care anymore. read more
