As our eyes adjusted after we ordered, we realized how filthy the restaurant was. I've worked in MANY restaurants and this took the cake as far as lack of cleanliness. Food all over the floor and the smell of an unclean space. We got the Tuna poke bowls which were surprisingly great. Bartender was very sweet and helpful. But I would never stop back here because of the mess. After lunch we read through the reviews and realized there are some not so good ones. And there are responses promising change. Driving back from Missouri yesterday so we decided to take a break for Dinner. Restaurant wasn't busy we were seated right away. Waitress came to our table asked us what's would like to drink. We both said just water because we still had 6 hours to drive oh and we ordered the Bang bang shrimp. Well it took waitress quite a while to bring the water. Then I guess this guy in another color shirt stop by and asked if waitress had been by and we said yes but we're waiting on our water. Got our water then Shrimp. We both enjoyed Shrimp. I really enjoy bonefish food, havin frequented the bonefish in my old state many times with nothing but great service. Tried to visit this bonefish on a very rare date night out. We went early to ensure no dinner rush so there would not be wait. Wait is what we did however. We were greeted by three employees working the host area. I don't care one way or another on the mask,but either set an expectation or don't. One maskless, one chin strap and one properly wearing it. We were sat quickly however, comfortable booth, by a nice gentleman. That's when the wait started... no one... nothing.... Another table was sat about 5 minutes after we sat down, after about 3-4 minutes for them, their waiter arrived. Us however? No waitress had arrived. 13 minutes after sitting down, out we left without once being greeted by any person to take orders. Three hostess', and about 15 people walking around the kitchen area chatting. It's no wonder a 7oz filet costs $30, to cover the terribly unproductive scheduling. read more

I have been eating here for years and happily spent $1000's on their great food, service and ambience. What happened to this place over the past few months is beyond me! My last three trips in since March until today have been nothing short of disastrous, disgusting and I've left hungry every time but still spent $100s. My last trip I had their seafood stuffed cod (a personal favorite) and my wife had a medium well steak. My cod was stone cold and my wife's steak incredibly rare. They apologized, took both plates away and returned in less than 5 minutes with leathery food they had obviously microwaved. It was disgusting. They took my uneaten meal of the bill but we still wasted $100. We tipped appropriately because the service was good. Despite reservations I took my mum there today for an early Mothers Day meal and we both ordered steak. Thankfully her well done steak was cooked great, my medium well steak came out so raw when I cut into it, it squirted blood all over my mash and vegetables. They took the plate away and five minutes later returned with the same piece of steak now charred beyond well done and my same mash and veg now stone cold. Didn't charge me for it but again I left hungry and disappointed and still paid $75 for the third disgusting meal in a row! I don't know what happened to the quality of their kitchen staff, but a Chick Fil A sandwich tastes better than the garbage their now churning out. Never again! We recently stopped in to try out their lunch service. It was a delightful experience. It was a hot summer day but the restaurant was cool and the lighting a bit dim providing a needed respite from the unrelenting sun outside. I immediately felt relaxed. Our server Austin, was excellent, and made some great recommendations as he helped us navigate the new lunch offerings. We quickly realized that lunch was a great deal! We settled on the lunch portion fish and chips as well as their lunch special which consisted of your choice of two tacos, a side, and a soup or salad. We selected the bang bang shrimp tacos but we could have chosen a mixture of fish taco or bang bang. For the sides, we chose fries, and a chowder soup. The fish and chips were well fried, juicy, crispy, and flavorful! I would order them again and ask for the dipping sauce that comes with the calamari in addition to the yummy tarter just to experience more flavors. The bang bang tacos were tasty. Everyone loves bang bang shrimp and these tacos were stuffed and more filling than we expected with the signature taste and a great slaw. The fries were perfectly crisp and oh so satisfying for both the dishes. I had not had fries in a few months and these really hit the spot. I didn't feel I wasted the calories. They had a tons of really healthy and flavorful bowl and salad options, mainly with seafood protein, that we will return to try. There full dinner menu is available too, so you can get your favorites at lunch. The only thing that fell a little flat was the bisque. It was good but a little cool for our tastes and maybe a bit too rich (if that is such a thing!) but it was not lacking in quality we just preferred other items more. If you want to experience bonefish, lunch offers an elegant setting with the same quality food and service but at lunch prices. So dip into the serenity of one otheir cool booths and enjoy! Please give me a good waiter! I want butter with my bread and asked twice then finally asked someone else. They were out of sablefish but didn't tell us until 10 minutes after ordering. They were also out of Crab stuffed cod and a few other things. I finally settled on rainbow trout with mango salsa. Finally got my butter. I placed my empty water glass at the edge of the table so someone would fill it. The entire service was slow and the place was practically empty. Our fish was delivered but my empty glass was ignored. Now, my fish (rainbow trout) was the driest I've ever had - even with the mango salsa and butter that I had for my bread on it. Horribly dry. The QC in the kitchen or on the line is not there or that piece of fish would have never been served to a paying customer. Let me discuss the lack of team work. I almost choked on my fish and the new waiter had not refilled my water. I could not get anyone's attention to ask for water. Our poor waiter was busy taking other orders. The receptionist even ignored my motions for her to come over. She was "busy" chit chatting with other staff but clearly saw me waving. I got up and took my glass back to the kitchen for a refill. My waiter was back there by this time and apologetic. When I mentioned to the waiter about my horribly dry fish, he asked if I wanted a to go bag. No! I wanted a good meal. I asked the waiter who the manager was and he did not offer to send him over. There was no offer of a discount (even on a future visit), or a dessert or anything. This was one of the worse experiences that I have had in a restaurant in a long, long time. The worse! The management needs to step up its game and the employees need to work together like a well oiled machine. There are too many other places that I can spend my money. I didn't take it out on the waiter though and he got well over a 20% tip. It will be a very long time before I go here again. Tally Fish house will see more of my money. read more

I have come here twice in the past week and let me tell you - I will keep coming back. The first night was a Thursday and while the food that night was a bit subpar (not the standard they usually produce), the meal I initially ordered was unavailable and we were notified a bit late - not a big deal, it happens, but it took quite a while to get our food. What we intended to be maybe an hour long experience took about 2 or a tad more. The service staff and the manager however completely changed the experience for us. They took care of their customers and I was thoroughly impressed to say the least. How you treat your guests is just as important, if not more so, than the product you provide. For that - I will absolutely be back, and back I went on Monday night for an event. My second visit was spectacular. The food - fantastic, the Watermelon Martini - beyond refreshing and light. Summer in a glass dare I say. I had Calamari, Bang Bang Shrimp, and even tried a Wagyu slider. For a restaurant known for seafood - they nailed that Slider. Well for the main course - a newer item from my understanding was the Grouper with Bel Air Topping of Lemon, Goat Cheese, Sundried Tomato, and artichoke. Oh my was this delicious. Waste of time and money drinks tasted like water, and when I received the food, it was cold!!!

Haven't been to this Bonefish location in many years and I remember it being good. Not this time. Ordered calamari and it came out in tiny pieces that was way overcooked. Calamari should be lightly fried. They changed the dipping sauce too. I remember it being different from years ago and it wasn't good. The crab and cheese stuffed cod was bland, and way overcooked too. I can tell they have really cut corners and changed their menu to cut costs. My date got steak and shrimp, and she didn't even eat half of it. It was overcooked and bland too. You got kids as waiters that should be working at Cracker Barrel, not a nice restaurant. $80 for 2 dinners and an appetizer. We got water too and no drinks. Bonefish has cut so many corners to try and save money. I remember this place being so good years ago. Not anymore. Stop hiring kids with no experience and training; Won't be back. Ordered bang bang shrimp - something different about it - cant put my finger on it but the recipe definitely changed. The corn lump crab chowder had NO CRAB in the whole dish. Decided to visit this Bonefish Grill for a birthday dinner invite. Upon arrival I discovered I was the first guest there for the reservation. I asked the hostess if I could go ahead and be seated with the balloons and cake however, she stated that half the party had to be there. Side note: there wasn't anywhere to sit and wait inside of the restaurant and in addition to that, several people were already waiting and the entrance area was very congested. After a different guest from the asked her, she allowed us to set everything up. The food wasn't extraordinary. I ordered salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. To start, my broccoli was so overdone it was practically baby food, my mashed potatoes were not hot and the salmon was just average. Wasn't very satisfied with the quality of the food for what I paid. Thankfully our waiter, Makai was awesome. He was very kind and was sure to provide us with everything we needed. All 4 stars are for his great service, but due to the quality of the food; I'm not sure that I'd return. read more

My family and I had a 1 p.m. reservation on Mother's Day (May 8, 2022). We arrived shortly before 1 p.m. but were told there would be a short wait, as the dining room was overbooked and there were several reservations ahead of ours that were also waiting to be seated. After 45 minutes of waiting outside, we still hadn't heard anything and went back inside to inquire. The hostess then informed us that there would still be an estimated 20-minute wait, at which pointed we told her to just cancel our reservation. We ended up going to a different restaurant nearby, where we were immediate seated and served. Needless to say, we will not be returning, as this restaurant appears to be poorly managed and disrespectful if its customers' time. Bonefish Grill now has four fewer customers than it had prior to today. read more

My wife had the Cod Imperial, one of their Starred dishes. I had blackened shrimp and grouper off their Summer Menu. My wife's dish was barely warm. My shrimp was good but the grouper was totally tasteless. The waitress went out of her way to ignore us. Had to wave to her across the room to get a refill on my wife's wine. A loaf of bread was served with a tray of olive oil and seasonings for dipping. She never offered to refill the dipping tray. Even Macaroni Grill will bring more olive oil and pepper and they will even bring another loaf of bread. No such service at Bonefish Grill. This was a Saturday evening and the place was half empty, maybe a sign of the really bad service. read more

Bonefish has definitely gone downhill since when it first opened. I went for lunch with a friend. We ordered the bang bang shrimp. It was good. Came out quickly and the shrimp was hot. For our entrees, I got the special, which was the salmon topped with a shrimp Rangoon. My friend ordered the lobster tail and crab cake. My salmon dish was weird... the salmon was warm, almost overdone but the Rangoon topping was cold. How is that possible? The same for the mashed potatoes... they were lukewarm. We were asking for a table with electrical outlets that we can plug in our computer since we were at our business trip. The hostess was kind enough to look for one for us. We started with lobster stuff shrimp appetizer. It is almost like scampi but with lobster stuff on the shrimp. Good appetizer. I have the Grilled Chilean Sea Bass with magpies salsa sauce and the Oscar style sauce on the side. The Oscar style sauce is actually from lobster sauce. The sea bass was grilled perfectly. My co-worker has the grilled sea scallops and it was well presented. Overall our experience here was great. In and out this restaurant in one hour. Bonefish in Tallahassee used to be our number 1 restaurant. Visit today is another example of a premier restaurant hitting the bottom in customer service and quality of food. Cod Imperial was hard to chew and almost tasteless. Vegetable was brocolli, but it didn't arrive until after we were ready to leave. This is regarding a take out order I placed on September 2, 2018. I ordered a Bang bang shrimp eggs Benedict and Grand manier french toast, and both were prepared very poorly. I can't believe I paid $24 for these dishes. I wanted to take them back , and would have done it if I had time. Eggs Benedict - it came with a mushy, inedible asparagus. They looked so overcooked and yucky. You wouldn't serve them to anyone, especially a paying customer. Also the hollandaise sauce was all separated and very strangely flavored, almost tasted like it had gone bad. The muffin underneath was almost burned and too hard to chew. French toast - they forgot to include berries, although they asked me "do you want berries and cream on the side?," and I said yes. Also 2 of the 3 pieces were almost burned, and one of them (the one didn't burn) didn't have the sugar/ Grand manier glaze. I hope someone will see this and tell the general manager. I would have taken it back, if I wasn't in a hurry/ if I had time to cook something else for my brunch. I'd like to know if I brought these dishes back, if they would have refunded me and apologized appropriately. Bonefish is a decent chain, and the price point is not low. A great experience at Bonefish Grill! All the staff at Bonefish Grill, from the managers on down, know how to treat visitors and make everyone feel so welcome! During a recent Official Yelp Event, we were showered with so many tasty menu samples, including delicious and unique martinis, and they made sure that we felt like royalty! The event was an intense experience, with so many different items, so I made sure to come hungry! To start things off, we were seated with a drink in hand, the Fresh Watermelon Martini (hand-muddled watermelon, house-infused English cucumber vodka and fresh sour, garnished with frozen watermelon cubes), before snacking on a trio of appetizers: Bang Bang Shrimp, Wagyu Beef Sliders and Crispy Calamari. Then we were off into the main course, with the Neighborhood Catch fresh fish (a Grouper filet) paired with a glass of Chardonney. And last, but certainly not least, we finished the evening with the Fresh Espresso Martini (Vanilla Vodka, Kahlua, Kahlua, Dark Crème de Cacao, and a shot of Fresh Brewed Espresso) and a Macadamia Nut Brownie (a flourless brownie topped with raspberry sauce, vanilla ice cream, and sprinkled with macadamia nuts).
